From 2007 Ruby Walsh rode just 2 handicap winners from 52 rides, and AP rode 3 winners from 50. Take the claimer, and you'll get a much bigger price to.
How many did claimers win? If I had owned any horse at Cheltenham never mind a handicap I’d be wanting Davy On board.

Next years show have a transfer window allowing maybe 3 by last week to go .
Best advice is to draw a line under antepost betting at this point and wait for final decs, extra places, extra markets etc.

@@jacob4690 explain? My antepost book started before the last festival for this year. Come Tuesday I will start again with fresh mind, ground, weights , jocks and stable form. No point doing anything now until Tuesday as prices will drift . Bookies will compete. If your not already set by now there's no point in going in again. Just my opinion.

Looking forward to Thursday's show. I watched the Paddy Power live stream last night: shambolic doesn't do it justice.
After watching that I can only say I didn't realise just how much I like both these fellas and their rapport until I sat through two hours of the insufferable windbag and personality vacuum that is Frank Hickey boring everyone to tears.
All bookie sponsored podcasts are shambolic.

Sound was like there were five Daleks in the studio, stream froze every time a boost was about to be given out, Frank Hickey would not shut up, even when told the show needed to be sped up, Ruby looking like he wanted to chin Frank for his incessant blather, and Tony Mullins seemingly 3/4 cut and away with the fairies.
Paddy Power preview very poor, sound very bad and banter definitely could have been better but thought that was across the board. Not one for comments on UA-cam or any social media but think the comment about Frank isn’t fair, ya never know what’s going in somebody else’s life, a very shrewd man and more than capable of keeping on side fancied horses & laying favs that most of us think are good things. He’s not in the position he’s in because of his banter or personality, he’s there because he knows what he’s talking about. Personally like his very sarcastic sense of humour though & you can get a sense of it on the paddy power podcast every week. Personally just don’t think it’s fair picking out 1 name when he wasn’t even what brought the show down imo. Having said that though everyone entitled to their opinion 👍

I personally thought Frank was insufferable on the night, but as you say, each to their own, and maybe he just had a bad one.

Gary (The Voice) is a great guy. I had a decent chat with him at Punchestown a good few years ago. He tipped me the fav (ew) in the upcoming race (possibly the gold cup) , but I backed the winner (Kempes). 🙂
Top guy all the same, after he was finished doing a piece to camera he stood and chatted with me (a total stranger from Belfast) for a good five minutes. You couldn’t help but like him.

If Henry Daly doesn’t run Hillcrest in the Bartlett now he needs to be retired. The Bartlett is killing me - I had Blazing Khal at 16/1, Minella Crooner at 25/1 and Hillcrest at 20/1!
Love Gavin but is he being serious with his tip? When the price was blown out of the water in the PP preview when Kevin Blake napped it and it went from 12s to 13/2 top price? Also. DJs ante post pick this week was published last Thursday night in the weekender cheltenham special paper!

This old fossil has watched the show from the first and enjoy the fun first and foremost. Ante post cant be easy as anybody considering any horse ante post are they not having a treble? As 1 it's got to be stay fit enough to run. 2 it's got to run in the race chosen. 3 it's got to win or place. Just for fun if an ante post is a treble how many bets is an ante post luck fifteen ? Davy Russell, said at one of the previews, that he had never won on a horse, at Cheltenham, who couldn't jump, which is a bit of a worry, if you're on Sir Gerhard in the Supreme. MASSIVE lay!
Gavin mentioned the Barberstown Castle preview (Gary O'Brien, Gavin Lynch, Davy Russell and Ruby Walsh), which is definitely worth a watch
