hi Mario! i wanted to thank you so much for the content you make. It’s so simple and easy for me to understand! At the beginning of my math term I was getting late 70’s and then I discovered your channel and got a 95 on my exam. I appreciate all you do for students worldwide. Much thanks from Canada!
Hey, Mario, I am Freshman in 9th grade and learning geometry my teacher wanted an extra lesson on trigonometry and really your video helped me a lot. I saw many past videos you made; they were wonderful and still too. Thank you for always working for students like me.
Thank you so much for your videos, they have become my go-to for maths. I can only agree with the comment below that they have been of tremendous help.

What happens if the we’re given this example: y^2 - 8y + 6x + 16 =0 ?
Where we’d end up with (y - 4)^2 = -6x
Thank you
You're welcome
Thanks ❤
Welcome!
Hi Mario! Can I ask a question? In this part 2:39 where did you get the 4(x-1)?
This was intended to be a quick short video but I have done another more in depth video here that should answer your question: Parabola (Quadratics) Graphing and Writing Equations Using Focus, Directrix, and Vertex

did u find out? thats my only question help.
@@rebeccagonzales07 He factored out a 4 so that (4x-4) becomes 4(x-1)
Great sir teaching sir thank you so much sir
All the best!
How did u get it being a y square type? How do u know
The y is squared and the the x is not squared
Can i ask where did you get the one in p=1?
He made p the subject of the formula so he devided by 4 both sides and he got 1
super mario i love you

How about odd numbers in 4p part?
It will work for odd numbers as well.
think u did a mistake in the first one. focus is (h,k+1) not (h+1,k )so it should be (1,-4)
You are mistaken…kindly Review the video again.
Why 3? 5:51
Because 8 × 3= 24
Why are you flipping the signs to obtain the vertex
