Hey buddy looks like a fun ride sure glade winter is over starting to get back into projects got a few of my mini cleaned up and running been plugging away at them
Absolutely! I think I'm gonna go ride right now. 🤘
I just rode it for a few hours in really rough conditions. It did awesome. 🤘 Can't wait to upload some riding vids on this thing. It's SUPER fun.
@@bwxmoto I'm looking at them myself love my mini and the hurricane is a fun bike but I want something the eats the trail up without breaking the bank
Man that is too cool. Caint wait to see more.
Thanks! I agree, it's a cool little bike. Gonna go do a shakedown run with helmet cam and see what's up right now. ✌
You'll like the next vid 😉
@@bwxmoto Now I'm excited. Lol. Im ready to see what it does. I have been looking for a new vid on it but I understand the winter part.
@@rustyshackelford9414 Yeah it was a mess out there even now at times. But the little thing didn’t quit. 😎
@@bwxmoto i just ran across your video tm29 125cc. If you don't mind how much did you pay for it all together. I mean shipping included? Great 👍 video. I like seeing the bike with out the plastic because i can see the frame and hole bike better. JWHITE 426.
I'm very interested to see how this project comes out!!! You will like riding off road
Hey man how’s it going? Yeah this is a great little bike. Just rode it for a few hours in the woods and fields and some trails. It’s a riot, but kind of sketchy! I ride my minis a lot off road but this is a whole different kind if riding.
Heyo. Just bought this same bike but in blue. Your vids on this have been super useful. Thanks. Let me know if you do ever find stiffer springs... I thought the screw on top was compression for the forks but its just a vent i guess. So basically the only part of the suspension that adjusts is the shock's preload, correct? Will need to get a spanner next
Thanks! Yep that’s right, just a vent.. I lost a bunch of weight- down to 160 lbs and it’s not bad. Thinking about putting a spacer on top of springs in fork. Shock not bad cranked down half way. Actually forks not too bad but stiffer springs would be good. I’m sure there’s drop-in springs but have not researched it much yet.
Elon looks to be having fun on your Chinese bike!
😂
Where can you get parts like plastics? What other plastics fit?
I haven't looked into that yet but I am sure they have them on ali express. Looks like the X-Pro X-6 and Zuma 125 cc bikes which I guess is the company that makes this bike. Some other bikes look like they use these plastics. Not sure if trailmaster or dealers will sell them or not.
@@bwxmoto Thank you.
Hey man if you buy a trail master 250 and do a build videos looking to buy one
Trailmaster should definitely send me one! Haha.. 😆 I may get a bigger dirt bike though, and it might be a trailmaster. So I may actually get that bike you're talking about. I may just get a Japanese bike though too. I'll have to see what's out there. I need to sell some bikes first though, I have 5 minibikes and 3 motorcycles and not enough space for them. Hard to sell them though.
What carb would you recommend for it
I'm still running stock carb and it's doing just fine. I bought a VM22 round slide 24mm to try, and a PWK 26mm flat slide to try (both clones, not real). But it runs pretty good stock honestly. I'll try the VM22 round slide first and see what happens. I think they did a pretty good job on the stock carb tune and everything. It's probably a little lean on the top end and a little rich at idle if anything, stock.
I'll definitely make a vid showing how it runs after the carb upgrade.
do you figure this has a wet clutch or dry? I ran some break - in oil but now thinking that might have been a big mistake if wet
I assumed it was a wet clutch but I used the oil it came with as “break in” oil for two short, very easy going heat cycles and I did ride it around and use clutch but very gently. But that might have been dumb too.
Then I used some standard, non synthetic motorcycle oil made for wet clutches and it has been great.
My next oil change, I’ll use full synthetic oil made for wet clutches like I do in my bigger bikes.
Yeah I imagine actually break-in oil on a wet clutch would be bad. I wonder if they make specific break-in oil for wet clutches. I think you’re supposed to use regular non-synthetic wet clutch type oil for break-in.
You’re lubing the transmission too and I don’t think you want regular break-in oil in there.
I’ll have to check to make sure but I think it’s a wet clutch. It sounds and feels like it is anyways.
I’m sure changing out clutch pads is pretty simple on this thing, I wouldn’t worry too much about it unless it’s not working. But I’d be changing oil frequently, trying to get all that stuff out completely.
