The Laksa was amazing!! You really get a lot of food in that cup for the money. Just the right amount of heat. Loved it. Oh,and the Portuguese egg tarts were a nice finish….so good!
Yo Jon, I just came back form my 2nd NYC trip and I want to just thank you for all the work you put into making all of your incredible and HELPFUL videos. Thanks to you, I avoided getting "robbed" by a seller who almost got me with $20 "change" trick, felt safe while riding on conductor subway cars and in general many other things you tell us about in your videos. I've visited Bryant's Park Christmas Market few times and who knows if I just missed you there haha. Who knows, maybe I will see you wondering around during our next trip? Cheers from Poland!
@@BigPatrys15 so cool to see your comment, do h still live in Poland ? My parents are also Polish but I was born & raised in a German speaking country..
I used your Thatch guide last time I was in the city. It helped me find that amazing halal up by Fox news. The guide was like being able to ask at any time somebody who knows the city really well, like they were standing right next to me.
Wow….that was a lot of food! It’s a fantastic spread and for a group of up to four, you could eat all those options with a shared serve. Between the two of you there is a broad food palate, the dishes you had appealed to both of you which is great. Keep up the great work Jon ❤❤
We're going to NYC on Christmas Day. I had a few days off work and we're driving to NJ from NC. I want to take my wife ice skating for Christmas and let take her to see all the lights/trees. Just for a day, what do you recommend off the beaten path around Manhattan? We're planning on ice skating at the Wollman rink in CP. Any other tips, suggestions for cocktails or tasty snacks ? Anybody? Thanks 😊
Lots of eating places are closed for Christmas Day. Most people go to Manhattan Chinatown to eat. I recommend "Peking Duck" on Mott Street. @@ericgilbert8725
I'm hoping to be there for two weeks in Feb. I'll have to watch my budget so street food and pizza slices for me. This market will be gone by then but I've your other videos to refer to food my food options!

From Adelaide Australia we are lucky here Laksa is widely available such a wonderful noodle dish for comparison generally $10 US. The food looks great but damn those NY prices!
The food at the Bryant Park holiday market is WAY better than at Union Square, but you still won't catch me there after Thanksgiving -- TOO CROWDED. You can't even move.
@@f1pro910Street food is not always cheap. Even in other countries if high quality ingredients are used, you are going to pay the higher price even if it’s street food. Personally I’d rather pay the higher price of better ingredients.
@@ramencurry6672feel like street food suppose to be cheaper since they don’t have the operating expenses of a full restaurant and they often expose to more people on a given time compare to restaurants. But in NYC at least, the food from street vendors often way more expensive than the restaurant that’s behind them.
i have to admit that the smell of the raclette kept me away. but the portugese egg tarts are amazing and the lady who sells them is so nice! i love the bratwurst too! was not a fan of max brenner's italian hot chocolate. lol i was there two separate days. came in from jersey to take pics for people in front of the tree.
Not food related, but we are holidaying in NYC next November and wondered when theatres release their show line ups for that time of year. Thanks for the videos, they are very helpful
Thanks for the great video!!! We will be in NYC next weekend for the Holiday festivities! We have binged watched your content so we know how to best spend our time!
Interesting, going to have to try making this at home. Raclette IS NOT Emmentaler (what American's call Swiss Cheese) cheese. very different! Gherkins, sausages and boiled potatoes are the usual accompaniment.
4:23 Being a Cheesesteaks enthusius myself, I would say that cheesesteak would be so good in my belly. But the only thing that they are doing wrong is not using the right bread with the sandwich. If they used a good Italian roll, the bread would not break apart so fast from the moisture of the meat and truffle sauce. But I would still eat that bad boy because the bread in NY is way better than the bread here in Hawaii.
The raclette has do much cheese 🧀 😎 i still need to try this. I can never get to the truffle cheesesteak the line is always through the roof, it does really look good though, it’s a messy goodness. The laksa looks very hearty. I met the guys from the Paella spot a couple of weeks ago. I need try some of it soon, especially i love paella. 🥘. I have the Chinese version of Natas the Portuguese egg tart. I need to try them and compare really soon. 🤤 I’ve had bomboli and their hot chocolate is good. Great video Jon 😎😊
OK, so I'm a little confused. Action Kid just posted a video complaining about the cost of everything in the Markets and how crowded and dirty they are.
Nope, I paid the $22 for my cheesesteak. I agree the market is very expensive. But these are small local businesses, some of which don't even have their own food trucks.
If the prices were so low and everything was $5 the lines would be so long. Personally I’d rather pay the higher price and not wait over an hour. If you’re on a budget, you could go to Queens where there’s less foot traffic
@@-SarahElizabeth- What was incorrect about my statement? The location is in Bryant Park. Not far from Times Square. If the prices were so low it would be way too crowded and there’s already a lot of foot traffic in the area
Was at Bryant Park last weekend and it was ridiculous. Wall to wall people, lines for the food was 2 hours long. The crowds look much better in your video.
I hate truffles so much now, simply because everyone and their mother seems to think it has to be added to every food item on the planet. On fries, sure kind of ok. On a burger, pretty ok. But on everything else under the sun? No thanks. Truffle is overrated as it is. I just don't understand the obsession with it, other than it's an expensive item to use so it makes it "gourmet" (which it doesn't but whatever) and tons of fancy smancy places use it so "regular" people think it must be incredible.
