I still can't believe they modernized them completely. I remember your first full HD take and how you reacted to the Westy already being modded. I'd say, the mod is not that bad in general, at least there's no more rumbling issues like the Westy had before the mod. Heck, the mod doesn't look that great at the same imo, I'm glad you got the parts for the Dover.
Hey Jim, really enjoyed the premiere earlier tonight! The completion of this extensive elevator modernization after 4 years came out great! I really like the cab designs, voice, the light up green and red sensors, new external chimes, and the epic motors too! I’m going to miss the former 1981 Westinghouse, especially the 1983 Dover elevator too. But I’m glad you were able to retrieve the parts from the Dover, with the Smartrise elevator company, during their process in modernization in 2018! Great video as always too man!
I know that the mod looks boring and generic from what the elevators used to be, but I actually like the Epic Motor from the elevator that used to be a Dover. Still remember watching your videos when both elevator where original, and during the modding process (Dover Traditional and Westinghouse AE).
The Dover elevator mod is kinda nice, while the Westinghouse elevator mod is okay I guess. But I'm glad you were able to save the parts from the old Dover. I like them better when they were original, and that moter in the modded Dover elevator sounds a lot better than I expected.
pretty nice mod, but I am a bit disappointed with the removal of the brass... the conventional stainless steel doesn't fit as nicely as the brass once did. I do like the mod itself personally. the voice announcements sound a little weird though
@@JimLiElevators Thank you. He really did. Also, I miss the old elevators, but the modernization seems better than the last time you filmed, which was bouncy and clanky. Better maintained now I guess
I won't say its the greatest mod. At least you got some parts of the elevators. I'm not sure why the lantern is so far away with the right elevator. I like the left elevator better
Tbh if I am being honest. Im not a fan of Hydros unless they have cool motors or something interesting about them. Tractions I have seen to be more reliable, and they run better overall. Anyways, i think this completed mod is interesting to say the least, but the originals will always be missed
Those are 3D door sensors. Green means the doors are either opening or already open, whereas flashing red means the doors are closing telling you to please stand clear.
Meh, I'm not impressed by this mod. It's so boring, cheap looking and the silver is very out of place. If they wanted to modernize the elevators, they should've gone with one of the bigger elevator company's like thysenkrupp or otis. Also, I think we got an epic Phone fail.
@@ElevatorsInternational yeah, It's holding up pretty well surprisingly given the fact the mod is a couple years old now. It must've been updated at some point since there's chimes and voices now.
At first I thought they were MAD fixtures when they first got modded, but these are the same fixtures as the Cleveland Hopkins Aiport elevator, also I hate that voice to be honest
Finally! Let's see how they run now!

I remember this two elevator Westinghouse Dover. Jim I love your videos!
I have been waiting for this video for a while now. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
That's cool that it got the talking version of the Janus sensors. They're neat
Yeah, Me too! i want to see it.
You have finally returned to the 15200 Sugar Land building, where the elevators were modded in 2018. What a big change!
Finally! These elevators are new!
Oh nice a premiere
Your new camera is waaay better.
I never ridden in a SmartRise elevator before and yes I do remember these elevators back in 2018 I bet those elevators were installed in 2018
wuu huu I was waiting so long for the smartrise video😊I am an elevator enthusiast too😊😊😊😊😊

Very nice Hydraulic Elevator
I see they've redone the metalwork on the Dover's door frames, interesting they didn't do that during the mod
I miss it. I remember that last 2018 video.
I’m happy you filmed these again good job

I thought they were gonna be Schindler 6400 Elevators. Seems like they are SmartRise Elevators.
6400 is traction, HXpress would sound better
back to your childhood elevator huh? nice
I like the old lifts
i like the westinghouse and the dover elevator
You uploaded this on my Brother's bday!
Hope your borther had a wonderful birthday!
@@JimLiElevators Thank you. He really did. Also, I miss the old elevators, but the modernization seems better than the last time you filmed, which was bouncy and clanky. Better maintained now I guess
By the way, Sorry for missing the premier. I was busy with school work at the time
It’s okay, Hailey. Nothing is mandatory for you other than finishing school first before watching this. But thank you so much for watching anyways!
Why are these elevators so tall? They’re massive
Timestamps 0:57, 1:19, 1:42, 2:56, 3:31, 4:07, 4:41, and 5:21: Those announcements sound like something that would be used on a train. 😂

These elevators are probably otis series 2 with a similar version of a kind of ptl fixture.

Hi Jim what is those green and red staff on the door
Those are 3D door sensors. Green means the doors are either opening or already open, whereas flashing red means the doors are closing telling you to please stand clear.
Even the wood got moded along with the elevator with grey color

That’s true. It’s generic, but at least it’s not bad anymore, compared to the beginning stages of Smartrise’s mod process.
@@ElevatorsInternational yeah, It's holding up pretty well surprisingly given the fact the mod is a couple years old now. It must've been updated at some point since there's chimes and voices now.
What does MAD fixtures mean
It's just the name of the stainless-steel vandal-resistant fixture (the halo version of it).
I think motor is better on bigger cab elevator it’s because the elevator is big I guess
Any elevator can use any motor no matter loud or not.
@@JimLiElevators so you mean exact same motor
These are actually made by MAD
They look almost kinda alike, but these fixtures fuck and press way differently from MAD.
@@JimLiElevatorsthese are modular fixtures so it got modernized by smarties but it is actually modular
Me toooo
It’s 2023 not 2022
This was filmed last year ago from today.
Oh
@@arielarocho4080 Yes, the date is in the description. Jim always puts the dates of filming elevators down there generally.

Way to take something good and modernize it with cheap junk.
