About us:
After meeting in New Zealand back in 2017, Beth and Jake have travelled the world, working online and creating memories.
Beth left the UK in 2014 and has been travelling full time ever since, she is the owner of www.sheisthelostgirl.com and has a passion for writing and photography.
Jake has been travelling since 2016 and during this time has perfected his photography and videography skills. He is adventurous and has a passion for the outdoors.
Having lived in various countries around the world, we decided that instead of settling down, we'd build a tiny home inside a van.
We've never done anything like this before, we have no building experience, no electrical experience, and no plumbing experience.
This is a huge learning curve for us and we welcome you to join us in this challenge.
Our Wild Horizons documents a journey of continued adventure.

Best video yet!! The lord of the rings scene is SO dramatic! Well done jake 🥰
I almost pictured you to saying “they’re taking the hobbits to Isengard!”
Fantastic!! Loved this xx interestingly Jits into the sunset followed your lead & tips 😉💕💕
Thank you for watching our video too! 😀👋
I am obsessed with the videography in this vlog! What a stunning place 😍
All the epic drone shots and dramatic music were giving me Lord of the Rings vibes 🤣
Haha thank you Sarah! It felt like we were in LOTR the whole time we were there 😀
What an incredible vlog.... you should be so proud of it. I said WOW so many times while I was watching. Some of that scenery didn't even look real! Definitely one to put on the travel list!
Thank you so much Amanda! It definitely our favourite video we’ve made so we’re delighted to read that you enjoyed it. The scenery was magical the whole time 😀
Such an incredible video! That scenery was breathtaking, the Dolomites are firmly on my bucket list now 😍

It was truly magnificent, just before the peak summer crowds too! Thank you for watching 😀
Such an incredibly beautiful video 🥰🥰 got me excited to visit the dolomites. Almost as excited as I am to see your take on all the places we have just explored together 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you guys! I’m m excited for our reunion and having such a lovely time with you!
Love it guys! You’ve done such an amazing job! Might have to detour to these locations when we are heading back north 😜
Thank you!! It was amazing and definitely worth a detour!
Back in UK after epic 8 week trip to Tromso and back. Catching up with all our Fav U Tubers. Love this Vlog thanx so much for sharing.
Loved watching your little adventure to one of my favourite parts of Italy! Lagi Di Carezza is a protected area, hence the fencing around the lake. There are little gaps in the fence where I've seen other photographers venture down to get a few snaps, but if it's busy you're pretty likely to get told off by other hikers or the guards there! Such a shame, because it's such a beautiful lake for reflections and photography
The whole area was the highlight of this trip for me, I was left in awe of all the landscapes multiple times each day.
That makes sense about Lago Di Carezza, it was still beautiful but good to see they're protecting it.
Thank you for watching our video - Jake
Thanks so much for this, and a beautifully well made video! Will add those locations to our list for September when we finally head back out again.
You’ll have the most amazing time! Fingers crossed the toll road is still open in September for you to get to Tre Cime as that was my favourite area 😀
Wow!! The views looked awesome but above the clouds looked incredible!! I imagine it looked amazing in person!! Awesome video
It was phenomenal! Absolutely loved everything about the dolomites but that was a highlight!
Oh my gosh guys 😀... I lost count how many times I said WOW throughout - amazing views and superb cinematography! What a wonderful watch 😍. Safe travels guys.
Thank you so much!

Omg the Dolomites looks insane! Your videography was awesome too, you know I’m a sucker for drone shots 🤗. Can’t wait to see your next vlog 🤟🏼
Thanks Nic! You’ll have to make a trip out here one day 😀
The way you pay attention and frame the nature in your video is awesome … lovely duo. I live near Annecy france which also has some amazing vistas .. you should travel here someday
Thanks for the tip of Cadini viewpoint. I did not know it was there. Thanks for the info of Tre Cime toll and parking. Best to you both.
Glad to help! Thanks for watching :)
Awesome!!! Really helpful for my July 2023 trip here.
oh you're going to have an incredible time there! Thanks for watching
Thanks a lot for the info!
You said you parked quite far away and walked all the way down. Where exactly did you park in order to go to Carezza Lake?
I'm going there soon with a campervan too...
Whoah I loved that vlog, great drone footage too. Still making my toes curl when you stand near the edge though!!! Take care both of you xx
Thanks Andrea! I always make sure she’s safe but she’s sensible enough 😀 The drone stuff here was amazing, I just had to let the footage speak for itself!
Stunning! Those mountains are insane! You guys smashed this video 😁
Thank you so much! They were incredible mountains and we’re glad you enjoyed the video! 😀 Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment 😃
Love your adventure, everything is my bucket list on van life
Thank you Charlene! So glad that you’re enjoying it all!
Well that was good..... lovely drone footage too - Thanks
Thanks John! It was an amazing place to fly the drone, the scenery spoke for itself 😀
I am mesmerized!!!❤❤❤wowww!!!!😮
Thanks for watching, Julia! It is a truly beautiful place!
6:00 That is so beautiful, sad that the closest thing I've seen that looks remotely like this was Whiterun in Skyrim!
Oohh I haven't play that in many years! It's honestly mental how beautiful the Dolomites are!
Beautiful! Good to see you vlogging again.
The Dolomites look stunning.
Who needs télévision when we have you and CamperVibe to show off the wonders of the world.
Thank you 🙂
Ooh thank you very much for the high praise! Very glad that you enjoyed it 😀
Yeah so good to have them sharing their beautiful cinematic videos again isn't it 🥰🥰
Hi guys!!
Your music and acenes are BREATHETAKING.
please tell me What do you thing to go there November early !
Good Morning, from Washington State. Breathtaking! Your videos are always so beautiful. We found your channel while doing research for our own van a couple of years ago (thanks for the faucet!), and have looked forward to your videos ever since.
Thank you so much for writing that comment! Ah the simple faucet still serves us well, glad you liked it enough to use yourself! 😀
I loved this place so much!
Best place we’ve been for sure!
Absolutely stunning 😍 I am glad that I found your channel. Superb location and marvelous videography.
Can you set up a rooftop tent in the carparks???
Yay thank you so much for checking out our channel and taking the time to leave a lovely comment :)
We did see a few people set up roof tents but not many! In Italy there is a rule that says you can’t show “camping behaviour”.. so campervans can’t have their awning out or chairs out etc, so I’m not sure how roof tents would fit into that :)
If you do go, hope you enjoy!! :)
Headed to the Dolomites for a new job this fall. What a wonderland!!! How fortunate I am.....
Absolute dream work place for that work life balance!
I suggest you to visit marmolada, tofane, lagazuoi, sass pordoi mountains in dolomites.
We’ll do that next time!
Thanks for the high-quality video and great info! I struggled to understand any of what the guy was saying (perhaps just due to nasal issues?), but this was great!
He is deaf and uses hearing aids 😊 and he does absolutely brilliantly despite it 💪🏼
Love the Dolomites. Visited there 30 years ago.
My favourite place in Europe! Wow, sounds like it's time for another visit if it's been 30 years!
Totally incredible vlog. Amazing locations. Pure wonderful dream ♥️♥️
The mountains are soo beautiful and definitely magical 🤗
The view point I’m in love it’s beautiful. What amazing place to spend together 💕💕💕
I love the roads one day il love to do this 🤗
The drone footage is totally epic 💚💚💚💚
Wow the pods ride looks amazing 🤩
Thank you for such a truly amazing beautiful vlog 💕💕💕💕☺️
The lake at the end is truly beautiful 😍
Thank you so much!! You always leave the loveliest of comments and we’re so happy that you continue to enjoy our videos 😀😀
@@OurWildHorizons love your video your both amazing ♥️ thank you you making them I know it’s soo much time goes into them and truly appreciate that while watching them. Beautiful video ♥️
Amazing vlog and trip. What month you went? congratulations. Love it.
June I think, just before the summer rush! Thanks for watching 😃

Loved this video thank you made my top 3 so beautiful 😊 🏔😍
Ooh thank you so much! It’s a must visit!
I’m falling in love with Dolomite. So beautiful. I have plan to go to Switzerland in May and maybe I’ll go to Cortina (a town in Dolomite). I’m not sure which month in this video :)
This was in June so you'll have similar weather in May! Absolutely fantastic place, I'm sure you'll love it. It's by far my favourite place in Europe 😊
The video did it justice. Beautiful
Thank you so much!
7m:26s. I could never do that! Great video though and brilliant tips. Thank you 👏👏
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it!
What an awesome place, drone shots harm my heart. 🥰
It was so beautiful!! Aw glad to hear that 😍
What a stunning place. And we thought we had been to some beautiful places. Desperately want to get to Argentina now. We have lake envy 😭
Oh we would absolutely love to visit Argentina! You’ll have a magical time!
Stunning videography. That’s all I can say 😀
Just went to these amazing places and it was brilliant. Should definitely add Seceda to the list too.
We agree! Need to go back and see Seceda and more 😊
Dream Country Italy❤
Lovely video.
One question - when do you exactly visit there? Which month?
I’m planning to go August so need to know to know about the weather. Is it cold enough for Wilde camping in August?
We went in June just before the summer rush. August is their hottest month and surprisingly warm still up in the mountains but should be pleasant enough in a tent.
Amazing. Im looking at doing a trip and have looking at hiring a van in Italy (we are van people but it looks cheaper to hire a van for 6 days rather than drive there from the UK) rather than book hotels and b and bs so we can go anywhere.
Are there loads of carparks we can stay in overnight like you guys did for €20, do free spots exists? What time of year did you visit during this trip/ would you recommended?
Thanks so much
Yeah there’s loads of free spots too, we just paid that one time to sleep right near the lake! Definitely the best way to do it!
Lovely video
What were the dates this video was taken
This was just before the summer rush I’m late June/early July 😊
Fantastic views!
I wish there was more scenery and fewer talking heads shots though.
Thanks for watching! Ah it's always a struggle to find the balance, as some people want all talking heads and others such as yourself and me (Jake) prefer the scenic shots. Hopefully you still managed to enjoy it enough though!
What time of the year did you guys visit the Dolomites?
"I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS ITALY" 🤧
I can't believe that foreigners would think that we are just a country with beaches.😢
The Alps (northern Italy, our natural border barrier) and the Apennines (central and southern Italy) are mountain ranges that have always existed in Italy, full of ancient villages and mountain towns.
It’s just a title of a UA-cam video, calm down
@@OurWildHorizons I was calm.
(I may have misused capital letters; it is interpreted as "yelling" online. My mistake! 😉)
wow....5;40 mins.....wow xxxxxxx
EPIC😃😃😃
Thanks a lot Lee! 😀
why you wrote: I can't believe this is Italy? Of course it is Italy. Good part of Alps is italian, you didn't know?
It’s a title of a UA-cam video so people will be interested to click on it to find out more about this beautiful country
@@OurWildHorizons lol. I suppose you believe this is Italy. A title made just to attract viewers. But italians are jealous of their beautiful country, telling you don't believe it is Italy, it can be similar to say: " to much beautiful to believe it is Italy" supposing Italy is believed to not be so beautiful. Sorry for my english, hope you got the point.
South Tyrol is not Italy!
@@namenlos40only part of Tyrol has Dolomiti Mountains (Valle Aurina for instance not), and only part of Dolomiti are in South Tyrol (the most part are in Belluno, Udine, Pordenone and Trento provinces)
Dolomiti area is one of the seven best location in the world
100% and the best in Europe for us by far!
lago di braies a well kept secret? Did I read that right 😂
We’re referring to the UK viewer of which the vast majority of have never even heard of the dolomites. Most of us think of the coastal towns and Rome when picturing Italy. Just because you know about it, doesn’t mean everyone else does. But thanks for watching!
It WASN'T a rabbit or a hare....it was a TORTOISE!!! hahahahahaha 🐢I do believe that Jake owes you a foot massage, darling, Y'all are such a cute couple. ❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽
South Tyrol is not Italy!
Yes it is shithead!
why all the music. I have to mute most of the time
Because 99% of people enjoy music (we love it too)🤍 can’t please everybody! Thanks for watching ☺️
@@OurWildHorizons Let's assume it is 50%. = Half the time scenery music. Everyone is pleased!
Nice but hard to understand
Thank you! Please explain how it’s hard to understand so we can improve for our next video 😊
