Take 2 Podcast: Presidential debate, Utah primary elections and Supreme Court rulings

On Friday, the left-leaning New York Times editorial board called on President Biden to drop out of the presidential race.
“He struggled to explain what he would accomplish in a second term. He struggled to respond to Mr. Trump’s provocations,” the board wrote. “He struggled to hold Mr. Trump accountable for his lies, his failures, and his chilling plans. More than once, he struggled to make it to the end of a sentence.”
This week’s “Take 2” podcast, hosted by Heidi Hatch, kicks off with guests Maura Carabello and Greg Hughes trying to make sense of what they and millions of others watched last night. The earliest presidential debate in history drew a crowd of close to 50 million viewers. Were any minds changed? Are calls for the 25th Amendment to be used unreasonable? If Biden decides to step down, who will fill those shoes? The Exoro Group’s Maura Carabello, while disappointed in the performance, pointed to the group surrounding the president who she said can be trusted to continue doing the job. Former Utah House Speaker Greg Hughes disagrees, saying it’s time for Biden to go, though he recognizes Republicans would be best served by Biden staying in office.
