- Video Recorded on October 12, 2022: This will be a take on the Otis elevators at the Marriott Marquis Hotel that opened in late 2016. I came here to do a much better/updated/replacement take on both these elevators and the high-rise ones because my first video of them did not perform well. For personal reasons, I don't want to talk about what happened, so let's just get on with this video. Anyways, these are a whole set of Otis Gen2 MRL traction elevators. I do apologize for pressing the 16th floor during the first ride because I did not know there was a 17th floor as I haven't been back here in several ages since the first time, and I was also exhausted when filming this video because I've had a long day in school before coming downtown. Installed in 2016.

I filmed these back in January 2020 and haven't been back here since. I'll be planning on revisiting within the next 3 months.
I was going to say is 17 locked? But then you just didn't notice the button for the 17th floor.
I’ve actually gotten stuck in these before.
Yeah, I've heard lots of people got stuck in one of these. I hope are alright now.
BTW, at 1:11 when the gen2s sound like that, I think it just needs to be greased. Nothing is wrong with the elevator, but I am guessing the belts that move the elevator up and down are making that friction sound
I thought Gen2s don't need any lubricant material or anything
I’m pretty sure these are OTIS Series 7 Elevators according to the elevator community.
That was long time ago. I realized now that there is no such thing as Series 7.
@@JimLiElevators oh really wow I didn’t know that.
iPhone what are film at
iPhone 12 Pro Max.
this is why modern OTIS quality for installs are down the drain these days. M2/M4 mods aren't that bad, but not all are great either
