My daughters dog hasn’t been trained as a service dog, but we’ve been realizing she is sensitive and has been noticing my chronic illness symptoms. The other night, my heart was acting up…I knew it, but I hadn’t said anything to my family about it. She jumped up on the couch and laid across me and then just stared at me in the eyes. I believe my Himalayan cat knew one night when I had an episode with a very low heart rate. He could not wake me one night when I was unable to respond to him he jumped on my chest. I was on a Holter monitor at tge time. My cardiologist showed me the tracing later. You could see when he jumped. She said he saved my life. My heart rate was only 30 which could not have continued much longer. I loved my special boy and I miss him now. That was in 1994.
What’s so great about this is… People often do things and take videos for recognition, but dogs do things just because it’s what they’ve been trained to do and because they love you! Dogs are so pure! ❤️
Dogs have been living and working with humans for thousands of years, they are in tune with our body language, and our emotions more than any other animal. It is heartbreaking that people still neglect, abuse and torture them in medical experiments.
