Newer Otis Series 4 Traction High-Rise Elevators at Marriott Marquis in Downtown Houston, TX.

Video Recorded on October 12, 2022: Unlike the low-rise elevators, these are Otis Skyrise traction elevators, and they go a bit faster than the Otis Gen2 MRL elevators. This also include an AMAZING VIEW of the Texas lazy river from the top floor!! :D Installed in 2016.

These are really nice elevators! That Texas shaped lazy River looks really cool and unique! I like external/internal chimes and voice on these too!

Surprised why there’s no EZ on the floor indicator indicating express zone on these elevators. I’ve heard of other Otis elevators that display EZ for express zone but I’m surprised why these ones don’t.

They are nice elevators. The motors are questionably EPIC.
to me, just a teeny-tiny slow. Are these like 500 FPM or something for 28 floors?

These are gen2 not skyrise. Skyrise is for more than 28 floors. This elevator only serves 17 floors, so it’s a gen2.

You commented on the wrong video. These are clearly the high-rise elevators serving all 28 floors. You’re referring to the low-rise elevators that are 17 floors.

@@JimLiElevators count the number of buttons. There are 17 buttons. It skips floors 7-17 those floors aren’t counted.

Floors 7-17 are literally long distance in between each other. There are actually 16 floor buttons.

@@hilo2-est3-elevJim is right. The reason floors 7-17 aren’t listed is because those floors are part of the Express zone. The High Rise elevators bypass that so therefore they are there, just not being served. So yeah
