I almost chose this case but instead I went with the Lian Li O11 RGB EVO. I'm happy with my decision. The cougar FV270 was also in the running because of its uniqueness.
For those having trouble with the top screw on the glass panel, open the door first. Also it's important to keep a hand under it to prevent pressure on the hinges while doing so. Edit: Just re-tried it, and turns out keeping a hand under the door isn't necessary, it's secure enough. So just need to make sure the door is open wide enough for the screw to unscrew.
I have this case and before i bought it, no one had mention the light on the power button blinks when in sleep mode with the power of the sun behind it...lighting up my bedroom as if it was daylight.
Hi! Just wanted to ask, if I buy the case now, will it have the updated HDD cage at all? I love this case a lot and would love to try a build with rear connectors but I'm really worried about damaging parts as it will be my first ever PC build! Oh and also, is the double fans on the CPU cooler just another 3 attatched to the back of it? I'm new to building PCs is all!
Good review, I built my last rig in a Corsair 4000D, I like it but it's a not ideal. Considering a Corsair 6500X , Corsair 7000D or ASUS GT502 for my next build.
my son built in corsair case, dont know name, had 2 front panel stand offs that broke off when opened first time. What we have been dealing with is how bad the icue software is. brand new build, 1 week old and had to reinstall windows due to some weird effects that the software did. he built a completely corsair setup and it sure seems to be a pile of junk. after reinstall left icue off and so far no issues.
I own the Corsair 7000X. The 6500X isn't a bad case but compared to other manufacturers the price and quality control falls short especially against Lian Li. I still like Corsair but not for their newer cases.
@@TheProvokedPrawn The same as the 7000D but the tempered glass panels look nicer at the cost of a small difference in temps. If you your not using an AIO/open loop or live in a hot climate I'd stick with the 7000D.

@@TheProvokedPrawn I think i like the way you set out the fans in you videos.. I Think I bought enough fans to do either. haha how is the air flowing in the case? drawing in the air from the push/pull through the rad and the bottom fans.. and exhaust out the top and back?
Hey, very good review! I like your videos! I recently got the 6500X for my white build. It has 10 QL 120mm fans with AIO on top with ML120 as a push and pull system. Pull in from the bottom and side and out from the back and top. It's not officially supported but a 360 fits in at the top as a push and pull with 120mm fans. (H150i Elite Capellix). @@TheProvokedPrawn must be so. Just find this interesting as they do not talk about 5.25 anywhere on the product page and mention 3.5 and 2.5 bays. Bravo for bringing this cable and cage issue to light and thanks to them for taking this design flaw seriously.
Yeah it's a great move from Corsair
As of today, they haven't provided the fix yet.
Good response corsair! I honestly didn’t think they would do anything and here they are manufacturing an entirely new part. Great!
Good result, well done from both parties.
