Holy fucking shit fuck you read my mind 5 minutes ago, but did you hear him, he knows what he's doing, by custom he's speaking lightly, it's a head scratcher for even clunt's people.
Jesus christ it sounds amazing. Imagine this beast pulling up next to you at a light or passing by you at full throttle on the highway. Geez. Great job on the build guys
I used a 996TT clutch in my Turbo built 964 motor. It started spinning at 585whp and had to detune to 555whp and it held perfect. 18psi was final outcome. This is going to be nassssty. Insane Dan!!!!
You can easily get 450+ bhp at 7000+ rpm from the 4.8 naturally aspirated...and it won't make much over 400 lb-ft and be flat as a billiard table...and super driveable
Try Spec, they can make a single disc with a sintered iron disc and stout press plate that will hold a ton. I was making over 800 wheel on my 965 and no problems.
Well now, pretty harsh comments from you there. Try asking yourself why would a person come on this sight and spout untrue information. How could that possibly be helpful to me or anyone else? Now, that being said, the car did weigh 3050lbs with me in it, so it was considered on the light
Also, the car was featured in an issue of “Total 911” magazine years ago. There’s also an old video of the car making a low boost pass on the street. UA-cam “Badass 911 Turbo”
If you truly want to enjoy driving that much power you will HAVE to get a twin or triple disk. Give Monster, Spec or RPS a call. With the exception of cost, a multi-disk is having your cake and eating it too. Stock manners and a clutch that will hold anything. I run a Monster twin and it's pretty fantastic just a bit on the heavy side. With more money I'd go RPS carbon all the way!
It may just be me but I don't think the LM7 sounds as good as other LS blocks. It sounds good at idle but part throttle and higher revs imo don't sound as good as other LSs. Either way congrats on your build. She should be fun once you sort her out.
Why oh why go with the iron block 5.3L when you could of gotten the L33 Aluminum 5.3L for the price difference of a clutch? Especially on a rear engine 911 which is already too tail heavy. Dont get me wrong I still dig the build just wondering why since you'll never be able to take that added weight off in other places without spending more then the price difference of LM7 vs L33
Well, it’s been a long time since I used them, perhaps their quality and performance has slipped. In the past they work well for me and hard Corp drag racing Porsche’s
I think you are using the wrong dyno , a roller dyno might make things easier. You have to get that power to the ground via the tires. That will be the big challenge . I am willing to bet on a roller you would see less clutch slip. Street tuneing it will be the best as the tires will be dead in 1k kms. Boost by gear and a TC system will be the only way to make it work to it's full potential. Rpm sensor's input and out put $$$$$ now or break parts and $$$$ later. Nothing he doesn't know but my 2 cents. The long skinny peddle and the loose nut behind the wheel will be the last week point in drive ability . More 2 cents week filming ,no back ground about the set up. Even just a breif up date about what was done, I watched the first video about this build ,last year, I don't remember much and I am not going to watch it again.
FUCK IT, no matter what the cost, you got the dream car, it's not a 6.0 the 5.3's are cute, but send it, spend it, just seeing your car on the road and hearing in is making people's day, maybe week.
You should get a hold of monster clutch! They make great clutches for gm based v8 motors and they them all the way up to 1500hp rated! They also build custom jobs for people in your shoes dan!! Look em up I believe it's monster clutch.com
So you took one of the deadliest cars ever built, and added 200+bhp, and more weight at the rear when it was already a pendulum waiting to kill you. Then its trying to pull wheelies and the only thing stopping it is a shit clutch which spins as abit of torque is added, and when the turbos are barely spinning up to speed. That car will need wheelie bars, a tonne of weight at the front, and a suicidal driver to even attempt a full power run on a drag strip, and it could be used as an execution device for death row inmates, you just give them the keys, and say, drive round this corner...
Not really, they were so bad in the late 70's early 80's that porche had to run a training course to teach people how to drive them safely and not kill themselves. They have been improved alot since, but that type was always a crash waiting to happen.
porsche has always offered driver's education classes and still does today. certainly learning about lift throttle oversteer is/was important but, calling the car deadly is obtuse. in the 70s and 80s, porsche was racing the 934 and 935 with 550hp and 800+hp and dominating races.
Those were professional drivers, where as ordinary drivers just couldn't drive them. They were a joke back then, with the stockbrokers of the early to mid 80's with so many buying them and ending up in ditches.
Hey bud, you should do a bit of research before spouting off in the comments. This motor is not much heavier than stock. They already assessed it in a previous video. AFAIK its basically the weight of turbos that is the difference (porsche flat 6s were sitting around 490 pounds while an lm7 is around 510 - it took me like 2 minutes on google) . Anyhooooo 50-75 pounds more weight over the rear wheels isn't going to cause wheelies unless the dude is running slicks and VHT at the track. And when he goes aluminum block it will be about the same weight. Keep on hating though!
I feel ya with the clutch problems! I am having the exact same problem with my bug! So I'm going to end up having a dual clutch instead of a single clutch so its streetable still. check out RLR Ron Lumus Racing. He has a clutch thats called the Rev9 built for VW so maybe it will work with your trans. @lucithebug my instagram
Boxer , inline , V8 , V6 ,V10 , V12 , W16 The Right engine for the car is what ever one works best for you . This whole , that's the wrong engine idea is bullshit . Just like the ass hats that don't realize that a V6 Camaro with a 5 speed will out run an old Camaro with a 350 and a 3 speed auto . Who's to say that the war criminal , who designed the cars in the first place didn't use the wrong engine . Every front wheel drive ever built is wrong , so go make stupid posts on Honda videos .
I dont understand how you guys dont have at least 500k subs
they dont click bait thumbnails and video titles
Same, absolute quality content.
Because they don't put out daily uploads and the algorithm hates them
I just subbed after my first video. LOVE the technical explanations
"Talk shit and I won't do it" 😂😂
This might be the best sounding smallblock I've ever heard.
Fredrik Hjellnes and the ass on her, cars a fucking supermodel.
Someone get Cleatus on the phone and get that man a clutch.
*Cleetus

We'll go for a cruise once the weather turns. Figure we could make quite an impression together
I am definitely up for it. I will have to get Brandon in the White RWB Toronto out with us as well.
That would be nuts
I probs wouldve gone aluminium block. I reckon hanging an iron block with turbos off the rear will screw with the handling. Sick car though.
HEKTIC458 he explained in a video that this setup isn't much heavier than the original setup
The original setup had alot less power, and is one of the deadliest cars ever built. That things a death trap.
It’s a temp motor to try and shake down the setup before he puts a proper all aluminum motor into it
The aluminum over rated.. and the price is to much. The iron block is stronger..
How will you put the tire down? That thing is nuts :) 20% throttle lol
This is a whole bunch of awesome.

SPEC is junk..

The video is 9:44 long. The Porsche 944 is my favorite car. #illuminati
I wonder if the clutch has been fully bedded in yet.
Dammm lets get a update on this monster!
Would love to see this after it gets detailed. a 50/50 would look nuts on it.
Such a cool car, congrats!
Amazing build guys, shame about the clutch but good results and will be a good street car.
How much Boost are you going to run? I'd imagine 950hp+ at the flywheel. At 20psi over 1k.
Why oh why go with the iron block 5.3L when you could of gotten the L33 Aluminum 5.3L for the price difference of a clutch? Especially on a rear engine 911 which is already too tail heavy. Nice!! It's a beast!!
Where do they get the Alupanel? I've had the hardest time finding it here in Canada! 3:15
Send it to McLeod clutch and see if they can build you one, 2 or 3 disk clutch.
Well, it’s been a long time since I used them, perhaps their quality and performance has slipped. In the past they work well for me and hard Corp drag racing Porsche’s

Sucks that the clutch isn't able to hold the power.
Crazy car!
so how much horsepower does it put out?
YEEEEEEEEEWWWWW! What a monster!
Love the sound!!!!!! Music.
This is a widowmaker. The stock Turbo of this generation was deadly with 230hp...
Does the clutch need to go through a break in period before the surface disk and flywheel are mated? Good shit, boys! Cheers from Idaho
FUCK IT, no matter what the cost, you got the dream car, it's not a 6.0 the 5.3's are cute, but send it, spend it, just seeing your car on the road and hearing in is making people's day, maybe week.
Mantic clutch should be able to get you taken care of.
You should get a hold of monster clutch! They make great clutches for gm based v8 motors and they them all the way up to 1500hp rated! They also build custom jobs for people in your shoes dan!! Look em up I believe it's monster clutch.com
Come on man a 5.3 with turbos and getting a clutch for 400lbs rookie move. Hope you get it sorted.
I could use one of these, with a working trans
Love it !
What a beautiful death trap. I'd gladly meet my maker with this beauty. Talk about a widow maker.
I was thinking exactly same, those cars were deadly as standard, not including a shitload more power, and more weight at the read end.
Call me dumb but to me it still sounds Porsche ish. Great piece of work!
curious, what size turbine housings?
www.turboneticsinc.com/performance/products/turbochargers/tnx-series-turbochargers
TNX40/64
Dan Pye t3 or t4
40/64 is a T3 flanged turbo
monster clutch should be able to build it
Driving clips soon??!!!!!!
Sounds all wrong to me but hats off to making it work
Yup" always chasing the weakest link" & chasing hp" it goes hand & hand" $$$

Call up bully again. Now that you know what’s what, they might be able to set you up at a discount
Some things in life shouldn't mix. a flat 6 on a muscle car and much less... a v8 on a porsche.
Gotta get the leroy hookup and talk to Monster Clutches
Almost one Corvair...
so much work and put turbonetic on it :( why not BW or garrett
not made of mooney
Call monster clutches
My guess 807hp at the crank
yall needa ban phones on set or get in the habit of putting them in flight mode
You lost me at "Iron BLock"...
Monster clutch

Hello Mr. Hale.
I wonder how they got a signal in the bat cave?
I wonder if they can put it in airplane mode?
Widow maker. Nice car. Your wife ok with this? :P
Action clutches!!!!
Iron block make no sense. Snap over steer any one.
Rambito iron block is not that heavier....

What a boring build... should've gone electric with a front engine generator.
Just came here to thumbs-down this garbage.
Don't be a bitch
Found the Porsche elitist
If it would atleast be a boxer engine, but this is just wrong for so many reasons
I agree, kinda silly imo, but then again it's his car and money so fuck it
