I just cut my own curly bangs like 2-3 weeks ago, and I started thin and wispy for a few days before deciding to make them thicker, and I’m really happy with the results, my bangs end right before hitting my glasses so it’s perfect. Now I just have to figure out the best way to style them and get used to styling them.

I paired the bangs with the pigtails haircut and I absolutely LOVE IT! I know, summer bangs, sketchy, but I live along the coast and I usually have to tie my hair back at work to see what I’m doing. Now I can have my hair down AND see. It’s beautiful 🥹 and I have much more volume and shape than I did when going to the local curl specialist. Thanks Mell!!! 🥰

I would love to see a hair cutting video that would show how to go from say Amanda’s length, to your length..just how to take off length. And how to volumize the crown area in those with thin hair. I have great curls at the bottom, but I’m thin on the top and unfortunately, I’m unable to go get a proper hair cut even if I had a curly stylist near me. I need a good curly hair cut! I love all the hair cut videos. I just wish I knew what was best for my situation! I wish you could give private hair cut consults and tell us what to do like you did with Amanda.
Absolutely love my curtain bangs! I have slightly longer ones, they start just below my eyes and go down my cheekbones. I find they help my 5head not look so prominent 😂 my 16 month old naturally has perfect wispy curtain bangs 🥰
Would you maybe consider doing a video on side swept layered bangs? I wear my hair parted on the side and like to blow dry my bangs straight . I wear them to the side, feather layered. I used to trim them in between hair cuts, but with the pandemic they've gotten really long and I've forgotten how to. I don't want to make a hot mess of them Thanks.
I'm so glad I came across this, thank you! I went to devacurl salon and the lady, accidentally, blurted out to me "oh you have a really short forehead" which then made me not want to get bangs. We have very similar face shapes and forehead lengths and this really solidified that I want bangs! Thank you mama
I’m so glad I stumbled across this video! As a wavy with a convex side profile (I learned that from your choosing the right haircut video) I’ve often struggled with bangs. I love having them but they grow out so quick and I haven’t really known the right way to style and maintain them. Not only was I able to successfully cut my bangs by following your instructions, I was also able to blow dry them nicely using the Denman brush. Genius! So much better than using a round brush. And the best thing is that you could even guide me on how to navigate and accomodate for my cow lick (which strongly favours a side part). I couldn’t be happier with the results. Thank you ❤

I seriously FCKD my hair up last year when I trimmed it - twice - with dull ass scissors. I was at work, bored, and needed a trim. So I used the pair at my desk & got to work (been cutting my own hair for almost 20 years). 3 or 4 weeks later I saw a ton of split ends. I was baffled, but trimmed again. Mid trim, I was looking extra closely, and as I snipped a lock of hair, I literally watched the ends fray IN REAL TIME! I was horrified! I immediately went to amazon & bought cutting shears and now everything is much, much better

I've wanted curtain bangs for a really long time. Hairdressers in my area don't have experience cutting curly hair. The ones that do are wayy too expensive. You're a life saver thank you so so much 💕

Newly licensed (about 4 months) hair dresser here! First, thank you SO much for your knowledge and time. Second, when you cut the curls, is there a big difference if you don’t stretch them out? May I ask why you do that method cutting into the C vs. cutting into it without stretching? Thank you ♥️
Would you do a video of different types of bangs for curly hair? My bangs are kinda like the mannequin with wavy hair but I have a strong cowlick that results in a natural side part. I've always had bangs by cutting the "bigger" part of the bangs shorter because if I grow it out, the strand of hair tends to curl towards my face and it's annoying having hair on your eyes.

Just gave my bangs today, cut them little by little aka kept them really long and then slowly shrank them. Mostly point cutting to get the look I wanted no blunt cutting. I really learned a lot on your video.

I used this to cut my bangs and I really like them. But I definitely think i will let them grow and I don’t plan to cut my hair like this again. I find a middle part with bangs difficult to style on my 2c -3a curls because it’s just flat on top😭😭 and the other thing is bangs are kinda messy and I’m not that big of a fan of that. Sooo if you do this…. Consider everything😂

I had mind done in a salon & I’m not too thrilled, but you showed me how to fix them & thankfully my hair grows fast. I just wanted to let my hair settle after such a big cut. Going in this week! 💇🏻♀️ While I’m annoyed they’re too short, I can let it go. This was a gigantic change, not just bangs & I haven’t styled my bangs curly before. In 9 years, this is the first miss. Give my hair a month & it will be good. Hi Mell, I recently cut my bangs after watching your video, I have 3a-3b curls. But the bangs don't seem to curl well like the rest of the hair ends, even after finger coiling. So it doesn't look like I expected it to, any advice?? Hi Mell, I recently cut my bangs after watching your video, I have 3a-3b curls. But the bangs don't seem to curl well like the rest of the hair ends, even after finger coiling. So it doesn't look like I expected it to, any advice?? Also please make a video on how to sleep with curly bangs, cause if I clip it up at night, then in the morning they'll be standing right up instead of downwards

My stylist typically cuts my hair straight and I definitely want more layers and maybe curtain bangs. My hair is a lot like Amanda’s so I wonder if I should ask her for more of a shag with curtain bangs? Like would it come out looking right?
About the season, this year I’ve got curtain bangs around mid/ending winter and in the morning when there was fog they’d get wet just as eyelashes

Great tutorial! Had bangs cut a few weeks ago by someone who I believe had no idea of how to cut curtain bangs on curly hair! Gonna have to wait till it grows a bit and will def use this video to do it myself!
