Hugh Jackman was always a good choice for Wolverine in my mind and just got more Wolverine as time went on. I dunno about anyone else, but I was unprepared and kinda shocked at how young and unbuff Jackman actually was in that shot from his earliest outings. He was almost downright flabby in that shot. Turns out the simple secret to a healthy, buff bod is playing the role of the angriest, yet most relatable superhero in the Marvelverse for a mere 18 years…sign me up bub.
>*"a healthy, buff bod"* ... is not what he had. He got the ripped look the same way wrestlers and MMA fighters fake their weight, by severe dehydration. For the earlier movies it was at least 24hrs without drinking water, by the time he hit Logan he was up to 3 days. That's borderline lethal territory. Henry Cavill does the same thing for The Witcher which, again, is very unhealthy. Putting on the mass for those muscles is a bit more of a grey area, but short version it's a lot more protein than the average person is consuming and has been linked to heart disease. It's kind of funny. A healthy and fit person looks nothing like what you see on TV or in cinema.
But still he's very tall for the role but fits it either way probably the biggest change to a comic book character that pple rlly don't mind when u look at it lol

Some things you missed: He's Peter Parker's uncle on his father's side, and was actually there when Pete was born, congratulating his father. Deadpool's healing factor _is_ Wolverine's as well. He had a tryst with Squirrelgirl when she was around 18. He animalistic side prevents him from committing suicide and has forced him to survive several times when he wanted to die. On his power letting him forget, it was better described on "how to kill Deadpool." His healing factor can repair his brain, but not necessarily regenerate the nerve patterns which encode memories. So, every serious head injury that would liquify the brain, he heals but would have it affect his memory.
I always thought of Spider-Man and Hulk as most popular until RDJ started playing iron man. I feel like spidey and iron man are the most popular now. Idk I guess it depends who sells the most toys
That he did, my friend. Just the same way as Robert Downey Jr. IS Ironman, Hugh Jackman IS The Wolverine. No one else will be able to portray the beast the way Jackman did for quite a long time to come. We saw that raging beast for the last time in the climax scenes of "Logan", and his final line was no less a classic than Tony Starks' in Endgame .. Logan: So that's what it feels like ..
That was a lot of the problem, it was not the "Xmen". It was the Wolverine series. I hated the way Fox handled the movies. I just can't understand the reasoning behind buying the rights to an established series like that, then just ignoring the vast majority of the source material. Like First Class or whatever ..... that was NOT the original team of Xmen. The destroyed the comic story and cut out a huge story arc that would have been great to see ... The Morlocks. Of course they would have had to use Angel which they did not seem to like to do. Seeing Angel lose his wings in the comics gave a much deeper understanding of why he accepted the offer from Apocalypse.
1:57 If you ever looked closely at the way Xavier and Magneto play chess they play the same way they lead. Magneto sacrifices his pawns while Xavier protects his pawns.
Wolverine has always been one of my favorite Marvel characters since I was little he always was the outcast a person who struggled with personal issues and was very loyal
I recall Wolverine going through pain every time he used his claws, it even would vary when and how fast he would heal. One point in an Alpha Flight issue, he was going through the hardest time using his claws because he wasn't healing as well at that time.
for sure. With some of these characters that have been around for decades and decades, there's SO MUCH comic book lore. Sometimes to keep things fresh, they vary or re-invent their powers all together.
In Logan the fact that he was losing his healing abilities was not connected with being poiaoned by his skeleton. The main plot why mutant were gone was causing him to lose his powers, as he also ate and drank a lot of corn syroup which was geneticly modified to suppress Gene X
So if just a drop of blood can remake him entirely, I have one big question, wouldn't that make him reborn as he was before the weapon x modifications? I mean the Adamantium was added to his bones during the weaponizing process, it is not a part of him naturally, so how could he regrow the metal not to mention it's not organic, it would just be his bones. So technically he would be himself before the weapon x program gave him the remarkable metal. Seems like a big thing to overlook.
In the one comic that he was regenerated from a drop of blood the drop was on top of the Adamantium skeleton. I would say if the blood was not near the skeleton, then yeah pre skeleton augments unless his healing factor can regenerate the adamantium which I don't think it can since that is what is actually killing him.
@@DANTHETUBEMAN in the comic he was only able to regenerate from a drop of blood from energy provided by either the shi'ar crystal or else Roma who had for some reason taken an interest in the x-men in general. without external power sources he could not do it.
The craziest thing about wolverine to me is that he's actually the lowest class of mutant, but is still strong enough to stand up to a ton of much stronger mutants.
@@TemplarX2 What he said is a fact in the Marvel comics not just an opinion. He has an insane healing factor & super senses that’s it when it comes to his “mutant” abilities.. everything else was due to an experiment
The MCU needs to highlight Wolverine's martial arts background. That is pretty much the only thing I felt was missing from the great Hugh Jackman's performance.

@@jeffmayo6002 Gunpowder is gunpowder, no matter what the slug is made of. The adamantium didn't make the gunpowder more powerful. Wolverine got shot in the forehead many times in the X-Men movies, with no brain scrambling. You don't owe the Origin writers the mental gymnastics it takes to make them appear unstupid.
3:20 he said Wolverine forgot his whole name. The official story should have been that: Logan forgot it, because his original brain was melted in getting Adamantium injection. That’d answer the question if he could heal from total brain loss. The Adamantium would have been molten for a while, inhibiting the brains cortex. After a long while, his healing power wouldn’t retain the thoughts of those brain cells. Prof X would only get so far He’d need Dr Stranges ability to look into a soul. That would clear everything up completely. Till then, he’s just a lost soul, no matter what he does.
One of my favorite comic book arcs is Wolverine #100 where Genesis tried to put adamantium back into Wolverine (Magneto ripped it out) to make him a horseman of Apocalypse. Because of the intense pain, he rejected the adamantium and entered an unstoppable rage, killing Genesis and the Dark Riders showing just how powerful he can become when he doesn't control his rage.
When I first got into wolverine, with the graphic novel series back in the late 80's, I always thought that if there was a movie ever made about wolverine, Clint Eastwood would've been the perfect choice , because if you look at how his character is, and how he's drawn in the comics there is definitively a resemblance to the young eastwood. But at that time and for years before, wolverine was popular but not like how it eventually took off years later. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that the creators of wolverine modeled him off clint eastwood.
I've loved every movie with wolverine. I would like to see a heck of a lot more, and if they find another replacement, he better be able to play the hell out of it like Hugh did lol. Keep me in the loop of potentials though
That's the movie version. Comic origins had the bone-claws as a hereditary nature of the Howlett family; probably related to how they got the name Howlett in the first place... James' healing factor might be unique to him though, seeing how his father was killed and his grandfather died of old age, with no indication of having lived extremely long.
its abit of a plothole because his healing factor keeps his cells young meaning aslong as it works he is kind of inmortal to aging but in the canon he technicly grows old very slowly.
My favorite part of wolverine is even if you get past Professor X's defenses you still have to worry about every single wolverine that was locked away in wolverines mind. Like when demons took over his body and were fighting his mind for control. They weren't expecting a version of him who thought he was Jean. Aka the Phoenix
Wolverine is one bad dude, kinda miss seeing him in movies already, luckily I can see him in comics still, glad you made this video cause not many people really know how many abilities he really does have, I think the movies tend to make him more human-like, in actuality he’s a lot tougher and can’t be taken down so easily
What I didn't really like about the movies is they dumbed him down. One of the big appeals to Wolverine, at least for me, was the fact of how intelligent and formidable he really is. He's been around a long time and he knows quite a lot from covert operations, to languages, hacking, strategies, fighting styles and so much more. He's a pilot for god's sake and they make him out to be a nauseous person on flights in the jet. Love Hugh playing him, but really, really wish the writers would've gone way more above and beyond to capture what makes the character so great.
I just want to point out 2 things: 1: with the weightlifting/strength building call-out, you could have mentioned him lugging around ~130lbs of adamantium; dude is never not working out! 2: Number 8's point. Wolvie has both been reduced to just a head, and had everything but his bones (and brain I think) burnt away, and recovered from both.
To point #4 and talking about how his healing factor eliminates the "curses" of being a Vampire or Werewolf because it replaces his damaged cell's the same thing would happen with his body being "poisoned" by the adamantium. It would have to poison him at a rate so high that the healing factor couldn't repair/replace his damaged cells quick enough to negate the poisoning, in which case he'd never have survived for as long has he did after the initial procedure was done.
as a 40yr fan i kinda preferred it when we still had no idea about the exact details of his origin.. i also remember when his claws were drawn to spring out his wrists & not his hands & of course they were believed to be solid metal..also when it comes to the movies they haven't used his heightened senses ability enuff. & Jackman looks the part (except way too tall) but has never quite nailed my favorite character.
Totally agree with everything you said also 40 and remember those days too and Hugh Jackman did say that he had no idea who or how to play wolverine so there's that
Yeah, I am also a decades long fan of Wolverine, mutants, etc. and found it quite lame how Fox changed the claws to come out between his fingers. I am hoping when Marvel brings out Wolverine that they put Logan's claws back to how they have always been in the comic books, along with the original origins of all of their mutants being used too. Not the overly used rebooted versions of their characters.
I believe the claws are STORED in his forearms - but extend out through his hands. In fact, if I remember right, in age of apocalypse he got his hand blown off but still had the claws in his forearm
Yup originally, the design was to have the claws housed in the gloves he wore. But got messed up or improved along with his mask design as artists changed.
He was dead. It was only till kitty removed him and removed the adamantium from his brain, that he started to heal. They explain it in finding Wolverine and Wolverine lives
Most humans shrug off covid-19 as though it were nothing. One doesn't need to have the healing abilities of wolverine for covid-19; a strong immune system of a fit human being will do.
"He was born in the 80s....that is the 1880s!" and then immediately shows a clip of him fighting in the American Civil War as an adult which took place the 1860s. Real good stuff guys.
He feels pain, he's said multiple times it hurts when the claws come out. N comparison to being blown up etc, it's not as bad on his scale as it would b on ours
I like to think with that line, "does it hurt? When they come out?" He says "Everytime." I feel like he means that he does the hurting when they come out.
@@KootenaiKing no he's clearly talking about the pain he feels everytime he pops his claws. It would only last for a second and automatically heal as soon as they come out but the pain is still there everytime
I thought that in Logan they was putting stuff in the foods and drinks that cancels out the mutant gene being the reason why mutants no longer exist and Wolverine and Prof. X were deteriorating being the last of the original mutants. Also the mutant children where protected due to experimental needs which is why Laura (X23) was instantly hooked on the food and drink from the gas station when she first tried it.
In the comics, he loses his healing factor due to a virus from another universe and starts developing blood poisoning from popping his claws and the wound getting infected...what were the movies supposed to do with that?
anytime a character gets too powerful they put a stopgap like for spider-man it is his strong convictions he battled wolverine once and wolverine told him that the only way to stop him was to use all his strength and break his neck but we both know that you don't have it in you to kill

Look Up Weapon H. Pretty nuts. It's a different person than Logan or Banner, but it's a person with all of Hulks abilities with Wolverines adamantium skeleton and abilities and Nanites in his body.
I always loved reading the Wolverine Saga, it was a comic book with a hard bound spine unlike most comic books with their 2 or 3 staples. Two of my favorite conflicts were Wolverine vs Cyber & Wolverine vs Sabertooth, but I haven’t bought comic books since the 90’s
The science behind old man Logan. Having his bones completely covered in bone, and with bones being the only source of fresh new red and white blood cells. For Logan, he never received any new blood cells and with the metal graphs to his entire skeleton, any body including Wolverine's considers that a trauma or an injury. Therefore, his healing factor is constantly going, that doesn't include additional injuries. With both of these huge handicaps, his healing factor continues to try to keep him at "factory specs" and the lack of one critical biological function begins to wear on his physique, causing his healing factor to work harder and harder every time he gets injured. With 200 years of walking the earth, he didn't age at ALL since becoming a fully grown and mature. Then gets the adamantium in the late 70s-early 80s. Only about 50-70 years after that does Logan even begin showing signs of significant age. Ultimately, his death can be directly attributed to the adamantium, since his death was a result of far too much bodily injury (in Old Man Logan anyways).
His biology doesn't make sense at all. He would have to eat an insane amount of food nonstop to regenerate any damage he receives. Also, where do his claws retract? They are clearly longer than his palms.
If a single drop of Logan's blood can grow a new Wolverine, then if Wolverine lost a bunch of blood, would a horde of Wolverines grow from it? Seems like a plot hole to me.
There is something in the Marvel comic-verse that negates multiple versions. It goes for a lot of the Wolverine-level healers. Deadpool is one of the few that skewed this, but it took a heck of a long time and a lot of the random left behind parts.
my headcanon for this is that since souls are also a thing in comics, may be we can say that the lost blood wouldn't have a soul since the full body wolverine is still kicking around and wouldn't try to grow back
1832 is when he was born He was 197 in logan logan was set in 2029 So 2029-197=1832 His powers started at a young age unsure what age In many comics on other universes he lives longer And necessarily if he never got the adimantim in his body and didn't have to fight so many people Logan could live to be over 600

It wasn't actually the adamantium that was killing Logan. It was a chemical that was put in the corn. Being as Logan drank a lot, the chemical was inhibiting his healing ability. Also, wolverine was originally one of the founding members of the Canadian superhero group called Alpha flight. The comics back in the 1970's had several encounters between the X-Men and Alpha Flight because Alpha Flight wanted him back.
@@haljordan9607 It's mentioned in the movie Logan how they out something in the corn syrup (used in making whiskey, among other things) that robs mutants of their powers.
Wolverine didn't stay dead when he was buried in the end of Logan. Considering that he has an aggressive healing factor and that X-24 is actually an upgraded clone that's immune to the virus that's slowly killing off mutants all over the world, X-24's blood would had eventually upgrade Logan's healing factor. With X-24 being brain dead but technically the rest of his body's still alive, Logan has a good chance of surviving a head transplant if he got some assistance in placing his severed head into X-24's headless body. X-23 could had helped him do the head transplant. Anyway with Logan being exposed to X-23&X-24's blood like an HIV infection, wouldn't stay dead after he was buried. Also technically X-23 is a female clone of Wolverine too so her healing factor should be compatible if Logan was ever exposed to her blood.

There was a story line where he regenerated from a single cell in less than a minute. It's the one where they're hunting for a rogue mutant who wipes out a whole city after taking a power enhancing drug. This was probably peak regeneration, I believe they toned it down not long after.

I have always wondered how Wolverine is able to sleep since he regens instantly and constantly, how does he manage to force himself asleep. A real life Wolverine would probably go insane from his mind never being able to rest. Also if Wolverine actually tried lifting weights to bodybuild or increase strength he would be the largest and strongest human ever considering he heals instantly.
I remember a very subtle detail from the X-Men cartoon when the team travels to the Savage Land to stop Mr. Sinister. When the heroes all lose their powers, Wolverine tells the villains, "There's nothing mutant about these!" He pops his claws, and it visibly hurts him to do so.
Whilst Professor X did put certain Psychic protections in place, in Wolverines mind, it’s also known that his healing factor also makes it EXTREMELY difficult for even Omega level telepaths to read his mind, and that’s because his healing factor is constantly regenerating the cells in his brain. For example, in X Men #25, after Magneto ripped the Adamantium from his skeleton, it took the combined effort of Professor X and Jean Grey to keep his mind from registering the damage done to his body. So that shows the level of natural psychic protection in place, when it took 2 of the most powerful Omega level telepaths on Earth, and maybe the Universe, just to keep him alive…..
OMG so since he doesn't get tired imagine him in a 10 kilometre run. He will just sprint the whole time while others jog and take their time. OMG OMG OMG!!!
Originally, before they went a different way with the origin stories and it was unknown who/what Wolverine really was, the writers of Wolverine had his claws not be part of his body but an extension of his gloves. Originally they weren't long knives in his arms, they were telescoping tubes of adamantium that were just 1mm thick (since adamantium was so strong, they could still destroy things despite being so thin), that extended from his gloves. Wolverine was never seen with his claws without his gloves on back in the day, and everybody always wondered if they were really part of his body or not. This is why the oldest versions of Wolverine's claws didn't look like knife blades, but more tubular and ribbed (indicating the sections in their telescoping). Hell, it was years before Wolverine was even drawn without his mask. Later his claws were written to be part of his body, and not his gloves, because if anybody could wear the gloves he wouldn't be unique as a character. Wolverine was also originally kind of a "villain of the week" that just comes out of nowhere, is there for the Hulk to fight for a while, then be totally forgotten. Why a Wolverine? Because they're tiny short animals that are incredibly fierce, taking on animals many times their size. Later he became part of the X-men, but he was just kind of a filler extra character that was just there for the background, he was kind of comic relief and dumb. He'd get angry, charge the enemy, get beat up, and the reader would laugh. He was going to be written out of the books but then Canadian writer John Bryne felt a kinship with this Canadian character, didn't want to let one of these few Canuck characters disappear, so Bryne gave him much more purpose and depth. This was further elaborated and built upon by Chris Claremont. If Claremont has to keep this character that gets angry and rushes at the enemy like a fool, well dammit, Claremont was going to make damn sure to give this character purpose for doing so besides being comic relief. This is really when Wolverine took off as a character. His reasons for always rushing to fight became things like he was an angry killer with a horrible past, where he would constantly kill and fight. He wasn't a nice guy, he was a ticking time bomb. “He has to fight to control himself, but what would make him a hero in my vision of him was that he would be able to overcome his natural instincts to slit your throat. That was what really would make him a hero, not his abilities to beat you up. The fighting was what he lived for". The writers had to really push the envelope to justify this this character, an angry violent killer, into an honorable hero that people would look up to, while still keeping his blood thirst there. Such a balance of intense good and intense evil is probably what fascinates people to this character and made him such a fan favorite. He stopped being an angry idiot, and started being a viscous man who always had to hold his anger in check, but be honorable enough to stay with the X-men (a group meant to portray heroes). Then stories about his anger explaining his rage, how he was the loose cannon in the group always with a short fuse. The justification of claws being part of his body took his backstory places. What if he has a healing factor to allow him to survive popping his claws? What if he's really old? Lacing his bones with adamantium seems to have been inspired by the concept of "what if his bones didn't heal? How about we have his bones reinforced?" etc. There was also talk about Sabertooth being his father, but everybody had guessed that this was true back in the day, so there would be no twist. Thus Sabertooth was written to be his brother. The reason why he was called Weapon X (Weapon 10), was because he was the tenth attempt at recreating the super soldier, with Weapon I (Weapon 1) being Captain America. There's tons to talk about the character, but I think I'd better stop writing. Here's two links that go into detail about Wolverine secretsbehindthexmen.blogspot.com/2012/01/wolverines-secret-origin.html blog.gocollect.com/john-byrnes-best-wolverine/ Lastly here's a little tidbit about Wolverine's original name (Logan). He's the shortest Canadian character, and the twist is he was named after the tallest mountain in Canada, Mount Logan!
They forgot to mention his other metabolic problem: Wolverine eats a LOT. (Which begs the question of why there aren't Wolverine droppings every 2 blocks in New York.)
I feel as if he is one of the most tragic hero’s imagine being born sickly and poor in a time a judgement and pain getting powers at 12 killing his father then fighting world war 2 then getting and dealing with his animalistic and beastly urges then the weapon x programs

Adamantium it’s supposed to be completely indestructible. That would mean it would necessarily have to be inert , in other words it would not leak into the tissues or bloodstream. Conceivably one could have an allergic reaction in the tissues immediately lying next to the metal, but that would be it. On the other hand, it’s a comic book so why the hell am I expecting logic.
"Adamantium it’s supposed to be completely indestructible. That would mean it would necessarily have to be inert"... errrr, no it doesn't. Physical hardness and pliability of a material has nothing to do with its chemical reactivity. This is a non sequitur.

Wolverine can eat himself temporarily to sustain his healing factor. He does need to eat normal food tho in the long run because he cannot regen without the nutrients.

Turns out the simple secret to a healthy, buff bod is playing the role of the angriest, yet most relatable superhero in the Marvelverse for a mere 18 years…sign me up bub.
>*"a healthy, buff bod"*
... is not what he had.

Yeah, I remember that lol Logan for a bit turned into a large, feral beast thing. That was a great issue and arc.
The best there is at what he does. Indeed.
I always cast Mel Gibson in the role. late 80s early 90s Mel
I've loved every movie with wolverine. I would like to see a heck of a lot more, and if they find another replacement, he better be able to play the hell out of it like Hugh did lol. Keep me in the loop of potentials though

That's the movie version. Comic origins had the bone-claws as a hereditary nature of the Howlett family; probably related to how they got the name Howlett in the first place... its abit of a plothole because his healing factor keeps his cells young meaning aslong as it works he is kind of inmortal to aging but in the canon he technicly grows old very slowly.

Also, did Canadians fight in the Civil War?
wel in the movie he might have been born earlier because canon wize he is technicly born somewhere 1864
His DOB in the movie is 1832
Wolverine was born in 1832 and was the result of an affair between the grounds keeper and rich man's wife who lived in America.
I just want to point out 2 things:
1: with the weightlifting/strength building call-out, you could have mentioned him lugging around ~130lbs of adamantium; dude is never not working out!

You're talking about super heroes dude. It's all one big plot hole 😂

Here's two links that go into detail about Wolverine

Lastly here's a little tidbit about Wolverine's original name (Logan). He's the shortest Canadian character, and the twist is he was named after the tallest mountain in Canada, Mount Logan!
Loved that you used the footage of Wolverines last rampage as an example of his strength.
They forgot to mention his other metabolic problem: Wolverine eats a LOT. (Which begs the question of why there aren't Wolverine droppings every 2 blocks in New York.)
What if the droppings healed their self and became more wolverines
I feel as if he is one of the most tragic hero’s imagine being born sickly and poor in a time a judgement and pain getting powers at 12 killing his father then fighting world war 2 then getting and dealing with his animalistic and beastly urges then the weapon x programs
I really never even thought of Bob Hoskins as wolverine. He would have been surprisingly good for it. So much rage! Lol
Did anyone know that Captian America also has a healing factor to his healing factor isn’t as fast as wolverines but cap can heal a hella lot faster than a normal human
I would like to see Hugh Jackman back as The Wolverine, that would be Awesome.
For the hell of it, I want a comedy where Danny DeVito is Wolverine.
wolverine does feel pain when his claws comes out...source: x men 1
every time.
So your telling me if I shot an Avada Kedavra At This Guy He’d Be Dead For A Second But Then He Would Just Revive Himself?
Most likely
Prolly
Yep
@@djangotierney7420 actually deadpools different
He was cursed so he can't die he could always be incernerated and come back
Yes
7:39 tell that to the movie writers they never show that
nobody gonna talk about the "yeah science!" breaking bad reference? 8:15
Ripped in half? So are we going to ignore him coming back from being at ground zero of a nuclear explosion?
He was miles away from ground zero and in a 50 foot hole in the ground.
@@1voiceofstl no that's part of the Civil War arc. Wolverine caught nitro and blew up. Literally
Wasn't that when he had Alien DNA introduced to him, or something like that? Literally came back from a few cells.
@@kevinpissoff5272 I don't remember him having alien DNA introduced then. I will double check but he did come back from mere cells
@@larrywilliams6116 I think I was mistaken. I think I got confused with when he regenerated from that crystal, which this video actually touches up on. You're good
Actually the "Logan" who killed James Howletts "father" was really his daddy the whole time he only found out when he stabbed him wit bone the claws
Yeah... I remember that (kinda...)... He was like their gardener or a ranch hand or something, & the guy's other son, I think they called him "dog"...🤔
@@DjDragonblade yup "Dog" is Sabertooth
Still think that's bs. I know it's what the movie told us, but... That lady's husband was the spitting image of Hugh Jackman, and the gardener was the spitting image of sabertooth.
Me and wolverine are very similar regarding our mutant abilities. My mutation meant that I had titanium alloy throughout my spine fitted.
Having metal rods in my back due to scoliosis admittedly doesn’t sound as cool.
Don't sleep on Hoskins, he has the chops to pull it off... that being said, I would've loved for Tom Hardy to take a crack at it. I think he would be an awesome Wolverine! 🤘🏼
John burthenal all the way bro
Adamantium it’s supposed to be completely indestructible. That would mean it would necessarily have to be inert , in other words it would not leak into the tissues or bloodstream. Conceivably one could have an allergic reaction in the tissues immediately lying next to the metal, but that would be it.
On the other hand, it’s a comic book so why the hell am I expecting logic.
Good point..
"Adamantium it’s supposed to be completely indestructible. That would mean it would necessarily have to be inert"... errrr, no it doesn't. Physical hardness and pliability of a material has nothing to do with its chemical reactivity. This is a non sequitur.
you even got his animal senses and berzerker rage, thumbs up!
The family friend he killed was actually his real father whose name was logan.
James Howlet does sound cool actually.
Yea but imagine if Logan was called "James" instead
Sabertooth: "Jimmy"
I loved it and think James Howlett is actually a strong mature name! Logan is strong but a unisex name so I prefer James. Imagine him saying: "Heeerrrreeee'sss Jimmy!!!" with adamantium claws shooting out of his hands...
@@riderwelch7588 My Uncle thinks it is was also his father's name.
Looks slot like Old Man Logan, height (5'5) and build apart from the waist.
He doesn't have a healing factor, so unfortunately the beers have caught up.
NOBODY but Jackman could have played Wolverine. Nobody else could be so gentle a person and portray such a savage killing machine.
Logan was born in 1832
1882*
@@JimHowlett-yp5pm No if you have watched the movie wolverine origins logan was a kid in 1845
JimHowlett 1804 that and he couldn’t have been in The US Civil War in the 1860s
@@sirslickrock why?
Girish Margam the Civil war would have been 20 years before he was born...
Now imagine this. Deadpool brings Wolverine back to life by giving Wolverine Deadpools powers to regrow everything and anything and the healing process as well. Meaning tat Wolverine would be able to come back to life and be able to be himself again just with more healing powers and regrowth power as well making him none kill able anymore. So that means the poison that killed Wolverine would be no more because how stronger his healing process is and how fast everything can regrow.
You know Deadpool has Wolverines healing factor right? Deadpool literally had Wolverines mutation injected in him. Plus even in the comics Wolverines had to deal with the adamantium poisoning. It's only because his healing factor that it took almost 100 years.
When you talked about Wolverine's berserker rage you should have shown what he did to the Hellfire Club soldiers when the fired on him Logan's eyes went red and when he came too he was sitting on top of a pile of dead Hellfire soldiers.
Yes, he has all kinds of skills which makes it even more disappointing that Fox's portrayal of him was that of an unskilled meatshield. Don't get me wrong, Jackman did a great job playing him but think of how much better it would have been if Fox had not limited him to being one dimensional.
HELLO, the 1800's date and being related to sabortooth was when his mind was being ALTERED, TWISTED!! So what is the real date of how old WOLVERINE is referred in one comic as being not born in the 1800's but much, much older!! For when Apocalypse first met the X-Men he recognized wolverine by another name from back in the days of Apocalypse own youth!! Of course without the metal claws but having bone claws and super fast healing but wanting to stay quiet about his abilities and not wanting to fight!!??
Not sure, friend. All I know is Wolverine is a few hundred years old. Not thousands of years old.
BRO! I want a link, a comic name, something! I've also wanted to see comics were sabertooth is linked to a Colosseum gladiator or something like that from the time of Romulus!
There is a novel about Wolverine before/during/after Weapon X that describes him as "Warrior Born" ; he is THE apex predator of planet Earth who has always been here.
...imagine "Deep Blue Sea" enhancing the Great White and you get an idea of what the Weapon X program created when they upgraded him.
Finally someone said something about where rogue got like half her powers. Thank you. Can't wait to see rogue wrap her hands around Carol Danvers throat.
Wolverine can eat himself temporarily to sustain his healing factor. He does need to eat normal food tho in the long run because he cannot regen without the nutrients.
Wouldn't this turn him (temporarily as we have seen how curses stick with him) into a wendigo? I believe those creatures are cannon to marvel....
Tom Cruise would've stunk as Wolverine. But I can see Bob Hoskins working.
Tom Cruise was a good choice in one respect: the original comic book Wolverine was 5' 3" tall.
Tom Cruise was never a choise, the other actor working with him in MI2 was.
dude Matt Hardy would be a better choice than that wackjob called tom cruise
Wolverine actually killed all of them in the comics.. that’s how powerful and skilled he is
