The video was informative and I imagine helpful to those not in the elevator industry. There's some key items you should add to your video to ensure we the First Responder doesn't become part of the rescue. 1. Hoistway Access & Safety. 2. Car Top Access & Pit Egress 3. Proper Door Wedging (we leave the FEOK1, Door Wedge and Door Pick in the knockbox) 4. Emergency Evacuation Procedures & where they are located. Each elevator is different and each company has different processes for they type of elevator. I understand all elevators are designed to meet code, but that doesn't mean every elevator is the same or features are the same. A large number of elevator deaths and injuries per year involve firefighters. We are grateful and thankful for the job you do, we want you to be same and continue saving lives not giving your live.
That poor guy sweltering in full gear for this video... What's the temp in Ft Lauderdale while they are recording? Very interesting video, In depth information, well spoken, good quality.
Great presentation. Concise and well spoken. Thanks.

Great video. Last elevator emergency we had, we asked for maintenance and found out all of the maintenance staff were on the stuck elevator.
Thank you so much for sharing this training video. Awesome job explaining and showing everything.
I know these guys are pros, but that's got to be scary opening an elevator and looking at nothing but a hole in front of you.
… well ima take the stairs
Thank you so much. I work security and it was nice to see a video that can help me on the job with guests potentially getting stuck
And you will more than like not have a job. Yo you are not an elevator tech, maint man, and or firefighter.
Very informative indeed thank you FLFR Training Bureau

Why doesn’t the hoistway door stay open by itself (you have to prop it open).
TheLegoMan1996 it does stay open but it may close
I had the Israeli Prime Minister stuck in the lift and the fireman went to get him out but they couldn’t so I had to do it
