I saw them sing twice in the early & mid eighties! They put on a great show! It was exciting for me because when I grew up in the sixties Johnny Cash & June were on the turntable playing more than just about anyone else except for maybe Hank Williams Sr.
I am a fan of both of them but I particularly liked to hear them sing together and the person who wrote that these two still had it in their 60’s, I could not agree more. I still enjoy hearing either one sing, but together they were even more special.
I believe you are right friend. This was the first time I really witnessed that. She generally was content looking after her man and staying away from the limelight so to speak.
One could place an argument that the Carter family not only provided the Grand Ole Opry (am I spelling it wrong) its beginnings but laid the foundation for singers and songwriters to this day. What do we need to say about the “Man in Black”, Johnny Cash? His music is known worldwide and with June sweet music was made 🎼.
They blew HOLLYWOOD into the dust bowl...what a story that gives GOD ALL GLORY FROM day one. Their interview with Johnny Carson exceeds hilarious. Roseanne's eulogy is of utmost reverence.
wether she wrote it or not she wrote another one of my favroites that i like called ring of fire. i think her and johnny were met to be together. it's so sad that they died.
"Jackson" is a song written in 1963 by Billy Edd Wheeler and Jerry Leiber. It was recorded in 1963 by the Kingston Trio, Wheeler and Flatt and Scruggs. It achieved its most notable popularity with two 1967 releases: a country hit single by Johnny Cash and June Carter, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Country Singles chart, and a pop hit single by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood, which reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 39 on Easy Listening.
alaskax59 remember she was quite older in this , and Reese took 6 months of singing lessons.. and june was more of a legend and alway be more than an actor..

61 and 64 years old! Wow, they still had it!

It's from a special program that aired on PBS in 1993. I don't think it's available to purchase...
June Carter - ideał kobiety, no i ten głos...
Lovely!!!
Thank you!
Yes they love one another. To bad they had to pass away
Marion Hudson - it’s appointed by God we all have to die!!!
They did but the fact that he passed six months after. His heart couldn't take it on top of his health
Yes they passed okay from a ding body to an eternal glory😊
Where did they pass to. ...their spirit is eternal glory and we're blessed today by it .

I was there and they were amazing and electrifying! Do you happen to have video of Mary Chapin Carpenter's performance?
June Carter did not write Jackson, she wrote ‘Ring of Fire’ sung before - not on this clip.
Anita Carter, her sister, wrote Ring of Fire.

@TheGran8 I know :)
OMG WAS THAT WALDO IN THE CROWD?!?!??!?
:o
Is she throwing her voice. Cutr
Cute
No that's how she sang.
Ich mag es nicht, wenn Carter so gurgelt beim Singen.
Really not a June fan, that voice only belonged in a few songs
Band lost the beat
God I hate how June Carter sang, that bloody growl drives me nuts.
the voice of June is.. good but I like more reese witherspoon in Walk the line
alaskax59 remember she was quite older in this , and Reese took 6 months of singing lessons.. and june was more of a legend and alway be more than an actor..
If it was not for June Carter, there would be no Reece Witherspoon!
I remember a time when June would lie to cops and steal for cash when he was on a bender but no matter what she stuck by him
