Thanks for your nice lecture. I am actually facing a big problem of reproducibility analysing XRD patterns of carbons. The Intensity and S/N ratio is actually non reproducible for the same sample, a believe due to the unreproducible packing of carbon in the sample holder, due to its soft nature and low absorption coefficient of carbon. How is it possible to solve this issue, and comparing different samples? How should I prepare samples? What are the standard procedure? Is it possible in some ways to post process the XRD pattern mathematically to compare the patterns, and if yes, how?
