From Dreams to Dust: Examining the Impact of Mining on Herder Communities in Mongolia

In this short documentary film accompanying our report publication, we delve deeper into the issues faced by the nomadic herder community in Mongolia. We hear firsthand from community members, HRDs, and other stakeholders about the devastating impact that mining is having on their land, air, water, health, and livelihoods.
Through compelling stories and testimonies, we shed light on the struggles faced by these communities as they fight to protect their human rights and fundamental freedoms. We also explore the challenges they face in speaking out against the powerful forces that threaten their way of life.
As we present our concrete recommendations for future advocacy, we hope that this film will inspire viewers to take action and stand in solidarity with the herder community and others affected by similar issues around the world.
