Dear Professor, I am learning the bases of the language to communicate with an elderly lady that I always see when I walk with my dog, she does not speak Italian, I do not speak Arabic, but we both love my dog and she is always sitting by herself and seems to want to talk to me, but we cannot. I will work hard to learn Arabic thanks to you and I will make her feel less lonely. Thank you for this brilliant lesson.

I think you should respect the Arabic language by using common religious sayings like. Ramadan Mubarak but not everyone should have to learn arabic, they should have koran translated to the language of that other muslim country so the people can learn it. Christians all learn the Bible in their own language and respect Greek as the language of the New Testament so they will say Kyrie Eleison and a few more words like when the Arab Orthodox chant they respect the Greek and chant the first verse in Greek and the rest in Arabic and we Greeks appreciate that respect ) but we don't expect them to learn Greek its hard.
I don't think being a Muslim or not has to do anything with a language...i get it where you're coming from....i wanna learn the language too it's just sounds fuckin beautiful to me..... I'm.an atheist and that has nothing to with my attraction for the language.... It just sounds cool to be honest

Yea but it's best to learn the alphabet and how to write it, because how can you learn a language you can't read ? Greeks, Jews Russians, Chinese and many others have their own alphabet so when I teach Greek I first teach the alphabet and the sounds so then they will learn to read it. Arabic is hard because the letters connect where as in Hebrew for example the letters have space so if you learn you can understand it. I just had more interest in Arabic because I loved singing. now I'm more into Chants so I can learn my faith just as muslims learn and understand their koran. I'm learning it in both languages Greek and Arabic and then I also learned a little Russian since I used to go to a Russian church in NY
I am student of BS Physics, and trust me, i have a deep love and affection for the Arabic language due to it's deepnes and beauty of it's words. Trust me! I have set a target to learn this beautiful language as soon as possible (especially in the upcoming summer vacations, because i will be free to perform this holy task.)

Same I want to instantly understand what I’m saying when I’m praying. I mean I kinda know what it means but it doesn’t automatically register in my head. I have to remind myself what I’m saying constantly which takes too much time. I need Arabic to be as natural for me as English is.

Same I want to instantly understand what I’m saying when I’m praying. I mean I kinda know what it means but it doesn’t automatically register in my head. I have to remind myself what I’m saying constantly which takes too much time. I need Arabic to be as natural for me as English is.

The modern standard and the classical arabic are the same I m arab and we studied it in school from young age
