According to Ian James-Quarterly, the weird animation style of “OK K.O.” was heavily influenced by shows from the ‘90s like AoStH, “Rocko’s Modern Life”, and the 1st season of “The Simpsons”. For all the people who complain about modern cartoons lacking consistency in animation, they clearly didn’t grow up with shows like those.
The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Rocko’s Modern Life are actually well drawn. I'd kill for another jab at a game involving all the cartoon network IP, preferably something story based and my pick would be an MMO, but I'd take anything at this point so long as it was stacked with characters like the OK KO episode.
You know, I never thought of it, having a villain who is cancelling all of the shows while also having one of the main characters being followed GARNET of all characters is some serious irony.
not surprising since OK KO also did a crossover with Sonic and more respectfully than SEGA at the time (till the Movies and Frontiers), even tho I despise TTG with a passion still waiting for it to end so I skipped this, that aside, fan service is like everything else, do it right and it'll work, the DuckTales Reboot actually nailed it for the most part and to be fair, OK KO is more fondly remembered because it was at least original and did this stuff right, while TTG not only insulted everything but also had to follow up the original and the DC shorts (which people was probably expecting more of than whatever TTG was)
I'm really happy that over the years enter hasn't just Limited admirable animations to tear jerking or serious episodes and films but just a really great and impressive animations in general, if you get what I mean
I feel like this show gained a cult following after it aired in the same way something like Futurama exploded after Adult Swim picked it up, but at the time it was just considered an annoying TTG copy or something.
Fanservice is fine as long as it isn't used as an excuse for mediocre storytelling. The Spider-Verse movies are examples of good fanservice. Ready Player One is the opposite.
One thing I love about the statues is I did think they were smart about who was turned into one. Samurai Jack was referenced through a poster because him losing wouldn't make sense, and Lance being the only one of the main cast from Sym-Bionic Titan to not appear. XD ok that ending bit was too funny cause of the mistake you made, and with the dog theme from undertale
seriously though good video.
Lamar may have taken the bullet so to speak, & is of the same politicized lot.
He's still slightly more competent than Rebecca so OKKO only got a "Let's not be Skeletons" every once in a while.
why are you against and trying to delete your completely intelligent takes on boomstick control you put in that "wacky world of psas" video?
i live in australia and you were completely right that it lead to authoritarian hell in those "dark times" we don't like to talk about..
@@Timic83tc Because it’s not as dumb as you believe it is.
Oh yeah & cuz it looks like the video itself got deleted lol.
@@Barakon because he deleted it. i lived through the oppression and it was real and caused by no guns. mrenter is saying my oppression wasn't real.
@@Timic83tc oh.
Episode 69
Mentioned raven's STRONG legs.......
Yeah that was totally intentional
According to the man himself that wasn’t actually Black Hat there, it was a clone.
This was awesome!
When I got the notification I immediately clicked on it😉
It was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
This new editor loves dramatic zooms huh?
I loved this episode
"I'm a fan, service me." - Chris Stuckmann
They had the robot from Time Squad, I haven't thought about that show in forever.
Nice!
Honestly, I thought Crossover Nexus didn’t have enough fan service. I guess it would bogged down the plot even more, but we kinda went in there knowing it would be more of a homage than an episode.
I'd kill for another jab at a game involving all the cartoon network IP, preferably something story based and my pick would be an MMO, but I'd take anything at this point so long as it was stacked with characters like the OK KO episode.
I genuinely wanted to cry when I saw Sym Bionic Titan referenced. Crossover Nexus felt like a true love letter to CN as a whole.
To quote reviewer/filmmaker Chris Stuckmann, "I'm a fan. Service me."
You know, I never thought of it, having a villain who is cancelling all of the shows while also having one of the main characters being followed GARNET of all characters is some serious irony.
Hehe funny number review
C a r t o o n
C a r t o o n s ! ! !
Well, Robot Jones appears for half a second, so it’s automatically better than anything CN has put out recently.
not surprising since OK KO also did a crossover with Sonic and more respectfully than SEGA at the time (till the Movies and Frontiers), even tho I despise TTG with a passion still waiting for it to end so I skipped this, that aside, fan service is like everything else, do it right and it'll work, the DuckTales Reboot actually nailed it for the most part
and to be fair, OK KO is more fondly remembered because it was at least original and did this stuff right, while TTG not only insulted everything but also had to follow up the original and the DC shorts (which people was probably expecting more of than whatever TTG was)
The Sonic crossover episode portrayed the characters like in Colors/Lost World,
So no that's NOT TRUE
@@EggFighterXB-What, you mean the voice actors?
@@geoffreyrichards6079 The portrayals in general.
Sonic is wayy too much of an egomaniac
@@EggFighterXB- Sonic has been depicted as an egomaniac beforehand (look no further than AoStH). Anyone who describes themselves as “cool” has an ego.
@@geoffreyrichards6079 But it's more exaggerated in OK KO
Uncle grandpa in heaven watching this
Nice.
Admirable Animations #69...is about fanservice.
Nice.
This easily one of the best crossovers
I'm really happy that over the years enter hasn't just Limited admirable animations to tear jerking or serious episodes and films but just a really great and impressive animations in general, if you get what I mean
Shame you didn't get this up on 6-9 : )
I feel like this show gained a cult following after it aired in the same way something like Futurama exploded after Adult Swim picked it up, but at the time it was just considered an annoying TTG copy or something.
When is your 200th animated atrocity
It's a shame this special got cut short, and was overshadowed by a stupid Teen Titans Go marathon.
I am still really surprised about they hired Steven Ogg for voicing an antagonist.
So early the video isn't loading
Funny Number 69 420 le epic Keanu Chungus Minecraft Moment Wholesome 100 everyone liked that
This special could've been an hour long special
Well well well~ He did he wouldn’t do one again and look where we are~😌👍

Church(Cerra): Look, that's just the way I feel about it.
Sarge(Me): Well I disagree, but I respect your opinion.
i wish Stephanie Nadolny was the voice for ko for the whole show
Fanservice is fine as long as it isn't used as an excuse for mediocre storytelling. The Spider-Verse movies are examples of good fanservice. Ready Player One is the opposite.
Is it a strange coincidence I'm wearing my Cartoon Network checkerboard logo shirt the same day this review was posted?
I watch this a many years ago. Shame it wasn’t longer.
2:47 IS THAT A FREAKING SONICHU REFERENCE?!
One thing I love about the statues is I did think they were smart about who was turned into one. Samurai Jack was referenced through a poster because him losing wouldn't make sense, and Lance being the only one of the main cast from Sym-Bionic Titan to not appear. Sure, they messed up with having Sheep be stone, but otherwise I think they did take this into account.
I vaguely remember there being a wide shot from Crossover Nexus where Sunny from Class of 3000 was in the background of a street walkway? Maybe im mistaken
Wait i thout you ended Admiral animations ether way ik goad you broght it back it's nice hearing people talk about stuff they like even though you said in the past you find this the hardest part of your job I thank you nonetheless man

Black Hat would’ve bashed Strike into the ground
And yet he got X-ed.
Either Strike was lucky or Black Hat was careless.
Either way, I'm sure that comparisons will be made to some of the bizarre beings that the cast(s) of *Regular Show* and *Close Enough* encountered. ^_^
