Good to see you back out at them again james, some chucky thornies for your efforts, hopefully cod will turn up for you soon, we r struggling here on the river mersey but hoping this cold snaps will bring them in. Hopefully we dont have to wait another year for the 2nd episode 😁 tight lines bud 👍🎣
Hahaha , ah im going to try commit to the youtube now again. Ive been up the walls this year focusing on other things instead of the channel. Im making it a mission to try do a video every 2 weeks if possible. Ya the Cod havent really shown up here yet either. Few being caught but nothing like it should be . Im also hoping this cold snap with bring them in. Saying that where ill be fishing for the Cod for the winter isnt really a known Cod spot. They do turn up here but no where in the numbers they do on the south east but everyone loves a trier haha
I have fished Kilteery many times in the Winter and never seen a cod. It would be nice to know that they are around in the estuary. Nice thornies. Around Glin at low water is a good spot for the rays.
Ya i think Kilteery might be a bit too far up but then again Im not sure. Im hoping to try areas that hold food so the likes of Glin down where theres lots of weed and rock will hold plenty of crab etc Ya glin is always a good spot for the rays.Nice easy fishing there too
Ah Man I wish I was only one county over. Based in Limerick these days so am bit further. Would cost an arm and a leg driving up and down to the south east trying for cod, hence the cod mission in the shannon this year. Mud hole is a good spot. Should be some cod turning up there now
@@IrishAnglingAdventures costs an arm and a leg to even start the car these days haha. Only fished it Saturday night, no cod yet but it's throwing up nice whiting, bass and even the trout were taking lug and peeler
Ah sure can't really complain so. I had a comp in Ballywilling near garryvoe Saturday night. 3 dogs and one cod caught in the whole comp with 9 lads fishing so you did better than all of us
@@IrishAnglingAdventures I get codling..upto 12 inches ..but not bigger..I live in courtmacsherry..West Cork..tide turned so heading off to a spot we used get larger ones 20 yrs ago..we will see..non last night..might try kinsale bridge next weekend..Whiting are there..fingers crossed and thanks for the informative videos..cheers. Jeremy
Nice thornies there man. Have you ever caught any Codling from the Shannon previously down there? Do you expect to get some Or is this series a searching to see if there are any there type of series? Looking forward to seeing the next episodes. All the best
Ya have had cod over the years but its always been while fishing for something else really. Some spots produce better than other but again you cant say im going to catch one tonight. Going to just try focus on them to see if I can figure anything out
So far weather and Christmas has all been against me. Judging by the weather for the next week it will be a fair few days before getting out again unfortunately
Well done , two very nice fish 👍

They were nice rays bud, fair play. I know you're only the next county over but it's mad to here the mudhole mentioned, that's my local spot

Anything is better than a blank
Really enjoyed that..my quest for cod local to me goes on...cheers
It can be a pain to find them if they arent being concentrated in an area like they do in youghal or waterford really

@@westcorkfisher.3763 As far as Im aware the bandon river gets a run of cod so you should try kinsale
