I was also a film production major in college and I totally understand feeling like your ideas are not as good as everyone else. I felt like everyone came into the program with a lot of experience and it really took a toll on me because I was new to a lot of the content we were learning. I just want you to know that it does get a lot better and towards the end of my program, I was making films that I am super proud of still to this day. So, hang in there! Your content is already amazing and I love watching your videos, so don't be so hard on yourself. You're just as talented as they are, if not more!

I understand the mental block issue. It made me feel like an imposter sometimes during my internship this last year. Glad to know it's not just me and that it gets better
as someone who is going into their first year as a film production major, this helped a lot
Imposter syndrome is fairly normal in the creative realm. Shaking it off is difficult, but essential. As I near the end of a long teaching career, your videos continue to give me new ways of communicating with my students. Instead of comparing yourself to others, look for ways to be inspired by others. Trust me, they are looking to you for the same inspiration. Follow your instincts and trust your training. Engage your imagination; it's your super power. Continue to challenge yourself. Your skills in narrative and editing are excellent and will continue to develop as you grow. I don't know you personally, so I am hesitant to say I am proud of you, yet I am proud of you for taking that step into solo travel. There is no experience more formative and life changing. Thanks for tolerating me in your vlog comments.

omg as someone who just graduated from film prod i totally get the mental block thing! at first i always thought something was wrong with me when my peers could come up with amazing ideas on the spot whilst for me it took weeks, and i felt like i had no natural talent. but i assure you it'll get better!
I will start soon with class, haven't been to school for like 6 years so it will be kinda strange for me but I'm excited!❤

For the past couple of weeks I have been binge watching you. In this current phase of my life, i really resonate with you, the way you think and plan and function. Your Notion setup has saved me from myself who would stay up late trying to figure out how she should organize her life. I would really like to see two things: how you actually plan your day on the day of in the planner you mentioned and how your iPhone homescreen looks like. When i find someone i really resonate with, these things are the two top-most things i get curious about. Would love to see them

as a film school alum, the people who get the most out of school and have the best careers are not the people who come in with the most experience or talent, but the people who are open to learning and take their time to practice, experiment, and understand different parts of the process. stay humble, ask questions, and have fun!

Thanks for sharing, despite being on a completely different major I feel the same. My major is biochemistry and I also feel like everyone knows more and are more capable than me, so I think it's a common thought when we join university
