Sticky Fingers are my favourite band. Really cool eclectic mixture of reggae, psychedelic rock, surf rock, indie rock and R&B/hip-hop, turning it into something unique. They started that amazing Northern Beaches, Sydney sound that started that scene, with other bands coming up at the same time, DMAs, Lime Cordiale and Ocean Alley, all coming from Sydney, too. Some of my favourite songs from Sticky Fingers: 'Australia Street,' 'We Can Make The World Glow,' 'If You Go,' 'Gold Snafu,' 'Lazerhead,' 'Rum Rage' and 'Lekkerboy.' They don't know how to write a bad song, very rare these days! :)
My dad played me a stifi song when I was eleven. I have never gone a a day without listening to them since. My dad jokes all the time about how he just played that song for me because he thought I would like it and oh my god I’ve never been this loyal to a single band or artist. Their music literally cannot be played out and I feel so lucky to have been introduced to them❤️ sadly I can’t see a show bc I’m from the US but I will never love another band this much🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Sticky Fingers, Dope Lemon and Holy Holy (When the Storms Would come album) is my sound of summer here in Australia. For me it always brings me back to live local bands playing at pubs/clubs. There are a lot of amazing Australian Indie artists. Worth checking out all three.
Sticky fingers has some great live performances, I actually only listen to live versions of their songs apart from prob 2 songs. Liquor lip loaded gun live TV performance.
you should definitely listen to some more of their songs, this band has changed my life in ways I can't explain. I recommend listening to cyclone (the village session) on UA-cam, sun a good song and Dylan has such a good voice
rip sticky fingers. front man lived the rock star party life but couldn't contain his racist outbursts. music is timeless but their trajectory was hit.
Unfortunately they were false accusations, If you search Dylan frost dispossed gig you can see it was falsely accused of ‘shirt fronting the band’. That’s where the accusations started.
@@ctopd6621 a good example of the mis-information is that everyone labels dizza a transphobe and a homophobe, but seem to ignore the fact that he has 2 mothers, and according to one them he is a massive supporter of that community after being severely bullied for it as a kid.
@@ctopd6621 yea you’re exactly right. It hurts, they probably should’ve addressed the issues rather than staying silent. Would’ve been great to see them continue on as you said that early trajectory. Either way they’re still one of the most popular bands in Australia.
They did do a good version, but it's really hard to like them. They were mean to Thelma Plum, then abused triple j when they went to the UK... So many good bands in Aus, and yeah they're talented, just a shame they can't be kind.
Dylan Frosts voice is liquid gold! I always come back to this cover and Cyclone, just heavenly
Yes!!!
favourite band of all time and I’m seeing them live tonight
So jealous. In america need them to come over here.
@@SweatyPalms8Dylan and Paddy gotta get their visas cleared than they will be playing in US again

listen to their other like a version performance, Rum Rage
Bro!! You have to react to cyclone by sticky fingers! And pretty much all their music from a few years back. They have so many bangers 🤙🏼
Hey mate ocean alley would be a great band to react to, maybe their song ‘confidence’.
check out the Fleetwood Mac live version from the Midnight Special 1976
They sound good but it’s Fleetwood Mac’s version for me !
I used to say that nobody but Stevie Knicks could sing this song....but then I heard Dylan Frost sing it and was completely blown away!
Its a vibe!
You gotta do CYCLONE by Sticky Fingers 🎉❤❤❤
Sticky Fingers are Legends. Put a poster of those boys up next to Kobe :)
I actually prefer many "Like a Version" songs to the originals - my favourite is Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" covered by San Cisco.
So strange watching the actors from my favourite Sticky Fingers song - Gold SNAFU - singing Rhiannon.
Hey Dom, still waiting on mine! Been 5 weeks mate! Regards, Dan
Ocean alley - like a version covering pink Floyd! Please mate just subscribed

@@RocketRA621H it really doesn't matter. there was a large hit to their trajectory.
maybe they and he can recover? their early momentum was ruined.

Tbh this band have a bunch of allegations and some proven so i'll skip this one.

Gotta get all the facts before you call them out for “abusing” a radio company that didn’t treat them fairly.
