I'm glad I found your channel. For the last three months I've been watching vlogs of Americans and Europeans living in China and what they show of life in China is jaw dropping and very intimating. From their vlogs it looks like China is living in 3024. So modern so advanced and so hi tech. I was literally panicking. Your vlog showed a little less intimidating side of China's rise as the global leader of everything modern. The train you showed was late in arriving at its destination and for a time the dining carriage was locked and breakfast was delayed. And the TV didn't work. This side of China is very soothing to watch and very nicely compliments its very modern side. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Your dad is very blessed to have you accompanying him. Can see he enjoyed and soaked the whole train scenery. I am a Malaysian Chinese who took this train in 2016 from Shanghai-Beijing. The best experience was the dinner in the train. I was looking forward to see you getting a seat in the dinner carriage.

Slow trains have their charms in modern time's obsession with high speed. The room looks nice for a night or two. Services are fine even with no luck with the dining car. Thanks

You mean Indian trains having head-on collision 😂😂😂 Sorry, you wouldn’t pay me enough to go to India. Don’t want the holy cow fertilizer smell in the air, the water pollution in the Ganges River, and the overcrowded and lack of sanitation on the streets. I’ve seen enough Indian vlog videos and I see with my own eyes. No way India can compare to China. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

小时候父母带我坐过几次软席（俗称包厢）我和妹妹12岁之前都是半票。福州北京，福州上海，上海北京，北京沈阳。最后一次是1970年福州上海。记得那时候的车整个车厢都是羊毛地毯。整节软席车厢基本都是空的。没有啥旅客。软席车厢如果只是是两个人，上面的床位都折迭靠墙的，窗帘都是厚的绿绒，遮光很好。车厢内尤其连地毯都非常干净（上海北京的宾馆地毯看上去干净豪华，作为小孩子光脚走来走去，白床单上就会有明显脏脚印，而软席车厢内地毯不会），桌上和床头都有读书灯，总之氛围更好，更高级的感觉。
好怀旧的感觉呀，可惜现在这样的车厢在常旅客的列车上都没有了，谢谢分享你的经历:-)

这是RW19T的高包车厢（高级包厢）哦，顺便科普一下，餐车在中国铁路的普速列车编组里是用来隔开坐席和卧铺车厢的，而且越是等级高的卧铺车厢越靠近餐车，所以在非饭点期间为了保证卧铺车厢旅客休息，防止坐席乘客过来“串门”，所以会锁门，btw父女俩真能吃😀

很不错的视频，一点也没觉得乏味，编辑的很好。绿皮火车看着好久远，不论是外观还是内设，还以为是朝鲜的火车。 其实不如把这种车内部翻新专门打造成观光列车

Yeah...unlike high-speed trains, some of the slow trains still allow smoking between the cars
