Bewitched used something kinda similar in that the spell could only be undone by the one who cast it, allowing for problems to happen when the spell in question was cast in malice, usually Endora on Darrin, or more well meaning but less skilled, Aunt Clara (bad memory being the main culprit). Consistent magic system rules are appreciated.

I actually watched a lot of ‘The Replacements’ when I was younger. Pretty charming for a series that borrows a few things from the Simpsons (The boy’s voice actress is literally Bart’s).
Surprised you mentioned you liked the art style... And not make any details of how it was changed for it’s second season? Well can’t say I blame ya, season 1 is easy to find including on Disney+, but season 2 was a bit hidden. They did try to add more story and even wrap up the series with a finale.
Not a bad series. I gotta watch it again one day.

Of the thin-line animated shows i’ve seen, I think I might actually like Wishfart’s rendition of it THE MOST. The choices for color never keep the screen too busy. The simplicity of the art style doesn’t seem to allow itself to be its downfall with the way the angles are shot and such.

I don't know if I'd call it an "underrated gem" (it topped the charts on Netflix's kids section for quite a while), but I almost never see anyone talk about The Cuphead Show. It's a shame because it's beautifully animated, funny, and I adore the characters. The Devil genuinely occupies such a massive space in my brain that I'd consider him to be something of a kin. The music's pretty great too, both the original songs and the incorporation of classical music. The dark and emotional/heartfelt scenes fit well without being out of place or taking itself overly seriously. It's a REALLY good show and it'll probably be something you vibe with if you enjoy slapstick. Even the worst episodes I would describe as just being "meh".

I recall at least 2 other shows that had a body swap episode where the voice actors didn't switch; Justice League, which had an episode where Lex Luthor and the Flash switched, and Sonic Boom with Sonic and Eggman switching. It sucks that this is so rare.
I also remember getting into an argument with one of my co-workers because they were totally convinced that Ozzy and Drix the TV show came out first and the movie was based on it. Nowadays we have the anime series "Cells at Work" to give us the basic premise of Ozzy and Drix but with anime waifus.

Um, I think Osmosis Jones nearly traumatized me XD because I didn't want to watch about being inside the human body of someone, specifically a kid, on the brink of death, and the only thing I remember from Lloyd in Space is when one of the characters walked into the kitchen, found his mom and his friends sitting around the kitchen table, and he freaked out and ran out of the kitchen. Really though, the way this show was treated is just sad. It had so much potential and it's obvious they had plans. I've even heard that there were multiple fully voiced episodes that were just never released for some reason, and I guess they're lost media now. And it ends on a cliffhanger, which makes everything worse.
And yes, the animation is GORGEOUS- it's done by the same crew behind Rise of the TMNT (which coincidentally was also treated extremely poorly) and it shows. At this point I'm really hoping Moon Girl becomes the next big thing on Disney, because it's just not right that Flying Bark Animation has produced so many visual masterpieces these past few years that have all been treated poorly, cancelled, and hidden by the parent networks

About the body swap voice thing, The Replacements got it right too. Dick and K get body swapped and the voices still match the body, but even better the accents DO get swapped, as in Dick's body speaks with Dick's voice (Dick's vocals cord) but has K's British Accent (K's mind), with the reverse happening with Ks body.

One Doctor Who audio drama has the Sixth Doctor and Peri bodyswap, so for a bit Colin Baker is doing Nicola Bryant’s Peri accent and Nicola is doing a Colin Baker impression. In another story Captain Jack pretends to be the Doctor, and late in the story the Sixth Doctor pretends to be Jack complete with a hilarious cod Texan accent. Good and bad accent swaps are both good fun.

I always enjoyed the Replacements, only a 2 season run from what I recall, but it did have a conclusion which was unique at the time. I enjoyed the ride for sure. You'd see it late on night on Disney alongside "Dave the Barbarian" and "Brandy and Mr. Whiskers"

They only one I wasn’t aware of was Wishfart. I enjoyed Replacements and Ozzy & Drix even if admittedly I usually watched them because shows I really cared about were up next (Power Rangers and The Batman or Pokémon respectively). Lloyd in Space was kinda just there for me as I was channel surfing at my grandparents house but it was alright

Seeing Lloyd in Space made me feel like I was remembering a fever dream. I remember watching the show and remember what it looked like, but couldn't remember anything else. I gotta say your description sold me!
I have great memories of Ozzy and Drix, I always felt the Bill Murray live action stuff was weird, so having an animated human as well as a kid made for such a good choice. It's definitely what defined the main characters to me so much more than the movie
And honestly I'll never not be upset the way people slept on The Replacements. It was such a fun show that I remember liking more than FOP at the time.

Another great obscure one is Sam & Max Freelance Police. If you've started to warm up to The Patrick Show, you'll more than likely adore this one. If you're a Sam & Max fan already, you'll DEFINITELY adore this one. If you aren't, you might just become one.

So this is actually kind of important- the don't sleep if you have a concussion is itself a deadly myth. As long as you don't present danger signs like slurred speech, intense nausea, or increased confusion, it's safe to sleep after a concussion. In fact, outside of that specific set of symptoms, not sleeping can actually be more dangerous to you! The origin of the myth was the hypothesis that sleeping with a concussion could cause a person to fall into a coma or even die. However, medical experts now agree that it is safe for a person to sleep if they have a concussion.

I never managed to catch Ozzy and Drix growing up. But now that I’ve watched quite a few episodes as an adult, I can say I probably would’ve liked it growing up. The human body has always been a fascinating topic for me. I *do* remember seeing several episodes of “The Replacements” when I was a kid. Although I don’t think it’s quite as good as I remember, I still think it holds up well.

Majority of these show (the 4 shown here) I used to watch them in Saturday mornings shows in non-cabel channels like KidsWB, Channel 10 (abc), Foxbox(?). Majority of the kids in my grade school had cable, so I didn't know the shows they were talking about. So it makes me glad that there were other people talking about these even after a decade or two later.

It's not really a good show, but it would be cool to see you take a look at Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids. It's heavy on gross-out and is very "kids' horror", but it's got charm to it, at least in the early episodes before the cheap animation became even cheaper.

7:20 IRONIC you said that, given The Replacements, ALSO had a body swap episode, where the Voices don't swap : we have Agent K and Dick Daring swap bodies as a subplot of a S2 episode
From the clips you saw in the video of how they usually act, that should tell you how funny those few scenes were
19:24 I see. the Teen Titans GO! modus operandi when choosing the name of the episode
20:01 I don't know. It seems weirder that magic can't fix magic. i think i would prefer something like how the jumanji cartoon handled it, with a "requierment" or "mission" you need o fulfill

A show I honestly think never got the attention it deserved because it was overshadowed by contemporaries is Legion of Superheroes. This show aired right as Teen Titans and Justice League Unlimited were ending. And only a few years before Spectacular Spider-Man. Add in non superhero action shows like Avatar, Ben 10, and Star Wars The Clone Wars, and it's obvious *why* it's been forgotten to time, it aired in the action cartoon golden age, but it's sad to see it lost in the shuffle. Brainiac 5 is the best boy.

Here's a little bit of fun info for Ozzy and Drix; that's Phil Lamaar doing a Chris Rock impression and Jeff Bennett... let's be honest, not even trying too hard to sound like David Hyde Pierce. While Drix in the movie was akin to a superhero cop, he gives off Earthworm Jim vibes here. I love how they make their take on each character unique. Speaking of actors, Tim Curry was even in the first episode.

One show I think is underrated due to the reputation Canadian animation was given by the UA-cam animation community is Yvon of The Yukon.
It's a show about a French explorer who is sent on a voyage to the new world on behalf of King Louis XIV who gets lost along the way, winds up falling overboard in the arctic ocean, leaving him frozen for three hundred years.
He is later discovered by a boy named Tommy, who lives in a small village in the Yukon who was out with his dog. And the dog, relieving himself, thaws out the frenchmen.
Yeah, it's a kind of vulgar show but it also has some pretty good episodes

I just started watching The Replacements a few months ago. I think it’s really good, and the plots for each episode regarding the concept of Fleemco makes it really fun. And the theme song is really catchy. I love Riley Daring, Grey Delisle does a great job voicing her. My only complaint is the designs and art style changing in Season 2. Other than that animation and art style wise it’s really amazing.

My underrated gem is the show O'Grady from Noggin's teen programming block, The N. It's such a bizarre-ass show (really weird art style, but it works with the themes of the show) and you have to appreciate absurdist humor to fully enjoy it, but it's really funny if you do appreciate that kind of humor.
"I'll give you a hint: what is scarier than my mother?"
"Someone stealing your kidneys to sell on the black market?"
"Beth, did you watch that show last night?"

    "Yeah."
    "Maybe."
