Got to agree with you bro, the Skydweller is by far the best all-rounder in the Rolex lineup, I'd argue you could even have the Skydweller as a one-watch collection - it works for pretty much any occasion. Congrats on the new addition to the collection 👍🏼
Agreed. The issue comes when you build a diverse collection with smaller or lighter watches and begin to think that the Sky-Dweller wears too large or is too heavy to be a daily.
A one-watch collection that you can't swim with? I traded my blue dial sky, at the top of the market, for a brand new sea dweller 43 and some handy change. The SD43 is my perfect watch. I do love the sky dweller though and will buy again at the right time. Either blue dial steel again or one of the gold variants.
Congrats 👏 on the new piece! I am currently enjoying a rotation of the Sea-Dweller 43 with the white dial Sky-Dweller. I find the timing function with the rotatable bezel trumps the chronograph feature as I've not yet had need for the tachymeter.

The SD Suits you really well and with the ring command bezel its something you just dont find with any other brand. Also like quite a lot the Yachtmaster as the regatta Chrono is just interesting. The blue Sky is almost my Grail watch, I've been on the list at my conci for 2 years now. For this I kept a Sky steel with a black blade on the RibberB in black and red and the Rosegold version with a white blade. I just love the Sky-Dweller.
Ohhh nice, I know what the combo looks like! specially with the redlined rubberb, very nice. I am personally contemplating the blue strap with redlining. The rose is just a million times better looking on black rubberb. Well done!
I couldn’t agree more that the Sky-dweller is an amazing piece. I have a 7.25+ (by a little)-inch wrist, and I, too, find the watch to rest perfectly on the top of the wrist. I’ve got the RG OF reference with the white dial and find it absolutely beautiful. I look forward to getting the SS blue dial as well one day (one year?). But the OF setting makes the PM piece much more wearable as either dressy or casual. And I wear it for both. It’s also amazingly comfortable. Love the channel and your insights. Please keep up the good and helpful work.

Congrats man! I have a white dial stainless Sky Dweller (same reference) and I've loved it since I got it around 2 yrs ago. I love the heft on the wrist and it feels so supple and sturdy while also being such a great all-around reference from Rolex. I have to say, when I was buying the watch I was bummed that the jubilee version did not exist, but now that they have it on jubilee I've actually been considering putting my name down for a blue dial jubilee! But maybe 2 sky dwellers is a bit 'extra' especially before having a Daytona :) Not to mention being impossible to get.
Two is definitely an overkill! Just top up the jubilee🙂 save the money for a Daytona and your set! If I ever consolidate (I think I will at some point) that would be it for me SKydweller, panda dial Daytona + 15500 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 😆

For me it would be the GMT Master ii (BLRO) and the sky Dweller … the submariner is nice but there is rather better divers I would like to have same goes for the Daytona. Rolex GMT owns that segment and I think the Sky Dweller is very amazing for that as well

I don’t think so David, maybe shaving off 0.5mm and call it 1 like what we’ve seen with the new submariners 😂 sliming down the case significantly means sliming down the movement and the case! That’ll somehow affect the robustness Rolex is known for plus let’s not forget it packs 4 functions 🙏
Have the 2 tone jubilee bracelet with the opalescent white dial. As the sun's rays hit her, it displays a impressive reflection on most surfaces, very impressive. She's 4 watches in one, a gmt, date, month and local timepiece. If you travel, you can always know your base time from the 24hr ring. If you go to a party, for a few days and really inebriated, just look at your watch and she will tell you how many days or hours you where in that condition! Ahhh yes, it's really something different.😅 ❤
You need to have a look at the octofinissimo 103371 in rubber! A killer machine if you are open to diversify. All their line-up is incredible but for me the 103371 is my favorite. Otherwise your collection is amazing and it js evolving super nicely

I found it top heavy, and a bit clumsy on my wrist. If they could make the case slimmer, it would be perfect. I really liked the Rolesor bright black dial variant, probably because it’a more obtainable.
I have always said the skydweller steel is the best Rolex watch ever made. It's the most complicated and you get value for money because most of everything else is time and date only. (Apart from the daytona - chrono). The daytona, explorer and skydweller is the only Rolexs you only need for your collection. Any other models will just be a bonus in the collection.
Well for me Stainless Steel Submariner Black dial and the Yellow Gold DayDate White dial. Both look absolutely beautiful on black skin,skin colour does matter when matching clothes and Jewellery.
Ridah, respect you to the max brother. However, the two Rolexes that you must own are the Sub and the DJ41. If you have those two, you literally don’t need any other watches. Great addition to the collection though. I tried on this blue dial SD and it was just too big for me. I wished I had copped it though and flipped it. I’m the worst flipper, but could have made some money there.

I have the 216570 Rolex Explorer 2, which is 42mm wide as well. It doesn’t feel Big at all, I guess the 42mm Sky-Dweller is taller, there for it feel like a bigger watch! But if you compare , lets say a Breitling Chronomat 44mm or the Breitling Superocean Heritage 46mm, the Rolex Sky-Dweller doesn’t feel Big at all! But as a Rolex, it’s Big in size…….. I could easy think myself to own your blue steel Rolex Sky-Dweller, Big Congrats to you Bro, for having a super cool Rolex, the most complicated one, a true future Classics!👏🏻👏🏻😍😍

Not greatly but will Impact the price of you decide to trade up in future. Also not sure why they can’t get you the papers? It’s literally one card they can’t print! In any case it’s an awesome kick ass watch, as long as you are confident it’s brand new and happy with it that’s all that matters.
@@WatchSociety Because it was an exhibition piece Rolex "for some reason" does not issue warranty. The Receipt States 5 Year warranty just as Rolex but it is through the AD. Meaning for any repair they will foot the bill. I just could not pass up this watch at Retail! Thanks for the Reply.

If your view is that the Sky-dweller is just an oversized Datejust, you’ve not looked at it carefully or tried it on. From the GMT subdial and red arrow at the top to the annual calendar markers (red in most cases), the dial is completely different. And the size doesn’t come close to a comparison.
@@casa2109 I know it’s a more complex movement and it has different bits in the dial but for me I am not somebody who can get a watch from an AD. Not important enough and the watch just looks to similar to justify the mark up from a grey. But that’s just my opinion, Lovley watch though.

Sky-Dweller has great wrist presence and frequently gets complements. My favorite in the Rolex catalog.

the skydweller clasp is a let down purely because it doesnt have the standard safety catch, incredibly. meaning i assume it will come loose too easily

Sell the 116520. The ceramic one is so much more pleasing. I have both. 4 Daytonas in total. Only the ceramic one gets any play.

Ridah, respect you to the max brother. However, the two Rolexes that you must own are the Sub and the DJ41. If you have those two, you literally don’t need any other watches. Great addition to the collection though. I tried on this blue dial SD and it was just too big for me. I wished I had copped it though and flipped it. I’m the worst flipper, but could have made some money there.

I have the 216570 Rolex Explorer 2, which is 42mm wide as well. It doesn’t feel Big at all, I guess the 42mm Sky-Dweller is taller, there for it feel like a bigger watch! But if you compare , lets say a Breitling Chronomat 44mm or the Breitling Superocean Heritage 46mm, the Rolex Sky-Dweller doesn’t feel Big at all! But as a Rolex, it’s Big in size…….. I could easy think myself to own your blue steel Rolex Sky-Dweller, Big Congrats to you Bro, for having a super cool Rolex, the most complicated one, a true future Classics!👏🏻👏🏻😍😍

Ready for this? My Local AD Was Smash and Grabbed the Rolex Case Last October "All Expedition watches" . But the thieves Missed One Piece. They Literally left the Best for ME! 326934 Blue Sky Dweller AT RETAIL! The Only Draw Back? No Papers which means the 5 Year Warranty is through the Store and No Extra Links. How big of deal is it not to have Papers and the extra links? Thanks for the Great Vids!

@@WatchSociety Because it was an exhibition piece Rolex "for some reason" does not issue warranty. The Receipt States 5 Year warranty just as Rolex but it is through the AD. Meaning for any repair they will foot the bill. I just could not pass up this watch at Retail! Thanks for the Reply.
Congrats again on the new pieces . For me A must have in a Rolex collection are the Gmt and Dayton especially the gmt largely because of its functions . I found it to be rather helpful and useful.

I couldn’t get any Daytona at retail, precious metals included! But they did give me a blue dial SD! Not sure how they tabled that!😂 And yes, it’s a mountain to climb and a lot more difficult than a steel Daytona!

If your view is that the Sky-dweller is just an oversized Datejust, you’ve not looked at it carefully or tried it on. From the GMT subdial and red arrow at the top to the annual calendar markers (red in most cases), the dial is completely different. And the size doesn’t come close to a comparison.
@@casa2109 I know it’s a more complex movement and it has different bits in the dial but for me I am not somebody who can get a watch from an AD. Not important enough and the watch just looks to similar to justify the mark up from a grey. But that’s just my opinion, Lovley watch though.
