I’m mind blown that I never noticed how because the game either had Din or Nayru, THAT game had either difficult bosses or a lot of puzzles. Referencing the triforces of power or wisdom. I WAS SHOOK THAT IT TOOK 20 years for me to realize that. THANK YOU!
My favourite Zelda companion is Tatl. I love how she starts out as your enemy, forms an uneasy partnership with you and ends the game as your legitimate friend. By far the best arc of any Zelda companion. I also like that she's got a bit of an attitude and isn't afraid to give Link shit. Way more personality than Navi. If you're dreading the original NES Zelda, I'd recommend you check out "BS Zelda the Third Quest". It's basically a slight tweak to a Japan-only SNES remake of the original Zelda. This is great. You noted a lot of things that I never noticed when I've played these games (I've played them through 3 or 4 times each, all linked). I love Zelda 1, but it was my first Zelda game, so that's probably why. I didn't beat Zelda 2 until I was an adult and it took me a month or so with a lot of grinding and a lot of trial and error (and math) strategizing just to make it to the final boss. Spirit Tracks caused a lot less rage. And I'm a Midna fan. Not a super cool answer, but always loved her.
Listening to the skull dungeon soundtrack makes me realize how bummed out I was from the lack of music in BoTW. Capcom went all out in putting original music tracks for each dungeon. Not like Nintendo with there great overworld themes and singular, grating rather mundane track they layed over every temple in Link to the Past. My favorite Zelda companion is hard to pick because there are so many great ones. Navi's "Listen!" and "Link!" still give me nostalgia. Midna was also great with a cheeky attitude and a story arc that paid off in the end. But my favorite would have to be The King of Red Lions. He was kind and gave Link advice on his quest, and finding out his true identity was a treat. Overall, his personal story was a sad one - a King who lost his kingdom, but he was a great friend in the end. Plus, he let you navigate the world. It's like if Epona could talk.
Botw actually has a beautiful soundtrack. I'd recommend you listen to Divine beast vah ruta and divine beast vah medoh's themes. Those are my favorites. Kasses songs are also beautiful. YES! Finally! So glad you did it! And your analysis is great! I played those games so many times and never understood why i couldn't get dimitri or the differences in style (combat or reflexion) of the two games. As for a companion, I really like dimitri, but liked the strong character of Taya.

Guuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrllll your lip colour idea is highly fitting for this video! My favourite Zelda companion would have to be Midna. While she may be rude to link at first, she becomes kinder later and is intensely mysterious as she is a unique race to the Zelda series.
Superb review as always :3 I actually forgot these games existed, even though I played Ages in the past *wink* *wink* I'll definitely be picking these up real soon. As for my favorite Zelda companion, I would have to go with Midna. I love her attitude and story, and she even helps you fight at times or actively stands against the villain. And Midna's Lament is one of my favorite Zelda soundtracks.
I am so glad I found this video. I have played through Ocarina of Time (again), and Link's Awakening the last few weeks. At the moment I am playing Link to the Past. These are definitely next on the list. I've had them on my 3DS for a while but just never played them. You go me super excited.
your really underrated! as a mixraced person, seeing someone else of colour and with the same hair type as me and seeming to love zelda (coincidence) is quite refreshing because you don’t normally see zelda fans that are of darker skin.
Played this game too many years ago to remember but thanks for talking about the ring system, it really takes the game above and beyond. One tip, use the quick boots after running into Maple and you can gank her for everything she's worth.
The Little Sonic They are super underrated! Gah! Curse you Midna lovers! On another note, your avi is super fucking cute and I see you supporting me everywhere and I just wanna say thank you!! ^.^
I've just played through both games and I have to say that while Seasons is better than I remembered, Ages is worse because of a few things that brought it down in my opinion: - Holodrum is much easier to navigate than Labrynna, as the latter makes it a chore to go back to some places on the map. Also, Holodrum is more memorable IMO due to some places on the main map as well as Subrosia - Seasons has overall better pacing, with more action and less boring dungeons, especially those on Ages with water gimmicks. Also, between the dungeons Ages seems to be way more cryptic to progress while Seasons has only a few of those instances, if any - Some rings obtainable only on Ages have terribly frustrating methods to get them, like those based on mini games (for example the pretty low chance to get Light Ring L-2 on the shooting gallery or the BROKEN AS HELL Goron dance mini game which require a perfect session on the highest difficulty for the Bomber's Ring) -The season mechanic was and still is more of a novelty than the time mechanic, which was explored on Oot, MM and many other games in general. Besides, the animation of Link playing the Harp of Ages is much longer than needed, while changing seasons is relatively quick - Items exclusive to Seasons like the Cape of Roc, Boomerang L-2, and Magnetic Gloves are way cooler and useful than the Power Glove (which is used exacly in the same way the Power Bracelet is and is useful only in the last dungeon) and the Cane of Somaria That said, both are great games, and are way better if played/linked together. I actually like them more than I like Link's Awakening.
Well my biggest con was mostly about the animal companions. I just used them far the parts where I needed too and most of them time you are just better off on your own. On the other hand I mastered the goron dance in ages and funnily enough it never gives me trouble. Thanks for reviewing these games and through that my first true love in gaming. Oracle of ages
Pelvic Gaming You're welcome! I've watched 4 or 5 videos now and am shocked I haven't heard of you before. You've got quality content and great presentation. I also dig your confidence level. Lol Keep it up! This channel needs more attention!
These games are in my top ten Zeldas. They've got big busy overworlds and great humor. I'd love em more if it weren't for their awful mandatory mini-games and I wasn't crazy about most of the dungeons. X(
You didn’t mention it but maybe it was implied but: the 9th link dungeon is different depending on which game you completed first. The Ages version (unlocked by doing Seasons first) has some of the best puzzles in the series imo. The oracles games are so wonderful I wish they had more representation in Hyrule Warriors. As for companions, I’m partial to Ezlo and Moosh. Ezlo is a lot of fun and I like his attitude and Moosh just… gets me.
Another great video. The Oracle games and Wind Waker are the only Zelda games that I started but didn't finish. Your review definitely makes me want to go back and finish them. I love how you mentioned One Piece, even though you keep putting it on the back burner.

I do own both oracle of ages and oracle of seasons so I've been meaning to give the games a try and I do hear they are some of the better portable zelda games out there. It's nice to hear that they were excellent experiences for you though.
Maybe if we are lucky we will get a remake of these like links awakening but they can just put both in one game so we don't have to buy 2. It's not like they are that long really
My favourite Zelda companion has to be the Chain Chomp from Link's Awakening! Or Marin also from that game (I'm a bit partial to it). As for Spirit Tracks, I really don't think it's that bad, in fact, I really enjoy it! The real problem with it is that it has touch controls, and that it gets a bit repetitive with you having to visit the same temple multiple times. It also has one of the best companions in all Zelda games, Zelda herself.
after having a replay of oracles i was surprised how much they deliver despite taking me a week to get everything. the biggest low point is the rng from collecting all the rings and the maple heart piece. also not a fan of how linear they are but the overworlds and dungeons are some of the best in the series.
I didn’t get to play the Oracle games but I remember loving to watch my brother play Ages. Navi is definitely best companion, with Tatl and Midna a close second. You should play Zelda 1 and 2 at some point. I think you’ll enjoy them. Second game is hard as hell.
Let's be honest here, people are so paranoid about DLC and games being sold incomplete these days, that if Nintendo wanted to make like a pair of games where you had to buy two separate entries to get the full experience everybody would be like: "Naaah, Nintendo' is trying to scam us!!!! Boycott this shit right now!!!" Their asses would be cooked to say the least. XD
You know... I played one of these once, got stuck and gave up lmao. I don't even remember which one it was. I suck. I should go back and try them again, but I'm really hoping that they get a rerelease of the treatment Link's Awakening got on Switch. Great vid and great review!!!
Lol. The original 2 Zeldas are difficult, but I'm sure you'll appreciate how it all started. In regards to the partners, Tatl had personality but I'd say Midna. She helped out, had her own motives and attitude and turned out to be the sexiest Zelda character. And when she changed she was less abrasive, more sure of herself, accomplished. Also the King of Red Lions was cool everytime he telepathically said "Hey" lol
Link's Awakening was sort of an "Alice in Wonderland," ethereal dreamworld interpretation of Zelda, whereas the Oracles games have more of a fairy tale feel (in an epic way) than any others. I guess I say that mainly because of the oracles themselves. And I didn't notice until now that they're two of the actual goddesses of Zelda lore; that's pretty cool. Even in Greek mythology, it's rare that the gods actually personally interact with the hero; let alone divine incarnations of abstract concepts as lofty as time & seasons. -- I remember really enjoying the gameplay and environments of seasons more than ages (and I liked that game's oracle the most), but ages definitely had way more interesting character development & story.
I acknowledge it being a cool idea but I can't help that some part of me was still disappointed. There was something lackluster about gaining an item you already have even if it did offer new ways to play.
This is probably the first time I've seen your content and I already love it! Plus, the Afro hair is an awesome bonus because we don't often see Zelda reviewers with that hairstyle. ^^
Even though I’m a dude, I appreciated the uniqueness of the dual lipstick. Never been a fan of makeup in general; but I can appreciate it in an artistic outlet. You look like twinrova lol
these are my second favorite 2D Zelda, my first being Link to the Past. Its just SO different than any other Zelda game. Great review, totally made me want to play them again :)
Jabu Jabu's belly is probably the hardest Zelda dungeon in terms of puzzles--out of all Zeldas. Spent a whole night trying to get through it. Screw OoA, not a fan of that one. OoS is decent enough, but they still feel like elaborate Link's Awakening ROM-hacks to me (which they kinda are, since they're not made by Nintendo).
Zelda 1 and 2 are great for there time but I understand if they seem too old fashioned. Zelda 1 aged better than Zelda 2. Spirit Tracks though is my least favorite Zelda mostly because the flute was glitched there was this one part near the end of the game where I had to use the flute to play a song and i played it countless times and it never worked I gave up on the game for years then learned of a way to cheat past playing that song and then finally beat it. I feel like Nintendo didnt play test that game well enough. Also I'm not a huge fan of the train stuff either.
There was originally going to be 3 of these, I forget why the decreased them to 2, but yeah. Poor Goddess of Courage got Screwed. Also Midna, sassy but not annoying.
Great review as always, Pelvic! As for the favorite companion, I'm also on the Navi or Ezlo camp, anyone but Fi! I know my battery is low, tell me about this boss, already!!!
Thank you!! And honestly I forgot...um...I use a t shirt site called day of the shirt. It takes all the shirts from different nerd sites and has them in one place
I think you'd be surprised at how enjoyable Zelda 1 can be. The older graphics don't get in the way as you can clearly tell what everything is. Zelda 2 can be harder to get into, but if you stick with it, you'll get the hang of it and enjoy it. That game's difficulty is overly exagerated these days. I think you'd love the music in Zelda 2, especially the palaces' theme.
There's only one way to see if I'd enjoy it or not, and that is to play it...which I don't see happening in the near future. Same with Zelda 2. >.>;; Maybe one day...maybe one day...
Haven’t played video games in like 10 years or more I think I’ll have to fuck with these just not much of a fan of this new bullshit they got out now days. Very good review you’ve just awoken my inner nerd 😂😂😂

She helped out, had her own motives and attitude and turned out to be the sexiest Zelda character. And when she changed she was less abrasive, more sure of herself, accomplished. Also the King of Red Lions was cool everytime he telepathically said "Hey" lol
Thanks for the review! Keep up the great work! Have a beautiful day!

I remember really enjoying the gameplay and environments of seasons more than ages (and I liked that game's oracle the most), but ages definitely had way more interesting character development & story.
The double clawshot was cool tho cause it still offered more puzzle complexities with having to Spiderman across cazums and offer unique veiw points.
I acknowledge it being a cool idea but I can't help that some part of me was still disappointed. There was something lackluster about gaining an item you already have even if it did offer new ways to play.
@@PelvicGaming definitely agree, thats also how I felt. I was just defending a beloved item. I still feel that disappointment..
LOOOOve the music over 1:50 =)
This is probably the first time I've seen your content and I already love it! Plus, the Afro hair is an awesome bonus because we don't often see Zelda reviewers with that hairstyle. ^^
Thank you!
Oracle of ages is my favorite Zelda game
Favorite companion? I was told it was dangerous to go alone and was given a sword... so... a wooden sword. That was the only companion I got
I approve of the pun!
They deserve a remake
This was a wonderful review
Also your hair is fantastic!
Thanks!
I love both games
Zelda 1 and 2 are great for there time but I understand if they seem too old fashioned. Zelda 1 aged better than Zelda 2. Spirit Tracks though is my least favorite Zelda mostly because the flute was glitched there was this one part near the end of the game where I had to use the flute to play a song and i played it countless times and it never worked I gave up on the game for years then learned of a way to cheat past playing that song and then finally beat it. I feel like Nintendo didnt play test that game well enough. Also I'm not a huge fan of the train stuff either.
Haven’t got a chance to play these yet! I’m hoping during this 35th Zelda year we get the links awakening style remake of them for switch!
I think I’m at the appropriate age(40) and in the appropriate Season(Winter) to start these game on the 3DS for the first time.
i love your makeup! and this video was fun to watch.
The two games have different witches. One is called Maple, the other Syrup.
There was originally going to be 3 of these, I forget why the decreased them to 2, but yeah.
Poor Goddess of Courage got Screwed.
Also Midna, sassy but not annoying.
Late to the party, but fi and midna are my favs. Midna cuz she was infuriatingly mean but grew on me in a big way, and fi honestly cuz shes pretty
Ayeeeee, I just subbed and I love your content! More reviews please!
Thank you so much! And no worries more are on the way!
You deserve many more subs, keep it up!
No joke im literally watching this playing Ages on my MM 3ds
Ayyyy nice!
Weird, I always pronounced Lynna "Lin-uh" instead of "Lin-e-uh". Awesome video as always!
Companion-wise, I’m partial to Midna from Twilight Princess, given her depth of character.
So helpful, thanks!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
First second with her hand ! 🤘all best game
OMG THE LIPS!
Love your review!
Great review as always, Pelvic! As for the favorite companion, I'm also on the Navi or Ezlo camp, anyone but Fi! I know my battery is low, tell me about this boss, already!!!
Best Zelda companion is Midna, hands down
Great review, I love the Oracle games!
Also, where did you get that Oracle themed Triforce shirt??
Thank you!! And honestly I forgot...um...I use a t shirt site called day of the shirt. It takes all the shirts from different nerd sites and has them in one place
Excellent video
Love the hair
Cool lipstick.
Actually many reviewers neglect speaking about the soundtrack of games. Glad you don't
Thank you! :)
There WAS to be a third game with Farore, but it was cut out
I love your video! Thanks☺️
Thanks for watching!
Great vídeo!
