  • Scream thy last scream old woman with a casket
Blam blam your pointers point your pointers
Waddle with apples to crunchy Mrs. Stores
She'll be scrubbing bubbles on all fours
Scream thy last scream old woman with a casket
Fling your arms madly old lady with a daughter
Flat tops of houses, mouses, houses
Fittle and tittle and zittin' quack quack
Watching the telly till all hours, telly time!
Fling your arms madly, old lady with a daughter
Scream thy last scream old woman with a casket
Blam blam your pointers point your pointers
Waddle with apples to crunchy Mrs. Stores
She'll be scrubbing bubbles on all fours
Scream thy last scream old woman with a casket

And I think the words to this are amazing poetry!
They remind that the management at the record label were basically turning down nearly everything that Syd came up with... The song candy and a current bun, Was apparently originally with the working title"Roll me up another one"!!! So the name would have been a little bit of a hipster reference jet nowadays no one would really even register. Just like the working 2nd verse here..
"Crene her last creme squirts the girl from her crumpet"... Which legendary caused three label executives heads' to esplode!

The more I hear from Syd in his latter days with Floyd, the more I think he out-freaked, or FREAKED out the other members if the band.

This is the inferior 2010 remix!
Why the hell couldn't Roger and David just leave this track alone? Nick's Drums are too loud and bombastic and there's some corny panning at 1:52~1:55 during Rick Wright's extraordinary Farfisa Organ solo!
I've heard Gilmour remixed this. He did a worse job on "Vegetable Man"!
After making us wait 50 long years, they go and fuck it up by remixing it!

The original mix with that annoying squeaky voice turned all the way up? Sorry but I'll take this punk mix any day of the week. The drums are the best part of the song.

@@ThatIsDopeBro I don't think it was annoying, I think it was trippy and awesome. But it's very disturbing when you lower the pitch of the audio and hear how Syd really sings it. You can tell something is very seriously wrong with him, but this was also the first song he'd presented them with a week after his first major breakdown.

Ummm....Huge PF fan but i guess they were better off moving ahead with Roger as band lead. Syd's musical legacy may have plunged them into the vast space, but Waters lyrical genius established the Pink Floyd signature sound for all times to come.

dudelove94 Gilmour made them sound like they did. Either way Waters & Gilmour's Floyd couldn't have existed without Syd's and maybe even vice versa in retrospect.

Roger can not touch Syd's lyrical ability!

@@navynugget7 Truth. Even in a frazzled, lost state, Syd was the best lyricist of the era and to me, the best of all time.
