      I'm studying abroad in Seoul, Korea for a semester and lately, I found so much joy in my walk back from campus to the dorms. Just looking at the buildings, hearing the birds and seeing other students going back to the dorms. It makes me feel that I'm part of this fully

    I love watching birds, cats, dogs and squirrels from the window of my room, and it just came to my mind that they're just living and that's what we could try to do too. Forget our human biases, the shame, the worries about what other people might think, our judgments toward other people... And just be there. And accept others as just human beings, just as we are. When I get caught in my "human life" and feel myself always hurrying, being stressed, overworked, I just stop and watch the birds, the cats, the dogs, the squirrels and get back to that mindset. It's radical acceptance in a way, I guess.
    Living in our human world can make us forget what is really important for us to be alive and healthy and happy. What you said about death is really interesting and I will try to work on that myself. Just accept how things are, and death is a part of our life. It is something that happens and it would be great to be able to be more at peace with it. And we have our lifetime to be there, to enjoy just being there.
    I love your videos and this one is one of my favourites now. It feels like having a good conversation with a friend and I learned a lot. Watching this video brought a lot of joy to me ahah.
    (Sorry for the long comment, I hope it made sense)

    Ohhh I also had some realisations about death this year during the 'Rauhnächte' (twelve nichts of Christmas)!! So I put *'memento mori'* (latin for "always remember that you're gonna die") and *'carpe diem'* ("make use of your day") on my vision board and I try to look at it every day. I haven't fully internalized the aligned way of living yet, but I really aspire to! Your wisdoms help and I will meditate on them 💚 thank you for sharing Helena!! 💚

    This was really deep and well done. My parents both passed in middle age, and I'm now in middle age and have no plans to go soon. But like you said, it's not always up to us I strive for letting go of all the harm that was done against me over a lifetime. I know the difference between that and forgiveness. The terrorists demand forgiveness ( worship), or you can't be saved according to ( criminal) career evangelicals - even those on TV. That neutral indifference is not enough for them, as they mean worship for themselves. They demand forgiveness so that the innocent victims can still spend forever around their enemies that killed their family too. They say victims can't heal without forgiveness, that neutral letting go indifference isn't enough. They are the evil of the world. And they are dead wrong.

    Beautiful ! The identity subject is soooo vast, especially when you are an expat/immigrant, my experience of 13 years living in France has been essential for letting go of projections on others and of self limitations through identity labeling. For some, there is the risk of losing yourself while trying to adapt to another culture, for me it was a reconnection with my peaceful, silent and free self, by asking myself these questions that maybe I wouldn't have imagined in the comfort of my own hometown.
    Thank you for this peaceful moment ❤️

    Telling someone that they don't need to heal themselves is problematic. CPTSD and PTSD are very real and need time and care to heal. Having survived something traumatic rewrites you and it is not a matter of thinking "I don't need to heal. I can just let go" A time comes in the healing journey when you can see yourself in the trauma and you can start to let go of the things that happened to you but it's not trauma informed to say you don't need to heal.

    • @helenawoods
      @helenawoods  2 роки тому

      I'm not talking about trauma in this video. Nor have I ever made a video on trauma. In this video, I'm sharing universal truths that are described in Buddhism. I talk about feeling your feelings fully. Pick up any book on Buddhism or presence and you'll see the themes of letting go, surrender, and release. EDIT: Also, I am ALL about confronting and healing pain. Acknowledging, accepting, and moving through pain is how we heal. I've talked about this for years in so many of my videos and blog posts.

    • @soliel8999
      @soliel8999 Рік тому

      I am healing from CPTSD as a result of several years of narcissistic abuse. In this kind of abuse, when you realize what happened to you, there is often an overwhelming sense of shame, because narcissists try to usurp and destroy your identity. I discovered the only way for me to not be overwhelmed with the shame was to let Christ bear it. In that sense I had to let go of my identity and recieve the identity of all He was, is and is to come. The Scriptures teach of 'dying daily' so the life of Christ is realized in and through us. All I know is that's the only way I found wholeness.

    There is no permanence
    But a continuation
    The world
    The Universe
    Will continue
    With us
    And in spite of us
    We are not so important
    But it is true that the whole world
    The whole Universe
    Are given to us to perceive
    To learn and listen
    To be ...
    In this we are given a little share of eternity
    Eternity means ultimate lightness
    Thank you so much 💕🐰💕🌱☘️🌷

    Sometimes peace is not our own to cultivate. I lived without the prince of peace for many years. That prince is Jesus Christ. He gives us peace that is not of this world His presence is like the gentlest sea breeze and the sweetest honey. He made us as our creator and he knows how many hairs on on our head. He knows what we think. He knows how to heal us and he gives us his presence for peace. Love your sweet videos. Hope you find Jesus someday
