Iginla won’t be there in the late teens I don’t think. I’m thinking he goes 10-15

Isn’t he one of the youngest players in the draft? He looks and seems really young. What happens when he adds another 20 pounds and gets some man strength? I think he might be underrated and could end up being a steal. Could end up being a Brady Tkachuk like player.

As long as he’s ranked in the 1st round, some team will pick him higher than expected because of his name. We’ve seen that before. The Reinhart brothers were all picked high and only one panned out.

What do the Reinhardt's have to do with the Iginlas? None of there parents played NHL. Worked out for the Tkachuks.

@@Dustyy_nhl you guys are already anointing him a nhl. The minors are littered with 1st round picks. How many top scorers in junior end up on 3rd and 4th lines in the nhl

@@Paul-eb9qj most of them don't even make the ahl or get drafted, the highly touted juniors players are usually top 6 scorers that's why they get drafted high because they have potential

His dad was ranked the 24th best North American skater by Central Scouting when he was drafted 11th overall in 1995. So much for scouting rankings.

I wonder if he also weighed 180 when drafted.. imagine when this kid is 200 pounds or more and adds some man strength. Could be a monster. Kid still has a baby face and is one of the youngest players in the draft.
I think he might even be underrated and might be a steal.

I remember Jerome Iginla. Although I'm on the American side and didn't see him a lot. But I remember he was an elite player with tremendous skill that they always had to defend hard against. He would also drop the gloves and pummel his opponent if the need be. One of the more perfect examples of a power forward. Any team will do well if his son only has even half of Jerome's skill at the NHL level. I imagine half of the GM's in the league would be very happy to take that chance.

Having watched Jerome Iginla torch the Canucks over the years (yet I had always respected him 100% - his gesture in the last game of Trevor Linden is still fondly remembered), I wonder if Tij has inherited some of the intangibles his old man has... If he has, all pro scouting analysis aside, he would be an asset to the team that drafts him. If he is available in the late first round, I would definitely want to see the Canucks taking him.
