Love the dual cherry bombs !
I had that setup on a 79 F150 years ago.
I have said it before but those wheels are killer on MUD.
The patina is “rad” as well!!
It’s a given. I should’ve at least mentioned it though lol
Yes I thought that would be your top like but on second thought that’s an automatic given since you always talk about loving the patina look! You were sharing the things that’s not obvious to the first glance!
Man I love the look of this truck. It does it for me for sure. Goes to show you don't have to have an LS to have a cool driver that sounds awesome!
Thanks, Wes!
Super duper popcorn machine🤣👍
The Patina paint and cam and cherry bombs make it One sweet ass ride!!!
I noticed the A/C too, I’d like to hide that filter drier and heater box behind my firewall or something too, looks a lot cleaner that way for sure 👍🏼
Mud is a clean ass truck! I love the patina..... My favorite is them cherry bomb's thump'n.....
Yes sir!!!
Every now and then, you get one that’s just special. Mud is exactly that. I still get excited about Mud videos!
Heck yeah, man!
Great video! Mud is pretty darn close to 10/10ths as Jesse said about Capone...cant ever say that it's a 100%er, just because there's always something to change/improve, updates in parts, etc. I agree with your favorites 120%, but my favorite is the group effort that came together to make it a reality...and road tripping the daylights out of it!😎😎😎😎
Well, first off; You're a braver man than me: I don't think I could only pick 5 things that I love about Mudd! & secondly; If I was your neighbor & you started that early in the morning, I'd be hollering at you..."REV THAT THING FOR ME ONE TIME!!"
bahaha I feel very confident that they do not like this truck
Love the sound. Really love everything about it lol. Thanks for sharing.
Luv that machine looks and sounds amazing can’t wait for one day to meet u in person and actually be next to your ride
I love the old patina way that you kept it.
What can I say brother you just awesome man. Thank you so very much for all you do. Killer channel brother I wish you guys nothing but the best. And i love your truck awesome
Thank you so much!
Very nice 👌
Probably my favorite part of Mud, would have to be the modification done to the front fenders/inner fenders. While maintaining the stock appearance of the fenders. That took some talent.
It just has a great look! For me im a engine bay cleanliness guy urs is how i would have done it for sure
Thank you, Frank!
awesome build i no u said u was gonna change the mufflers go with the super 44 flomaster they have a real deep tone to them would sound real good with the cam u have
Your neighbors must love that exhaust!! lol. Truck is just cool!!
I can't see them loving much about this truck lol
That was a fun build to watch! Hope to see it one day. 😊
Mudd is a wicked cool truck Robbie. Speaking of 73,74 grills. I have 2 chrome ones that I would part with if anyone is needing one.. No cracks no breaks. They're hanging on my wall with Hotwheels and Matchbox cars displayed on them. 😎
Love those bucket seats. I found out my buckets and console are from a 86to 89 Dodge Ramcharger or something. They have aprons on the bottom and no arm rests.
This was a bad ass video spotlighting a bad ass truck. I, personally, like to see the content showcasing different builds like this and the white stepside a few weeks back.
Yes sir! We’ve got WAY more of that coming in the future.
Hey sir I became the owner of my 69 GMC twice now !! Will start on the build in July !! Love your channel and all it's cool ass rides ! San Diego
Call the next one “5 areas of opportunity for Mississippi Mud” 😂
EXACTLY! bring in that corporate rhetoric lol
May 20, May Truck-in, all truck day, Piedmont Dragway....
Bad ass truck
Thank you!
Very simple build. Great job. I like the small block Chevy.
That truck is stunning dude! Great build for real.
My favorite part of this truck is definitely the patina 😮💨
I mean, that's my ultimate favorite but that was too obvious. I did forget to even mention it though lol
Really, really awesome rig, Robby!
I'm torn between the wheels and the very nicely-dressed-out SBC as my favorite parts of Mud. But, I also like your tasteful darker red interior color. It's pretty much a win across the board.
Have you considered patina-matching the patched cab corners/rockers? If there's one thing I'd change, I'd spatter those bright, baby blue panels with a couple shades of brown/red spray paint.
DSE make great parts, and builds! I have a friend that works there.
Sbc power plant and definitely the patina. 👊🏻🤘🏻
Yes sir!
Robbie I love Mississippi Mud it turned out great..
Thank you! Got some more refinements coming
This truck is just right!
Thank you
Awesome work enjoy your truck
Love that truck great sound
Enjoyed this chop !!
Great idea for a series!!!
Did I miss in the build videos on Mud where you guys raised in front inner wheel tubs for more clearance ?? Id love to see how you guys did that but can find any clips in the videos.
thank you. i've been waiting
Thank you for watching!
Keep up the amazing content Robbie!!!!
Love that truck!
Man me too
Wheels and tires no shit fucking love it😍
#6 cold Mississippi magnolia beer in the cooler.
Awesome
Great build!🔥
Thank you
This truck is killer! There’s only 2 things I would probably do different, hydraulic roller and different mufflers! Just my opinion! Love the truck dude!
Yeah, for sure would have paid the extra few bucks for roller. All this expensive equipment, makes no sense for flat tappet.
Definitely my biggest regret but it sure does run good!
I know this is a slightly older video. Very helpful though. I’m trying to get my stance set up. Did you have to modify the wheelwells on the front or the rear at all? I’m just concerned about rubbing.
What all was needed to mate the 4l80 to the engine to make it work.
It was real simple. Needed a converter to go from 4l80 to sbc, flexplate to match, Lokar aca-1800 shifter and the trans wiring that's a part of the Holley Terminator X Max.
What about the patina?? That's my favorite part. With the cam and exhaust a close second
It's mine too, but that's a given. I did fail to at least mention it though
Did you guys do anything with the rear axle housing/gears?
Everything about Mud is cool. Like you said Hot Rod square body. So tell us Robbie…….are the black widow 250s more obnoxious than the cherry bombs or are they about the same 😅
The dang 250s are nowhere near as loud as the Cherry Bombs, in my opinion. I'm planning a bit of a muffler shootout and will let you know.
Don't forget about Teddy.
The Engine bay sure looks good With that gold smallblock in There. an ls might be superior performance wise, but they never look that good
lunasty cam - potato potato potato , off the reservation cool
No doubt!
There is nothing I don't like about Mississippi Mud. Killer truck
love the truck awsome build.where did you get that color for the block ?
It’s a factory squarebody color called Yuba Gold. Produced on the early 70s trucks. One of my favorite colors so i thought it would contrast well with the blue.
Do you even have a truck with a standard transmission? This truck would be SOOO much cooler if you threw that 4Lwhatever in the trash and put in a TKX Tremec.i mean INFINITELY cooler with a third pedal
What size lower kit are you running
Love the truck bud I’m trying to get ahold of Alex Walker for some tuning questions what is the best way to do thanks for your help
Thank you! try walkertuned@gmail.com
Like everything except the exhaust.
What was the backspacing on the front and rear wheels
20x8.5 up front (5.25 bs) and a 20x10 in rear (5.5 bs)
Is possible make a 800hp 1970 c -10 truck pls say I will be waiting for the reply bro pls suggest best
engine for this build
It’s a fine truck. Personally, I’m not big on cherry bombs, but I’m a big block guy, and you get more deep resonance with a big block anyway. Part of my affinity for these trucks is that you have enormous real estate with which to apply some serious power. My truck originally had a 350, but that just didn’t seem appropriate in that huge engine bay. I putting a 632 big block in it. Everybody does the LS swap, but I want to make big power on pump gas without fear of detonation or needing $15 per gallon race fuel to put it through its paces. It’s an expensive ordeal all the way around. I’ll have over 50k in it by the end, but to quote Rat Rod Bob, “Because I can, and I want to.”
What wheels are those?
You clearly did not watch even 1 second of the video.
@@SOLDOZER no mention of brand or model of wheels.
@@brownfox2292 He literally tells the brand of the wheels, the size and even the backspacing. Maybe you're just dumb?
3:45 3:45
Will those headers fit on 67 to 72?
I believe they would but I’d confirm with Ultimate before purchase
What is drop in the front and rear? I assume a flip kit in the rear.
Yep it’s about a 5.5/9 but I’m on bumpstops on rear
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS thanks!
What kind of fuel mileage are you getting
You dont build these for fuel milage.
Stop neglecting Teddy!
Oh Teddy is about to get ANOTHER overhaul. Just be patient. :)
Its a "hot rod" because it does not have a stupid LS?
I don't under stand you guys . You spend money on under the hood engine etc. drive train . brakes , interior , gauges , audio and leave the out side looking like krapp . I am sorry I guess I am old school I like a well done truck inside and out .
That look is in. Fancy paint is out....
Paint that thing already please
Paint it? Hahahaha!!! Only a Mexican would ruin that patina.
