I love when Gizmo says “You’re okay!” Sometimes we need to hear that. Even though we haven’t told anyone we’re not okay. ❤

Omg I can’t get over how well his speaks. Yes when some birds talk you have really listen to what they say. But he when talks it’s so clear. It’s amazing. You have one special bird that is for sure.

He's the most smart African Grey! 🤩 I just love him!! Even we have 2 African Grey's in our family. One is named Rio and other ones named Bella!

I just love him. Recently, one my indian ring necked parrot died. I had two. And now the older one is left alone. They weren't in one cage but they supported each other and couldn't live without each other. I am thinking to bring a parrot that could live freely a home without any cage like this.
Oh yes, please, these wonderful creatures need a friend, a buddy, a lover......nothing worse than for the surviving one to spend the rest of his/her days alone...
well, that is what my heart tells me at least....are you in India? I loved India so much, was there 3 times in the late 90s and early 2000s.
And I LOVE GIZMOOOO too....i cannot describe just how incredibly happy he makes me. _chirp chirp_
@@lowandodor1150 yes I am Indian. The other one that I have is my age. A month or two elder to me. He was alone for many years first and was happy and dominating 😅 but now he's used to having a companion beside him. I'll get him one.

@@ayushishukla8725 Hi, i only made it to, startign from Delhi, to Rishikesh, Ganganani, Varanasi, Bodhgaya, and up to the Parvati Vallay into a tiny village called Chalal.
Although i was fascinated by the trains and busses, i was so happy arriving in a place, so i decided to stay for weeks and weeks in one place, i thought, i'd rather get the feel of one or two places, than to stay for a few days everywhere and then do the whole, get a Rickshaw, go to the bus terminal or train station and spend the next 30 hours on a train again. But i definitely would have loved to make it to some other places too. It is just so incredibly huge. Another sort of regret, i always went during the winter months here, so November until March and therefor never got to see an Indian Spring with all the flowers in bloom and all that, but yeah, i guess i'd have to live there to see it all, haha!

@@gizmothegreybird Wow. I also have a male African Grey named Cody. We rescued him 2 years ago but due to his foot injury he hates hands and still won't let me handle him. And the people who had him before chopped his wings. Can you post a video of how and what you feed him daily. I have mine on the zupreem pellets but he doesn't appear to like them.

Do Parrots learn more in larger families, when they see more interaction happening? Or do they learn 1 on 1?
Does he enjoy when you repeat the same answers, or is he trying to get new stuff out of you?
Sometimes I think he is caught in a spiral… - how about reading him children’s books? I hope he still wants more / different stimulation, or does he get validation out of repeating stuff five times? - It feels like you are both trying to get something new out of the other, with all the same inputs over and over again… - You know what Einstein said about expecting different results, when doing the same stuff over and over again…

I think Gizmo is repetitive because he knows there's more to say, but he hasn't been educated to all the words and ideas. Parrots can understand ideas.. and humor.. and you can do more then just talk what is basic toddler stuff. They do have the capability of learning and growing.. of thinking about concepts. And sharing their results.. they need the words. I think Gizmo is smart enough to do that.. if guided to do that. IF not, everything he brings to the table anyway is a wonderful connection for any human to take part in.
Yes, he is still learning so much! He attentively listens to our conversations and each week he has new words and phrases! He’s just so smart 🥰🥰
