- The Supreme Court stayed a Madras High Court order. The order permitted police action against Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev’s Isha Foundation in Coimbatore. On October 3, the top court also took over the case and asked the Tamil Nadu police to file a status report. A three-judge bench, led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, heard the foundation’s challenge to the High Court order, which had drawn attention to the foundation due to multiple criminal cases filed against it.

Aside from the case of these two women , in accordance with Madhav Gadgil panel report the elephant corridors in Nilgiri Biosphere occupied by Isha and Karunya should be restored to the elephants with reforestation and water resources.
