But....
Can the workers stop Slamming And throwing our packages?
They can't now because of the cctv and UA-cam
Nope. Not until human handling of packages is reduced to zero will packages stop being treated roughly. We just don’t have time to treat your package like eggs.
If still use human no....
You don't need to treat our package like eggs... but at least don't treat it like trash either.
appleintosh Alright, so maybe you guys can't treat it like a carton of eggs. Sounds reasonable. But I have seen packages that had toothpaste and dumbbells in the SAME BOX with NO PROTECTION, and even a diploma folded to be shoved into a mailbox when it clearly said 'DO NOT FOLD'. I get it wasn't you, but still: Show some respect for the packages
Tetris for packages
Nacho TV more creative comment then justin y
Just saying ...plz nobody respond
Dr.Fucked Down lol
lol i thought the same thing
that was the first thing that popped into my head hahahaha good shit brother
The future is now
Justin Y. I agree and also firat
Am i a creepy stalker? maybe
No u
He IS youtube
Justin Y. Is this what you do with the only change you get at life? Do you enjoy this?
Ur a professional UA-cam commentor?i see u everywhere
I don’t know what part of it is a belt
When you connect them together, that's the belt. This is just a node.
you must be fun at partys
they are rollers😁
It’s called a conveyer belt because this type of device typically uses belts. This one does the same thing, even if it technically doesn’t have a belt.
hundidosplodo a crane does the same thing and doesn't have a belt
That should be called a conveyor plane..
MDC...P multi directional conveyor...plane ?
It probably won't change the way we use conveyor belts, because it's not a conveyor belt :)
But, can someone be interested in this conveyor cell and make a nice adventure park ride?
Ok, now we just have to put a guy with vr goggles on it
Soccer playing robots are somewhere useful now
Is this a pewdiepie reference?
joe laet U rood
Welcome to Germany where efficiency is the only reason we are born
Pretty sure that's not a conveyor belt
its a conveyor table
Moving wheel platform.
If you say any direction, what about up? Or down!?
Michael Zhang Coming soon
Coming soon in 2016
Tell me Scotty, how much does this cost?
Normal conveyors are stupid simple, one motor, a belt, and 2 rollers.
Styil A normal conveyor can’t do what this can.
mrlevite1237 he learned how to make conveyor belts from the Minecraft tekkit modpack 😂😂😂
Where does all the dust and grime go? What happens if trash gets on to the system?
The only thing missing is away for them to individually track the package and respectively sort them to a their specific direction. Amazon and shipping companies will love that.
I don't think this will replace the traditional conveyor belt anytime soon. It's not as cost-effective as the old one, and could certainly make use of some fine tuning for some movements.

Is this the new tetris
If the cell can go up and down, then it can even stack the packages. Cool!
If you could somehow attach sensors to it so that it knows how large a package is then you could have it automatically send certain sizes to certain places
A few weeks ago a worker apparently pissed on a package of mine. How about solving that problem first...
Haven't these been around for like, ever? Plane crates use these when moving large cargo palates.
Sorry for my bad english
It seems like something that works like this has already been around. This is similar to LD3 container loaders used for airplanes.
Fifa 2022 looks good
So it's basically a whole team of Soccer-Playing robots flipped upside down? Damn these robots have found new purpose
the future of vr games
Great now we need human Android to do rest of work
A mysterious Goose #Detroitbecomehuman
CyberLife Coming soon 2027
I want Connor!
A mysterious Goose
Or human ios
why does the guy on the right at 2:29 look like a villain
Awesome.:-) Furthermore, something like this could enable an omnidirectional treadmill, which could benefit virtual reality.
Something like this could be used for vr.
The way it moves looks like a coolmath game
Similar things have been used airports too.
"..put the soccer robot upside down.." this guy think like kids, genius
It would be great if cells those work are only with object above it. Could save small extra amount of energy.
Each row of boxes will not be removed until they receive a long skinny box 📦.
yes, but can it be pitched?
Wow you guys actually did a tech video!
This is actually pretty good.
Ocado would defitinitely benefit ftom this. It certainly helps with storing goods.
1:41 parcel volumes (correction)
About time this stuff exists
I mean, i’m not sure how exactly this is a conveyor belt, but it is pretty interesting
Wheels that can roll.... revolutionary
What if you made roads with this?
seems complicated and probably because of that, the motors are driven the same time by type for every unit. this is not really an optimized solution, is it?
I'd like to see it when officially released though
consider future roadways where the road moves the vehicles
I wish all my house floor is like This! No more boring walking just to go to toilet or fridge!
Why not just use gimballs? Like old pre-laser computer mice?
This new factorio patch looks interesting, though I'm worried about balance.
I’m so jealous I wish I could move boxes in any direction.
Next step, pave the roads with this and have everyone sit on cookie sheets
Can it go straight up
Some engineer deserves a million dollar raise
Wonderful,😊Every invention will improved through utilising and improve.Useful.&neatly creat ed😀😀,👌👍👍
Can already see tons of problem:
1, only works with flat package. Plastic mailbag, bubble-wraped gifts --- forget about it.
2, much more costly - duh.
3, a lot less durable: too much electronic mechanical parts and all are bound to fail: good thing they made it much Easier to replace lol.
4,most likely won't go uphill at a steep degree, three wheels is too little contact surface
5, same applies to downhill.
6, probably also require additional sensor to have awareness on what/ where package on the system, even more expenses/chance of failure.
In conclusion, this thing isn't replacing conveyer belt anytime soon, but it does have a tiny niche market where the company might need a lot reformatting/a lot of complex conveyer option.
Most packages are flat and boxy. If there is an irregular package, they can send it to another part of the line for processing, and end up using less time and investment in those. I dont think it would be a problem.
It shouldn't have to go uphill. It's meant to compliment the conventional conveyor system, it shouldn't have to replace it. You see in the video the conveyor was mostly used for sorting to other conveyors. That seems like its most useful and therefore most common application. If a package needs to go vertical, it can go on a conveyor belt. Or maybe they can elevate the conveyor device to access a higher chute. Same with going down.
I think having one small and costly unit would be more cost effective than building a much larger system of conventional conveyors to do the same sorting, especially where space is tight.
Skepticism is valid, but I dont think it's merited.
That is already used in plane cargo holds
You could use this to play tetris with blocks
There was an Ad for an similar transportation system before the video and I thought it was the actual video 😝
It's more like a conveyor pad or track
0:53 i don't know why but that boxes really bother me :/
*It's the future, zura!*
Upside-down soccer robots - why didn't I think of that
Great, There goes my daily job!
Great interesting subject - spoiled by the very irritating noise
Brilliant Idea 👌👏👏👏👏
Just Great
Is that ceo mr puzzle? Sounds the same
Human ingenuity..👏
Pretty cool.
1) this doesn't work on an angle ascending or descending. 2) its not a belt, it's a hub for swapping direction. This has no added benefits compared to an average conveyer belt. It's an inconvenience and doesn't make anything easier or faster.
Is this math?
FataMazaya Just basic vector math.
No - this is magic
Math times a billion.
No, this is Patrick.
This is the part where you used Pythagorean theorem you never thought you'd use
so like, what’s next? a tetris machine?
Only drawback is that it seems a bit slow compared to the fixed conveyors.
This needs to be put in Factorio
Fortresscraft Evolved needs this.
Well, can it move downwards?
In most of the applications, it seems like the corners are almost never used
This is the slide of the future
this is so cool, just need some improvement to speed up the process
So, it's a bunch of omni directional wheels that act like ball bearings that you can control.
I wonder if this can be use for VR.
One day, humans will be able to move packages in any directions.
Will only work well if all the packages are the same size.
then how can it move smaller objects efficiently?
1:52 someone forget to center the belt right side is in bad condition :D
I wonder what will happen with a smaller package
Pretty basic but functional concept
Yeah, that's cool and all, but can it run Doom?
This is really amazing !!!
Awesome.
Cullveyor because its cool
0:35 fair enough
I wonder if a similar concept could be used with endless flooring with Virtual Reality.
That’s not “omni-directional” wheels as it only move forward or backwards making it a “bi-directional” wheel
First cars and xbox now conveyors are gonna be like cod matches
Actually genuis
What about small objects
The factory grows
how about up down?
We need this at the airport
good...
Well, this is the future everybody
