We have a 390 D/A that we tried to follow the Kampa instructions in the booklet. No issue with erecting but made a right hash of packing away until we saw your video. Will try for real when we eventually get back to normality. I am also determined to do a video on actually driving away from the awning and returning in our motorhome as have searched everywhere and could only find your advice using a 260. Although not a motorhome as above I welcomed the advice on lining up the vehicle. We used to have a full sized Kampa awning with steel poles when we had our caravan. It was your videos and reviews that enabled us to decide on the 390 air pro drive away. Thank you so much.
Kevin Scanlon glad to hear that our videos are helpful. Have you seen this video about driving away and reattaching. m.ua-cam.com/video/D0sgiTgZLhg/v-deo.html
Thanks. That’s the one I referred to when I said got ideas on how to drive away and return from you. Have not found a video that shows a drive away and return when a 3m tall motorhome has the awning attached either with straps over the top or beading. Also interesting that there are very few references in forums or you tube about people’s experiences with D/A awnings. Please keep up the excellent videos thanks.
we bought this awning last month and used it over a week in Wales, (three different sites) never had an awning previously, but the videos were really helpful. We had two very windy days (40mph gusts) and the awning stood up well. Have yet to try a drive away and return so any video on that would be a real confidence boost!
@@AttwoollsCoUk Thanks for your quick reply. In that case I have the drive away flap rolled up like a sausage on top (on the outside) of the awning, correct? And loose all drive away capability, as there is no way to re-attach the awning after an outing in the same fashion, as I have to windout the attached awning and this is not possible with the Kampa awning standing? Am I missing something?
Astrid Hall so the tunnel section is still in place but you don’t have the flap which goes over the top (this is rolled back into a sausage) but there is a kador beading mid way along that flap of material and then you can connect that onto the motorhome. ua-cam.com/video/ivkt5gtS88o/v-deo.html

Do they have secure bug proof ground sheet? How is it fixed in?
So you can buy a waterproof groundsheet and just peg it down inside the awning but doesn’t attach.
What is the width.....height....wondering if i can use that on my hummer h2? Does it come with a floor?
It doesn’t come with a floor and the overall height is 235cm (so it is quite tall).
Very helpful. Much appreciated 👍
Sorry, but you are either covering your roof window or solar cell? Why would that be acceptable?
Astrid Hall you can by pass this method by attaching it directly into the windout awning via a fixing kit.

Attwoolls Outdoors Thank you again for your kind and expeditious answer. This really helped a lot.
