My favourite city ever. Been there 7 times, travelling over there from Switzerland. Best people, best music and just absolutely beautiful countryside. Miss it so much. 🎶🎶❤️🎶🎶
So glad you visited Nashville. Been here all my life and tons of stuff to see. There are actually 4 people buried at the Capitol. If you up to the building there are two men buried inside the walls. One of them helped build it. Hopefully you got up there to see the tombs. It's also apparently haunted and they say you can hear the two men buried in the tombs arguing.
Ginger Overstreet well dang Ginger where were you the other day when I was there? You could have showed me around! That’s fascinating about the building I had no clue! Thanks for the info!
@@SCOTTONTAPE One of the men interred within the walls of the Capital building is the architect, William Strictland who was a famous architect from Philadelphia. Strictland also designed the downtown Presbyterian church on Church Street. Take a look inside that church - amazingly colorful Egyptian Revival.
The builder of the Tennessee State Capitol building (where you were at) is interned inside the buildings walls. Another hidden grave. Interesting story behind it too.
Hi, went to Nashville a couple of years ago, enjoyed it but was a very busy place, a bit scary as I come from a very small coastal town in England uk called Scarborough. Went to the new opry as well, they mentioned that the old opry building got flooded. Never knew about the secret grave but can't say I'm interested when it involves slavery, very much against that sort of thing. We went to see the place where Martin Luther king was assassinated, very sad I found. Keep posting!!! X
Vicky Edwards thanks Vicky and yes I too went to the Lorraine Motel just the other day to film a video about MLK, one of my heroes . Hope you like it when it’s up! As for Nashville, it’s an amazing city and really busy , I didn’t find it scary however , but throw me in the middle of a small coastal town in the UK and I might be out of my element! I would love to visit there one day. We have a city called Scarborough here in Toronto right where I grew up, I wonder if it’s named after your town . Hmmm🤔🤔
I just came across this. The State Capital was also built on an Indian Burial Mound. While you were downtown, you should have checked out Printer's Alley. Next time that you are down there, park in an all day garage and take the bus. Glad to see that not much has changed since I lived there.
I use to live in the area. I saw the Batman building. I was up on the 27th floor of one of those buildings one time. It was spooky for this Indiana farm girl.
President Polk was not the only United States President to own slaves, and many slaves were treated as family and became property owners. Please let me Clarify I do not support slavery, nor do I believe that the Civil War was necessary, but that's another long discussion. Keep up the splendid work Scott and thanks for what you do...God Bless.
I love this video!! I guess cause I live in Tennessee too lol!! I live in crossville about 2 hour drive . We go at least 4x a month if not more.. Bridgestone is awesome!! Nashville is amazing!! Glad you got to go there.. you come back anytime darlin!!
I noticed that the drinking and the band's sure start early in Tennessee. A lot of western wear for sale and no one wearing it! Lol. Another awesome video! Thanks for all the time that you put into them. Peace...
Jackson didn't like what he said so he cut your audio...lol Great video, I love walking with you, just scared we gonna walk into someone. Thank you Scott...Never knew that about Jackson

Yes Gram Parons did play there with the Byrds. He played Hickory Wind and got booed and was told he could never come back. So Sad! They did not consider him country enough
LMFAO your dying of heat......well is HOT everywhere .!!!!! When I did my BUcket List to Graceland and placed my father (well some of him) with Elvis grave...my cousin was living in Nashville and we were driving around and it was when the "Black Lives Matter" rights were going on and there was like 1000000 people marching and chanting and we were like .... "Ya tis time to get a move on"...HOWEVER Nashville is AMAZING !!!!!!!!
TRACY that’s beautiful u got to memorialize your father at the grave of the king. As for the heat....well there’s nothing like Tennessee heat in June! I’m burnin up!
Yes my father had Elvis hair til the day he passed in 2013... I was raised on Elvis and Bob Seger.... bunch of GREAT things to visit in Detroit .... :) BE ready !!!
This was very informative and funny. I need to pay attention to my project more and not you so much 🤣. I messed up a whole row. On the I got to use my lip reading skills. Sadly American history has some horribly heartbreaking sides to it.
Would you talk about the grave of U.S. Grant? He was a slaveholder too having married a Kentucky women. The Grant family carriage driver was a slave. Amazing how the fake history affects us all. And, there are two graves on the Capital. Inside the structure proper on the North wall is buried the architect of the Capital Building.
I know it is probably pointless to post on these older videos, but I will take the chance. You like true crime, and next time you are in the Nashville area, you should check out the murder of David "Stringbean" Akeman, and his wife, Estell. He is famous, but most famous as Stringbean from the old tv show, Hee Haw. Quite an interesting murder story there!
@@SCOTTONTAPE It is quite interesting...and not sure you remember Grandpa Jones...he lived across the valley from Stringbean, didn't see smoke coming out of the chimney, so went to check on String and his wife....he walked in and found them murdered. For money.... which was never found until the house was torn down...and twenty thousand was found hidden in the chimney.
Yes.... slave owner or not always show...its part of history ...we may not agree with it ... but back then we werent alive to even have a say.... Love the vids...!!!!
TRACY thank you Tracy ! I’m glad you’re still enjoying the videos ! I’ve been doing a ton of research for my next trip to the D and I’m getting very excited. It doesn’t matter what city I’m in, Detroit is always in the back of my mind. I love that effing city .
TRACY I’ve been many times to Detroit and I love that city . I’m doing a bunch of Eminem videos there but if you know some secret places that’s gonna definitely help!
Your right. I like the old country but, the new country, nahhh, not so much. I love Tennessee! Can't wait to go back someday! Like your videos man! Keep it up! Very interesting about the president's grave. Sad about slavery though!
