I love how despite hundreds of videos, across many years, repeating it, Craig has made sure that, even in the no talking ASMR videos, we have an explanation as to why they do not use a ladle for the corn syrup.

I have made pecan brittle now for over 50 years. This is the first time I've seen it made in big batches. I use a small sauce pan and pour the brittle over the pecans that are on a cookie sheet. U.S. A..

Not a candy maker myself, but I have watched my grandmother make peanut brittle dozens of times when I was a kid. My favorite part is when the baking soda is added, making all the bubbles and giving it that signature hardened sponge texture that brittle is supposed to have.

I have always loved hearing the banter between everyone in your videos, from even way back to when you were working in the basement. I personally feel these no talk ones are boreing. Others amy feel differently. You cn only watch someone silently make the candy so many times. Please forgive my ignorance, but I thought the purpose of adding the baking soda was to slightly aerate the brittle so it wasn't so hard on your teeth. Wouldn't smashing it down and thinning it out beat out all the air? It's been a while since I've made a brittle, but I might have to try again with pecans.
