I love Johnny Cash more than ever since I read his first wife’s book titled I walk the line. This man is so deep you can’t imagine she put all of Johnny‘s letters to her in her book. Vivian.(Johnny’s first wife.) Was able to be with him for a while after June died, and she asked him if he would be OK if she wrote a book about their life. Johnny said., if anyone’s story should be told it should be yours, Vivian. Vivian got really happy and she said to Johnny, “oh, I could just kiss you”. Johnny said, “well I’m right here.” This is a beautiful book. Really great read. it let me know who the real Johnny Cash is. This man is real, and I love him more than ever now.

The one thing Ive always loved about John was the fact that he was close to God and always spoke the truth. Even in his hardest times he prayed and God heard him . Miss him , June and WS and Joyce profoundly. I hope and pray their all with Jesus looking down on me. On all of us .

I spent 13 years trying to get that feeling I got the first several weeks on Pain meds after a surgery. I was slow at figuring out that it just isn’t possible. 2-1/2 years and counting, so far it seems possible to leave them behind.

That's an extremely common thing for people who lived the way he did. It gets to be where you don't know which end is up and it ain't the drugs that does it.. it's the absence of them. If you've never occupied that particular kind of headspace for a prolonged period of time it's extremely difficult to grasp how low it can really go.
