Looking at the configurator, the JBL system is available on the non-hybrid LE. Configured as the non-hybrid LE with no options other than the package including the JBL system, it's a $29,280 car, including delivery. Pretty good deal considering this is an SUV! I also really appreciate seeing the premium sound available without having to step up to the top trim -- It's nice to not have to pay for a hundred bells and whistles you won't use just for good speakers.
Toyota does a very interesting thing with these JBL systems. the one on the 2019 Camry sound quite bad but is full of big fun bass. also going from a 3 way town to a single full range is a big jump. I feel a rear tweeter could be used
he said the mdx wasn't very good. only a tier. personally it blows ELS out of the water and sounds absolutely amazing. the EX90 sound bar seems very interesting and I hope to run independent tests
A little late to be asking about a 2024 model, but is there a "dark" mode for the display? Perhaps that's an option but it defaults to light. I suppose it may also be light sensitive and switch.
It seems this system is different for each vehicle. This 9 speaker system is good in the rav4 and the Corolla cross, but not so good in the Camry and the Corolla.
Mark levinsons in my experience are warmer and very bass heavy. It sounds good but objectively not as balanced as some of the b&w and Harman systems. (Ik mark levinson is owned by Harman but it doesn’t mean they can’t have different sound signatures)
I think you should do ratios out of 10 or 20. because these tests indicate that a JBL in a corolla cross is almost as good as the fully upgraded Bang&Olufsen in the Audi S8. I feel like we need more fine tuned ratings. I also feel like you have a slight bias against certain cars/brands. rating BMWs harman kardon in the 4 series an S tier and the A8 only A tier. especially when the mids are disturbed by the need for the midrange drivers to play the mid bass because of the lack of a mid bass specific driver.
B+ for a corolla cross? A couple of years ago you gave the Lexus ES base sound system a B, is this one really as good, or better for a much cheaper price?
I love your reviews, please don't ever stop
As a current Toyota employee, the only JBL system I genuinely like is the one in the Tundra/Sequoia.

I absolutely agree. And thanks for sleuthing!
Nice to see a review of the nightshade. Definitely the model I'd be most interested in.

Are you guys going to do a sound test on the ex90 and what do you think of the new sound system in the Acura mdx

How would this compare to the Civic Bose system?
Bose can’t compare to JBL in my opinion I’ve had both systems
loveeee some good mirror shaking action😎

Dear Friend thank you for your review. Can you please write which JBL products you are using in this system?
do a ford crown vic sound system review
I always have low expectations of the Toyota JBL systems, so this one surprised me.

Can I ask why? Looking to getting a cross hybrid and want to get jbl speakers as i appreciate my music/audio.
Call this the RAV-3
Have you reviewed the Lexus with a 17-speaker Mark Levinson system?
Which model Lexus?
@@DailyMotorSound I believe it is the 2024 IS500

Does the JBL system have HD radio

Can you please try the new camry sound system
Yup! Coming in a few weeks

Better for a much cheaper price. Although if I remember correctly, that Lexus system really wasn't impressive
@@DailyMotorSound Gotcha!
I feel like this is THE most NPC car you can buy, next to the Rav4.
I hate the hybrids grill.
🤤🤤🤤
