In Japanese religious beliefs, yokai and gods (神) are often regarded as essentially the same thing. If it is a threat from the human standpoint, we call it yokai, and if it helps human, we call it god. However both yokai and kami are concepts that originated from respect for a force of powerful nature that is beyond human power to do anything about it. I think this idea was born in a land of many natural disasters such as numerous active volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, heavy snowfalls, and typhoons. There’s nothing human beings can do in the face of truly terrifying natural forces. Nature nourishes human life but it also takes it away. Therefore we must live together in awe of and respect for nature.
I am so delighted a place like this exists. I devoted my life to study and work with yokai. When I finally save up enough for my Kansai trip, you better believe this place was already on my visit list. While I am in Hyogo I'll also visit Himeji Castle and see Osakabehime's shrine within and Okiku's Well
Subtle introduction and acceptance of demons and their appearance. Art? Ok, yes you can see gothic demon gargoyles on churches, castles and architecture but that doesn’t soften their representation of raison d’être.
Ah yes playing chess with a kappa is poggers

I believe that Kappa and the man are playing Shogi, judging by the shape of the pieces.
I just want to let you know how much I appreciate your making these videos because they can improve our lives and our relationships. 💕

I'm so glad there are still spiritual people in the world (if not in N. America, Europe, or the Middle East).
There is some in north America but you will almost never see them taken Seriously because of all the fakes.

Narrator is racist
Bruh htf is the narrator racist?
How so exactly? Was it the slightly off pronunciation of Japanese?
'Cause it sounded to me like he really was trying his best with the words.
