Sometimes Rory is like the only reasonable person babysitting all the crazy people around him, while Amy, the Doctor and River are like, "w00t, adventure, lets run straight toward the dangerous exploding stuff!" XD

Rory is a nurse. It's 2nd nature for him to take care of the kids on their adventure
I can imagine the doctor saying something like "I'm over 900 years old-" to be cut of by Rory going "I'm over 2,000 years old."
Then just a really awkward silence interrupted by Amy laughing at them.
After capaldi the doctor is over 4.5billion years old

I can imagine Amy actually saying "wait, you're 2000 years old?" and Rory looking at her, explaining that he stood guard by the Pandorica to protect her and she goes "oh yeah... that"... :D

Rory's dad was the best. It's a shame they left out the scene where he would have learned Amy and Rory's fate.

These three are complicated as hell, River Song/Melody Pond is older than her parents (and is essentially a living paradox), and Rory's age is confusing (lived for 2000 years in an alternative reality which now near existed)

My favorite part of this video is how even though there's plenty of room on the bench Alex Kingston is still content to just stand awkwardly in the background. It's like she needs her parents permission or something.

those were the best years of the Dr Who franchise . Steven Moffat was a total genius when he wrote this story evolving arround all the main characters . Takes a lot of creativity to make a two year long storyline add up at every corner .
Alex got the best end of the deal. She got to work with Tennant, Smith, Davies and Moffat. What an experience.

I love the Pond family precisely because they're messed up. It's an important lesson for kids - it doesn't matter how weird or strange your family is, as long as they love you and each other.

Actually, it's worse than "Rory is older than the Doctor". Rory "somehow" managed to have a body made of plastic at that time, but then the whole thing was reset, the whole Universe! However, he keeps the memory of it all, including the... well... reboot... stuff...
Surprisingly, nobody seems to care much about it at the show (not up to season 06, which I just finished seeing, so remember: no spoilers! :). Really, let's face it: to be once made of plastic, to be locked inside a box for almost 2000 years without a single cup of tea (kidding), then see the Universe being rewritten so you can turn back to flesh and bones, and all of that being a "simple human"?!... It would really put everything into quite the perspective, I believe. It astonishes me Rory won't become something alike the Face of Boe, hehe...
Alex is the oldest one there but here it's like she's an awkward and shy teenager just standing at the back of the bench😂

This video is cute. I think it is the biggest missed opportunity of the Pond era, is that we DIDNT get to see much of how these 3 took their second chance at being a family.....character development sacrificed on the alter of timey-wimey plots, I guess.

Uncle Yo Nah, he's still like 2000. In Heaven Sent it's basically the same thing repeated over and over again, him basically resetting over and over again, but time passing. It's hard to explain, I hope you get my meaning.

i think being the Girl Who Waited is bloody incredible. it's not big and dramatic like others in terms of name, but waiting is one of the hardest things to do. to wait on a fantasy, a miracle man despite what others might say. to do so with a mortal life with patience and trust despite amy herself not being patient necessarily and go against self for those she cares about is brilliant. So, The Girl Who Waited is pretty damn special. And to bring back someone w/ love is pretty cool too.

Technically yeah. Even though the universe was rebooted he still retains the memories of all those years. lol
Until, of course, the Doctor went to Trenzalore. He entered sometime after 1200 years and stayed there for 900. So, by the time he regenerated, he was over 2,000 years old and finally older than Rory.
Well the Doctor is like 2100 now so...

The Doctor stayed in Trenzalore for 300 years...not 900. So he is 1500 years now...
He was 1200 before he went to Trenzalore... And Even if he was still 900 he would be 1800

@ninjamastercat Those are 2 different scenarios. Rory was an auton who volunteered to wait 2,000 yrs. He could get a job & interact normally with other people. It was a sacrifice he made on his own. Whereas Amy was left behind for 36 yrs, completely alone, constantly fighting against robots, and hiding in some dank engine room. Furthermore, this is the third time the Doctor left her and came back years later. Like,"Hey, I'll only be gone 5min!---JK, I meant 12/2/36 yrs. But wait for me anyway."

Rory IS the oldest, because the Doctor doesn't reach 2000 until he breaks the Rules of Regeneration (with permission of course) at Trenzalore!!
Well, technically he was around 2100 (unless he lied, which he could have, he just lost count).
But yes, indeed The doctor reached the age of 2000 during the war on Trenzalore.

yeah, not to mention amelia in that episode where she was stranded by herself for 30 years and she got all mad at the doctor and rory, and rory spends 2000 years by himself and is not phased at all

When she changeses into Alex Kingston, she says that the last time she regenerated was at the end of The Day of the Moon. She grew up with Amy and Rory their whole lives as well so we can assume she's only regenerated twice. Personally, I am super pissed that they wrote her ability to regenerate away.

You know what made watching this even sadder not just because it was the last episode of the series , it was the last ever condential so no more of the Pond Family moments
Her first regeneration happened when she looked a little under 10, and in Let's Kill Hitler Mels said the last time she regenerated she became a toddler. She then grew up alongside Amy Rory, so she is at least slightly older than them.
Notice at 0:12 she says "my beautiful daughter" not "our beautiful daughter"

@ravenradams Totally agree with you. Older Amy even says that she stayed optimistic for years (quite a feat when you're fighting for your life every day) but eventually the isolation, fear and despair got the better of her. And the Doctor seriously messed up her head the first time he left (for 12 years) so much so that she had to seek (or was forced into) mental help. If I was Older Amy I would have hated him too...
The awkward moment when you realize that you'd been sent to the headmaster for drinking and smoking with your best friend, who actually turns out to be your daughter....

Well, when "The Wedding of River Song" was aired, Melody Pond should have already known the Doctor's name. It was on the crib.
Sure, but once he found a position to watch the Pandorica from, he sat and "stayed out of trouble".
He probably wasn't even a real nightwatchman. He was just dressed as one and stayed hidden while he watched the box.

I found out before (It was my own fault though. I wiki'd River Song right after the Library to see if she came back. Oops.) and it doesn't ruin it. Instead of wondering who she is you wonder when they are going to figure it all out which is just as enjoyable especially in this case.
