I really loved this game. It was one of the best racing experiences in my PSX. The only one MAJOR problem it had was that there was no single race mode where to race all the cars you've earned. So, the game was basically playing the same tournament over and over 'till you have all the cars in your garage. Cars you weren't able to play anywhere else. So, once my garage was full, I quit playing it. NFSV - Porsche had a similar issue. There was a lot of good cars and especially great tracks, that you can only play in history mode and never again.

This game lives eternally in my head. The soundtrack... well, no one debates it's easily one of the all best. And we all can clearly see the graphics are an amazing achievement. But the thing about the visuals is more than just graphical fidelity. The art direction is something even most fans don't quite fully appreciate. Right off the bat, the menus are a clean, modern aesthetic that today's corporations like Microsoft, Apple, and Google simply can't come close to. The devs nailed the flat, minimalist design decades ago and no one took notes. But then there's the tracks. These tracks are absolute masterpieces. Everything is designed with care such that there isn't a single point in any track that isn't instantly recognizable. The track artists knew exactly what they were doing and were at the top of their game. Look at a track like Edge of the Earth. Pay attention to the trackside decorations; signs, billboards, buildings and structures. They're all placed to be easily identifiable as you blaze past them at high speed. Highlights such as tunnel lighting contrasts the cool colors when outside. Smaller lights on columns and poles flick subtly over the car as you pass by. I know very little of art or color theory, but Namco surely did. Then there's fun events such as the plane landing when you return to the sister track Brightest Nite. And that brings me to other things like Shooting Hoops having fireworks going off all through the final lap, which I must add also has the designated music track also timed such that the climax occurs right when the race is at it's most intense. Unmatched attention to detail and care. THIS, is what people mean when they say older games had soul. When I played this as a kid, I imagined what even greater works of art I'd see in the future of gaming. Little did I know I was playing the best racing game that would ever be released.

The Best ps1 Game thanks
Games with this amount of production value really show off how good this emulator is. It's ridiculous how low quality this looks on the PS Classic in comparison.
I love it!
gorgeous intro
I managed to win with mappy and prc team with grip car... I also tried with Solvalou with drift car, but i lost at Heaven and Hell😅
Juego hermoso. Lo voy a retomar de nuevo.
