Great video! Thanks for the the tips on how to get these proportioning valves apart. I'm struggling to remove the stem. I'll use the grease gun method that was shown. I'm currently working to disassemble a Kelsey-Hayes 86652 Combination Valve. Where do you purchase the replacement parts to rebuild these? What chemical did you use to clean the inside of the valve body to remove any rust/grime, or did you use just plain brake fluid? It appears the exterior was sandblasted? My proportioning valve is almost 50 years old and has never been dissembled. Please share on how you cleaned this valve. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing man, will be sending you the valve from my van soon
You didn't show how you removed the 'shuttle' or the brake line seats?! This would help a lot.
FYI - You should only use o-rings made from Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) so the brake fluid doesn't damage them.
that is all we use

How did you get the shuttle valve out? Thanks!
Mine doesn't have the pin on the end, it has a blocked off part, I can't access the metering valve. Any idea how I would go about rebuilding it then?
You rebuild brake proportion valves?
WHEN YOU PUT THE HAT IN WITH THE PIECE YOU SAID SHOULD MOVE I ORDERED ONE AND THE PIN IS STUCK WHAT CAN I DO TO GET IT TO MOVE LIKE YOU DID.
What do you charge to do this?
all depends on valve type
HOW DO YOU GET THAT PIN UNSTUCK I'M HAVING TROUBLE WITH ONE I ORDERED.
Which pin?
At 22:27 of the video how did you get the pin to loosen up.
You said it didn't move now it moves.. taking about the pin. Do you put some lube on it
I BELIEVE IT'S TO RESET THE PROPORTION VALVE. THE PIN YOU GRABBED WITH THE NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS
Can you use pb blaster to loosen up that pin.
Machined?
Do you rebuild these if I sent you mine
yes
What's the address I can ship it to
308 Cambridge Lane Lititz pa 17543
Is there a number I can call you I have a few questions I'd like to ask you with this new valve I have.
