Great video! One question, I saw that the cushion on the bow just open for a small compartment on the starboard side, not on the port side to give access for the huge storage. Is that right? My LSV opens it and it's so useful. Wondering why they did that...
From a surf wake perspective how does this compare to the 25 LSV? Is there much difference between rough water, it sounds like for a busy lake the M 220 would have an advantage over the 25 LSV. Head count wise the difference in the boats is not important to me. Coming from a 23 MXZ want better wake and better rough water. Which one?
Both the 25LSV and the M220 will be better for rough water than your 23MXZ. If you don't need the length of the 25LSV, I'd go M220. It is my favorite model that Malibu has come out with. The wake is a little shorter than the 25LSV, but it's naturally a little taller and steeper.
The depth on the M220 makes it feel super roomy and solid. I still love me a 23LSV, but the M220 blew me away. More expensive, of course, but an amazing boat!
The M220 wake is a little shorter, but not a ton. Both are super long compared to other brands - I would say the M220 is taller/steeper. You'd be stoked on either wake - between the 2, I would pick the one that fits your crew the best!
The 23LSV will with the GX tower with the racks taken off - both 14in and 18in wheels. The M220 would fit with the GX tower with racks off, only the 14in wheels (18in wheels put you at 96.5", so if you have a little bit of wiggle room, it could work)
Not yet - I haven't gotten an advanced rider back there, but will update once we do. Malibu doesn't usually sacrifice the wakeboard wake to get a good surf wake, but I don't know for certain on this model.
Great video Chantel. Have a question looking for a surf boat but am limited in size. What would you recommend for a family of 4 surf, oneeboard, tubing boat in @ 20 ft. Have been watching your videos all summer appreciate the angle you take to present information
If you are looking Malibu, I loooooove the 20VTX. Awesome boat. The Axis A20 is a really great option if you are looking in the value brands. Surf wake would be great on either one, but the VTX has a better ski wake and more technology!
There are more/higher end options available on this boat. The hull is MUCH deeper than any other Malibu (besides the 240). This is a bit shorter than the 23MXZ, but it feels bigger to me.
Does anyone make a bow bag for this model? With the batteries on one side, and the cooler in the middle, and the storage up front, I'm not seeing where you could fit an additional ballast bag in the front.
There isn't really a spot for one (there is already a bow hard tank), but it's not really necessary - the way the boat rides, bow rise isn't a huge issue. If you had to have one, you could put it in the walk thru.
Hi Liam! The dealership I work for doesn't sell MasterCraft and I haven't really sought them out to review because they aren’t in my top five. I know a lot of people really love them and they do some cool stuff, just not for me.
Malibu should make you their spokesperson. You're great at this. 👍
This looks like a party boat that could also be a relax type boat
Sweet! I've been waiting for your review and, as usual, you did a great job! Thanks for doing it.
I would love to see how deep the storage lockers beneath the sets are & what the rear lockers look like with the ballast bags full.
Gorgeous girl Gorgeous boat.
sweet boat!
AWESOME!

I'm not sure why they omitted that on this model. I do like that feature on the LSV!

@@ChantelBoats Thanks so much for the timely reply!
What would be your argument for the M220 over the 23LSV, if they were similarly equipped?
The depth on the M220 makes it feel super roomy and solid. I still love me a 23LSV, but the M220 blew me away. More expensive, of course, but an amazing boat!
I love how they advertise direct injection no large engine in the last 20 years has a carb
Chantel, how would you compare SURF wave of m220 vs 24 MXZ? I assume m220 is taller, but do you give up significant LENGTH??

With the tower down will the M220 or LSV 23 fit in a garage with 8ft height clearance?
The 23LSV will with the GX tower with the racks taken off - both 14in and 18in wheels. The M220 would fit with the GX tower with racks off, only the 14in wheels (18in wheels put you at 96.5", so if you have a little bit of wiggle room, it could work)
Any feel for the Wakeboard Wake? I would love to know how it compares to the G21 and / or x22 for Advanced riders.

If not skiing and on a budget A20 is great. The Supra SR is my choice. Closer to 21ft but Ana amazing boat
So what are the differences between the m220 and mxz 23? Is it all mainly in the hull?

Can you review the M240? Thank you Chantel!!
We don't have any in right now, but I will if I get the chance!
How come you dont review mastercraft boats ?
Hi Liam! The dealership I work for doesn't sell MasterCraft and I haven't really sought them out to review because they aren’t in my top five. I know a lot of people really love them and they do some cool stuff, just not for me.
Chantel Herbert fair enough, thank you for the reply and always keen on your reviews and videos 🙂👍
Hi, aprox how much for a basic spec?
I would get in touch with your local dealer for pricing! Lots of variables, including where you are in the country!

That helm is like a car... my boat a 28ft Boston Whaler has a normal helm like every other boat. why do wake boat have helms like that???
To make you feel better about spending 180k
How do you afford these boats?
I work for a boat dealership so I have access to all of the new boats. I wouldn't be able to do this without that.
Doesn’t match a pavati, not even close
I mean it’s a third of the price sooooo
