    Through Michael Landon I was able to confirm what tears of joy can mean. Perhaps it's my age, but through his scripts and his personality which flows from the screen, Mr. Landon has brought me a new sense of happiness and showed me that the possibility of love can be found at any age.

      His characters did. He was a excellent actor, writer, producer, director. However, don't canonize him; he was a human being. He did balance his life with the characters he created and we all love him but don't confuse the characters with the man who was simply human who started with a horrible childhood. He deserves all the accolades, no question about that.

When he went home to Jesse, I called my bro-in law, but to me he loves me as a big sis, and to me, he IS my bro. He has as much compassion, and he really liked Michael Landon as ‘Lil Joe on Bonanza. He was down when I called,, but he reminisces. And YES, this was one good show.

    Michael Landon was to TV, what the sun is to the Earth...warm, nurturing and a burst of bright, shining light..."Bonanza", "Little House on the Prairie" and "Highway to Heaven" were tv shows that changed America for the better, that showed that good, always, defeats evil, and that were/are what true entertainment is all about.
    With the exception of a handful of TV dramas and sitcoms today, I wish I could say the same about today's tv offerings...Many of today's sitcoms and dramas recycle old original storylines and lack the, authenticity, quaint charm and lasting appeal that tv shows, like, "Little House on the Prairie", "The Big Valley", "Hart To Hart", and "The Andy Griffith Show" had/have.
    Michael Landon and Victor French were the dynamic duo of TV, both on "LHOTHP" and "HTH"...It's a pity they both died so young...Had he lived to see his golden years, Michael Landon would've added many more hit TV shows to his significant and substantial body of work, as an executive producer, director and actor and, likely, would have ended up owning his own TV nd movie studio.
    Thank GOD for UA-cam, where, we can rewind, while rewatching and reliving our favourite old TV shows.
    RIP Michael and Victor.

    • @lemurlover7975
      @lemurlover7975 5 років тому +7

      well- I have - but its hard - and I almost died a bunch ... was raised in a horrible environment surrounded by certain types of gangs plus other types of crazy people not in gangs...but the individuals sometimes experience guilt and a desire for mercy and they have to feel this more strongly than the desire to rape and murder people (ie me) in order to stop...apparently this is nearly impossible for almost all of them. I had to deal with the KKK gang - it was terrifying. I sang them the anti-gang song "Gangsters Paradise" they get upset when they cant make you afraid by threatening you with knives and guns. they get a thrill from fear. so the key is to show no fear, even if you're terrified. and listen to them. there is some reason they are doing this, they're in pain. if you listen to their pain when they've kidnapped you, and are holding you hostage so they can beat, rape and kill you, they will more likely let you go (but still rape you) or they might dump your unconscious body in a dumpster after they rape you because they think you're dead but since you're not actually dead, it's good they stopped raping you and dumped you somewhere before you were dead. you have to sing them a lot of songs about how you want to stay alive. It seems to annoy them and then they decide to let you live. Anyway, I am still alive. And if they say delusional things to brainwash you like "You enjoy it when I torture you" or "Satan will give me eternal life as a demon," you just have to tell them they are delusional psychopaths each time and give them a reality check. They really don't like having reality checks so they want to make you leave so they can live in their fantasy world where they are best friends with Satan who they say makes them powerful.

      Don't know if it is fact or he was joking, but on one of his Johnny Carson appearances, Michael Landon said he had to dye his hair because he had a gray streak right down the middle like a skunk. I've not seen anything to verify it so it might have been a joke, but I do know such things happen. My younger sister had beautiful red hair, the real red, and had a streak of orange the size of a nickel on one side. I wonder what it would have looked like if there had been a reunion of this series with the Touch of Angels series, even though these two adorable series aired on different decades.

    I USED TO LOVE THIS SERIES and I still do ! It's like music and cinema and all arts. What was good ended in the 80's! From cinematography to music without just the same repetition of 4 notes, painting that's like a turd in a can, and of course TV that just sells reality TV that is the most dull boring and for stupid fools
    Peace

    I think the opening scene of this show is the best opening of any show ever made. I have to say though that I wish he would take off that heavy jacket. I mean he can read anyone's mind as an angel but never checked in to see what the local weather would be where he was going? Like seriously, it looks waaaay too hot out for that coat... and with looks like his there's no justifying keeping that shirt on either... lol

    This episode has one major flaw ... it doesn't go into the retaliation that the gangs commit when they have been brought to justice. Yes, stand up against them, but get ready for pay-back too.
