I bought one 2 years ago and have over 3,000 miles on it. I’ve changed the chain once, replaced the rear tire, and the brake pads once. Other than that it runs the same as it did brand new! Best purchase ever!

You should have asked him when will Stromer make a center drive motor? I love the wide downtube, but at $4000. bucks, I'd go for a Bosch system, even with its lower wattage.

We did talk about this, and for Stromer, the hub motor is the only way to go in order to get the type of ride feel that they are looking to deliver. Once you ride an ST2 you'll understand why they went with a hub motor. While mid-motors have a lot of benefits, you couldn't build a bike like the ST2 with one.
