    OMG!!!! Jeff, good deeds sometimes are rewarded. Late last night my wife and I went to Wal Mart for baking supplies to make cupcakes for our son's restaurant Valentine's day dinner tonight. While she was getting the supplies, I was toodling around and I always check the clearance aisle. Ever since you posted this video and the Keeter one and the updated Sam's club price. I've been looking for one. I found a Keeter at our Wal Mart for $49 clearance and I talked to a manager and he couldn't lower the price yet, that was 2 days ago and it was not where I saw it a few days before. We both thought it was sold. They moved it to make room for mowers. I found it on another aisle and it was marked down again for $30 that's 9 cents from the Sam's club price and the nearest Sam's Club is 40 miles away. I'm Blessed !!! Thanks be to God 🙏🙏 and I Thank You for sharing your thoughts and videos, especially like the walk around videos, Ridney

    This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!

    I have a set of the Dewalt trigger clamps. As you stated the clamp is prevented from sliding off the bar. However, using a grinder or a steel file you can grind off the stop on the bar. FYI, Dewalt does sell a more expensive clamp that has a button to remove one clamp end.

    I've got this workbench, and when it's on sale, I'm going to buy another. It's just too easy and fast to set up, and it's substantial. You're right, it takes about one second tops. I also have the white table you show at around 6:30, and while it has its uses, I usually just need a temporary working surface, and I don't want to take all day and half the night to set it up. Anyway, thanks for the video, and thanks for throwing the workbench off the roof. Now I know I can do that with confidence. lol

    That DeWalt work table is pretty sweet. I like the fact that it has a carry handle and locks shut for ease of transport. I don't have this work table but would def check it out. I do have the Worx Pegasus work table which is a bit cumbersome to tote around since it doesn't lock shut nor does it have a carry handle like the DeWalt. I will say that one thing I do like about the Worx is you can attach more Worx tables to it expanding it's size two or more times. The Worx also come with two speed clamps and 4 plastic dogs built right into it along with a lower shelf for additional storage. I don't know much about the Keter work table but they all look well constructed. Thanks for sharing your review. Cheers!

    Great video On the Dewalt table Jeff. I especially enjoyed the one on the Keter table. I’ve shared it with a few people who didn’t know about your channel. I have one question. Would the Dewalt and Keter tables function well as a stand for the Dewalt series jobsite table saws?

    • @jeffostroff
      @jeffostroff  4 роки тому +3

      Yes, I think they would both work well, they are stable. The table saw looks like it would fit no problem. In fact, I'm looking to replace my large Ridgid Rolling table saw with a flex volt DeWalt saw if I can get one small enough, and would use either the Keter or DeWalt able to set it on. Just check the dimensions of the table saw against the top of the work benches to make sure it won't overhang. Might even be a good idea to clamp it to the table top some how.

    I've just purchased two of these for the $69 sale at HD. Do most bench dogs & hold fasts be used with this bench? I believe I do have clamps where you can separate the jaws for easier positioning in the holes of the table, but I think I have to go through the trouble of unscrewing a screw each time I want to set them up in the table unless I leave a few in the wholes all the time. Maybe they have other clamps out there where you just push a button to remove the two jaws?

I am not gonna give a whole life story in a public comment forum like this but i assure you if you heard my story you’d sympathize. While watching today i was literally so jealous of your miter saw despite its age, then when i realized it was so old you dont use it any more and u upgraded it had me thinking...... Jeff i know your a nice guy and i know your a generous guy! Ive tried all your giveaways and all the giveaways online, ive never had a real miter saw, i pay my neighbor $20 a day when i need to borrow one from his conpany. As a result i find I hesitate before taking on a project or charity because of the expense. If you would be interested in giving charity and doing a great act of kindness i would be thrilled to have a Dewalt miter saw!!! I dont care if i have to do ten handyman jobs to pay off the shipping costs on that dream saw! I am only 18 years old and if i dont start taking action i will always be in this terrible struggling place!! I hope you take this message into serious consideration and dont think im just some kid trying to give you a run for your money. Im totally serious and i hope you are to. Plz contact me regardless of your decision on the old tools i will always be a huge fan and support you however i can! Plz reach out my email is brachifeder@gmail.com. Sure feels like you are deliberately whining for no reason. Our videos are always detailed, including drop testing that other channels don't show so they take longer. Beside there is no "target" time like you think, UA-cam puts in video ads on any video longer than 8 minutes. I think that's what you're insinuating. If you want a 7 minute video I'm sure you might find one, but not with the amount of details on our videos. Did you forget how to use the jump ahead slider? You can watch any video in a few minutes.

  • @SylwesterKogowski
    @SylwesterKogowski 4 роки тому

    Not entirely honest there, are you?
    What's with this hole that you made in this table, why didn't you tell about it?
    Also, this clamping ain't as good as you are saying, the bottom side of that table is full of holes, so you can't just clamp wherever you want, and you can't clamp too much or it will bend the structural support of the table top.

    • @jeffostroff
      @jeffostroff  4 роки тому

      What hole are you talking about? Also, we often use wood blocks on the bottom of tables to provide a more flat area for clamping. If you're smart, even without the blocks, you put the clamp head so that it coincides with an intersection of 2 lines on the bottom, so it has something to clamp against.

    • @SylwesterKogowski
      @SylwesterKogowski 4 роки тому

      The hole is clearly visible at 10:12 just after your test with sitting on the table.
      What's the story behind this hole?

    • @SylwesterKogowski
      @SylwesterKogowski 4 роки тому

      Well, you didn't say about wooden blocks during the video. Anyway, I have a similar table, it's not bad, but let's not pretend that it can replace a proper woodworking table.
      One needs to be very delicate with those tables.

      @@SylwesterKogowski OK THAT hole, was caused by me when I was furious that things kept not working right with the camera, with the background noise, the geese flying overhead, the planes overhead, noisy motorcycles driving by, UPS drivers back and forth, garbage trucks, could not progress in in production, then it started to rain, and I took my hammer and slammed it down on the top of the table, LOL. That caused the hole, had nothing to do with our testing of the table. Probably should have mentioned it.
