- I have been sitting on this footage for a couple of months waiting for Malibu to make their official announcement, and it's finally time to show you all what this new Malibu 24 MXZ is all about. For 2021 they kept the same great wake as the old boat, but really upgraded it to more closely match their newer offerings.

That’s a sick interior! Perfect balance of party deck boat and smth to pull a skier. 👍🏼
EXCEPTIONAL overview of all the newest improvements. Love this boat! Looks sick!!!
The pylon placement is outstanding!! No jerking rope like on higher pylons!
That is a great looking boat! The all-black exterior and brown interior is such a good combo.
I saw one like this but it was a 23 lsv
pretty sure that boat will cost more than every house i'll ever owned combined haha
if it makes you feel any better, I've never even owned a house before
@@ltownandfriends4531 thanks buddy. I feel better now lol
I have an inflatable unicorn. It is a pretty sweet ride.
😂
Love this boat!
*PARTY PALACE!* Hell, yeah!
Thanks for another great video! Are we going to get a tour of the M220 soon?
We’ve got one on order!
Not video specific, but kudos to your videos. Very informative and helpful. I was however really looking forward to your make/model head to head...I haven’t found a channel that does a TFL (The Fast Lane) comparison on boats as they do vehicles and I always appreciate their feedback on new models/ features and how they stack up to the competition. Hope you’d didn’t get too much pressure from the manufacturers on that leading to canceling the idea (it was a good one)
Alright I made my decision no wife no kids this is what I am getting 😎
hey Chantel, great vid as always. What options do you think are the ones to get with this boat? I'm strongly considering getting one of these MXZs, and am interested to hear what your buyers (and you) think are worth getting and which ones maybe are a tougher value proposition.
This may be a video we do in the future, but some things I would definitely recommend - Wakeview Bench Seat, all the wake stuff (Surf Gate, Power Wedge, Bow Ballast, Plug n Play), Power Lift Helm Seat, Deck Track (whether you do soft grip flooring or snap-out carpet, I would get this!), pop-up cleats, LT4 engine upgrade if you are at a higher elevation, Back-Up Camera, Sport Dash w/ Wireless charging, whatever stereo upgrades you'd like, heater. I also like the Clamping Racks, but they are expensive! Transom steps on the trailer for sure.
$150k and more. I'll pass.
So wait......the battery storage area must keep that cushion there in the foot area? I saw a clear, plastic shield over the batteries but it didn't cover them completely and plus seeing the batteries is ugly.
The clear plastic you saw is the windscreen, that's where it is stored when not in use. The cushion covers the batteries, they aren't just in full view...
M6 or LT4? Which motor would you pick for this boat? It the LT4 worth the extra coin?
We are at sea level here, and the M6 is great. If you are at higher elevations, it could be worth the upgrade
How does the 24’ MXZ compare to the 23’ LSV? What’s the main difference in the wake and features on the boat besides traditional bow vs pickle fork?
The features on the boat are very similar now. The 24MXZ gives you more space all throughout the boat, but especially in the bow. Because it is longer and heavier, the surf wake is naturally a bit bigger and longer, but both are really good. If you like the pickle fork, but don't necessarily need the big 24 footer, you could check out the 23MXZ!
Chantel Herbert Thanks so much. That was very helpful. the storage locker on the 24 make me want to go that route over 23. Kind of in a debate between the 2021 24’ MXZ and the 2021 G23.
I remember years ago when you bought a 21 ft boat, it was 21 ft, and then you could add a swim platform, now
on a 21ft boat 3 ft of it is swim platform, thats why they are much smaller inside.
All the Malibu boats are the length listed, plus the platform. This boat is 24 feet and the platform adds about 2.5 feet.
@@ChantelBoats
That is nice to hear.
@@stevesweetwater2871 😂
My 1989 Ski Brendella Short-line Comp was $15.500 This thing must be 10 times that.
Are you still going to do that compression video for each boat and give it a score? Would love to see this compared to a supra SA and SL.
No, we had to scrap that plan. But this boat would be more comparable to the Supra SE. The SA and the SL are more in line with the 23LSV and the 23MXZ.
Need to perforate the seating to keep the heat content down. Start using real leather would be a nice bling option.
We need more supra moomba vids!
So Amazing
What do you think of the MB sports brand?
I know a lot of people really like them, but they aren't my favorite. I like the performance of an Axis or a Moomba much better!
Putting in my order tomorrow. Please tell me if the interior here is sepia brown or saddle brown? Thank you in advance
It’s the cool sepia. Congrats!!
@@ChantelBoats my dealer says cool sepia doesn’t exist. They referred me to the Malibu catalog. At least with the 23lsv. That I have to order saddle brown to get the new cool vinyl. Apparently there is 4 colors total you can get on the née cool vinyl. The sepia looks great tho
My dilemma is that I want the cool touch vinyl but I’ve never seen the saddle brown in person. Only the sepia brown which Larson’s marine is saying is not the new cool touch vinyl. Hmm
Hey! I just realized I told you wrong - when not getting the cool touch, it's called Sepia Brown. When you get the Cool Touch, it is called Cool Saddle Brown - I am sorry about that! The color is the same whether it's the Cool Touch or not, but the texture is a little different.
Want it
I am in the market for a 24-25 ft wake boat. Can you tell me your top 3 picks that I could start looking at.
I would check out either the 24MXZ or 25LSV from Malibu (depending on if you like the pickle fork or the traditional bow), the Supra SE, and the Nautique G25. All are different, but awesome in their own way!
Chantel Herbert I like the pickle fork but mainly need a big boat for the kids and there friends that throws a good wave for a good value
I would say the Supra se is the best deal

Which Malibu model do you recommend for wakeboarding?
Depends on what size boat you want! Malibu does a really great job not sacrificing the wakeboard wake to get a good surf wake. Some of the models come in a diamond hull or a wake (or wake plus) hull, so keep an eye on that. The diamond hull softens the wake up when on plane so it is easier to cut through on a slalom ski, but it does make the wakeboard wake a little softer as well.
@3:50 Where would you store the anchor?
In one of the side compartments. Next to the cooler perhaps? The box anchor is a shape/size that is easy to slip under other gear.
I have 2018 22mxz and love the layout but not a fan of the battery location in this boat. Other than that awesome boat!!
Awesome! The 22MXZ is a killer boat!
What about the battery location bothers you?
Motor? Speed? Fuel? Only thing I really care about. Thanks.
Gm 6.2 , 400hp cruising speed 35 mph top 45-50, ballast tanks great sound system and ok on fuel
Just look it up that stuff is easy to find
Speed on a tow boat for surfing and wakeboarding, really? 😂
Price?...
I ask the same question my self.
Wouldn't surprise me to see a price tag on this thing of $70,000
Terry Wilson you’re joking right?
Terry Wilson lol I wish
@@LakeDadsWorld you mean $170,000???
Whats the difference in the 24 MXZ and a M240?
The M240 is Malibu's flagship boat. Every option available is on it, so it is a BEAST! Compared to this boat, it has a higher freeboard and is a little shorter. Has a slide-out Yeti cooler, so the interior has a little bit different layout. More details like diamond stitching throughout, etc. M240 is next level.
Do you think the Supra SA boats are better than this?
The SA is 2 feet smaller, so I wouldn't really compare the 2. The SA is more in line with the 23LSV or 23MXZ.
What’s the dry weight?
6,000lbs
how many people can it fit?
17 people legally, but I would say 13-14 comfortably.
How much does that bad boy cost?
You'll have to reach out to your local dealership for pricing.
Only reason my family doesn’t want a Malibu is because of the batteries in the bow, you can’t sit normally up there, you have to lay down
Yeah, I get that. They found that most people put the bow filler cushion in and never take it out, so they decided to take advantage of the space. But not a good fit for everyone.
Chantel Herbert yeah I like it, but my family doesn’t😕 it’s alright still an awesome boat!
This or the Yamaha 255?
This for sure if surfing is what you are wanting to do!
What is your favorite boat for 2020
Whew! That is a hard question. The Supra SA was new for 2020 and I think that boat is amazing. The 23LSV is always a favorite. I really like to ski, so I loooooove the Malibu 20VTX - best crossover out there!
This bitch is Gorgeous! I had to subscribe.
How to people afford this in college ;-;
That interior is hideous!!! Hope they have gray scale too.
There are tons of color options for the interior!
130k boat. could spend 130k to move to a place that has real waves to surf lel
once again, a boat designed by a guy who watched too much japanese mangas as a kid...
