Russian is one of the most popular languages in the world, and it's also a beautiful language. But learning it is not always easy - there are so many words that sound similar to each other! That's why we made this video: It has all the most important Russian phrases for absolute beginners, so you could start with these and then learn some more. Learning Russian is not easy, that's why we created the Russian Level 1 channel. It's full of study resources created for beginner students of the Russian language. All Russian words and phrases in our lessons are translated into English and transliterated into Latin characters. I met 2 Russian men in the small city I live in. They came, from Florida, to drop off a vehicle at my shop and I started speaking to them in Russian. They were shocked. They never heard a native Texan, Hispanic speak Russian. 😁

I randomly learned the Cyrillic alaphabet for no reason during quarantine and have been obsessed since. I haven't actually gotten around to learning the actual language but now is the time in 2023!

What I like abt it is that once U learn d alphabet words sound near exactly how they're spelt. It's very phonically.

Russian is a very beautiful language. I've learnt a lot just by watching movies ❤
I'd recommend slowing down on the longer sentences and focus on the pronunciation. I took Russian in high school and have always been fascinated with Russian history and Russian people. To say Russians are resilient people is an understatement. I'm sure the average American has more in common with the average Russian than their own politicians.

@@_hunter_hunter1048 I’m a native speaker of this language. It’s pronounced when it’s not stressed. Молокó (milk) is spelt moloko, pronounced more like malako, because of this thing called vowel reduction

Learning Russian on my own from Croatia! I have always enjoyed your language and had an interest in it and in the last few weeks I have decided to start focusing on learning some basic Russian. I already know so much. Our languages are very similar. I hate that this beautiful language and culture is now darkened by the recent events and I hope that the suffering ends as soon as possible. I sympathize with you, I hope you will be able to cope with this difficult period. As a person who also experienced depression a year ago, I can recommend listening to classical music for an hour or two a day at times when you are alone with yourself and your thoughts. If you don't like classical music at all, then start searching for compositions from those that are called "not boring". They are able to captivate anyone. The waltz betrays me the most motivation, because of its rhythmicity. Maybe reading Russian literature will also help, it is melancholic and tragic, but after it you really want to live. I hope everything will be fine with you🙏❤

@@Froot_Loops11 you should look for a book called Brain Energy by Chris Palmer. He s a Harvard trained psychiatrist...really good. It s about lots of tools that one can use to treat and reverse mental illness including depression.

Very attractive language,,as usual people keep saying it's very difficult language but what i know it's depend on your attitude towards something if you set your mind that's it's very difficult for sure it will but if you set mind it's an easy language and pay attention on it you are good to go,,I'm African learning Russian everyday i make sure i learn 1_2 words to upgrade

Just wanted to say something about the hello translation:
Здравствуйте is closer to hello than привет is. The way I learned it was that привет meant hi while здравствуйте meant hello.

As someone learning, ive thought to consider "привет" as more of a "whats up" than a "hello".

привет is a friendly greeting used with someone you already know, use здравствуйте with strangers and in formal settings.

Im native finnish speaker and it's fascinating to see that there's a few same or at least similar sounding words between these languages even though they are not in the same language family.

this is just info for myself but you can use it if you need to, 30 sentences/ day, that means 5 days, if its too hard you can do 10 sentences a day, then it's 15 days, then ofc extra easy extra time is 5 sentences a day and its 30days, but good things take time and don't give up. Dont overwork yourself tho, you can get breaks and you'll be just fine, loves
