The only reason why harry sometimes seems to have feelings for mal (not in the third movie tho, but the second one. He did good in Descendants 3 by not showing much interest for mal, except when he asked if she was taken) is because the actors of their characters (Dove and Thomas) are dating and are the cutest relationship irl.

This an Interesting Masterpiece for My All Time Favorite Ship in Descendants. Mal has so much better chemistry with Harry than with Ben. Harry and Mal have much more chemistry in that one scene where they met again in the second movie than in any Mal/Ben scenes. And their whole dynamic in general is just a hundred times more interesting too.
Ben is just so.. useless, you know ? I mean sure, he’s a nice guy I guess, and he isn’t extremely bad looking too, but his personality isn’t that interesting and his role in the movies is pretty useless. The fact that his relationship with Mal also started because he ate these magic cookies is a big NO for me.
